Thanks for the replies all! Related question: Is there any purpose to the short curve tracks other than to connect them and make a long curve track? Do you just douse as much of the inside as you can with the lubricant and then rinse/wash it out?

Hi all, I just picked up my first monorail set. The two switches I received were very stiff and only work if I manually move the switch. Does anyone have a good method of cleaning or lubricating them?

Hi all. I recently got the passenger train and cargo train sets to fulfill my childhood dream of buying Lego trains. Naturally, I have an extra IR controller. What's the best thing to do with it? Sell it? Save it so a friend and I can control different trains at once?

Thanks for the review. I just got this set from Amazon when it was 25% off. I was wondering if anyone's been having issues with their minifigs. My crown isn't fitting snugly on anything and keep popping off. The legs also feel looser so it seems like it's too easy to bend the minifigs' torsos forward and backward.

Do you have a link to the street standard? I found the creator's site but the instructions were meager.
