"Are they all dead?" Hoke asks as he dismounts,"Down in the cavern. All of them?"

It would have been nice if you could have brought some of your Dastanian kin," He says, immediately thinking about Vipera,"I hope your efforts with the dragons there were fruitful." Hoke looks about a bit. "Should we be off?" he asks the party.

"She will not do the same to us. When have you and I ever been defeated. It may not even come to that." Hoke looks at the others. "Are we ready? Shall we take flight or keep to the ground?"

Hoke's anger only strengthened his resolve. He stroked Torc's neck, not immediately knowing how to respond. He wadded up the paper in his gloved fists. "We cannot leave just yet. There is something very wrong. Very, very wrong, and I intend on setting it right."

It made sense story-wise when it happened. I was above level 50 (I think), and we were in Dastan with Vipera, a small dragon Hoke saved in one of his earlier quests. We had met the dragon enclave earlier in the quest. I want to say it was the Around the World quest.

He didn't want to admit the hope in his heart, but he recognized her as soon as he saw her in the sky. But she was bigger, MUCH bigger than she was last time. He held back the urge to rush her, to run to her, as he strode steadily towards her, his eyes locked her her molten amber orbs. The other orb in his hand melted away back into the glove's pouch as he lifted his hand up to caress her snout. She lowered her head down. He ran his hands over her snout, scales, and spikes, as she bent her forelegs and knelt before the Paragon. He grasped a spike and effortlessly hoisted himself upon her back as she stood back up. It felt like it should have. They were one. He looked down at the party. "It looks like we can go anywhere we want now. I believe we can all fit up here too." Hoke assumes the role of Dragoon. He removes the Medal of Glory and Helm of Prestige and equips the Samurai Helmet and Iceborn's Improved Summoning Amulet.

Zoot's Order slowly shifts from a short sword to a wickedly tipped spear as Hoke's eyes are fixated on the approaching dragon. "Everyone, out here," Hoke calls out.

Can someone fill me in real quick on the reasons for each destination?

(I say we split into at least two parties: one of level 30+ and one of Sub-level 30. Should be easier for WBD to balance battles that way instead of having a level 40 and level 20 or 15 in the same party. Thoughts?)

Exactly. That's why I said a vote. And I'm not sure why we are trying to win 'hearts and minds' of people who don't care. Maybe I need to go back and re-read, but every chance at peace and talking was balked at. Besides, who says the Town Watch and Paladins represent the city?...

@Palathadric @Kintobor - what's the point of throwing the smoke bomb? The party has already KO'd several enemies, and the Town Watch and Paladins aren't going to stop. The only way to get the 2 out is to win the battle.
