  1. "You are a mage of sorts, are you not? Do you possess either standard gems or ethereal gems that I may procure from you? If so, what would you ask for in return?"
  2. I could swear there's a Monty Python skit to cover this.
  3. "Mayhaps summoning another powerful ally or creature to aid me in battle? I believe the creature previously connected to the amulet has been killed. Twice now. I will leave it with you then if you think you can do something with it and will return." Hoke steps back as the skeletal being continues to examine the amulet. "Melquiades, City Center please." "Also, would you know anywhere, aside from the Forge Master, where I could get a hold of some standard gems and ethereal gems?"
  4. Hoke and Torc both had to fight the urge to pounce when they saw a bearded skeleton with flaming crimson eyes. Having realized this was indeed Cpt Iceborn, Hoke introduces himself and Torc. "Hoke Ablesword, sir, and my draconic companion Torc. I have heard you may have interest for dealings with the Cold Circle. On a quest recently, I ran across a few of the Circle's acolytes and acquired this," Hoke says as shows Iceborn the Used Summoning Amulet,"From what I understand it was once used to summon a mighty sea beast. Can you tell if it is of any more use or could be recharged?"
  5. Hoke shakes the cobwebs from his head as he helps Torc to her feet. He pats her head and rubs her neck gently in way of apology. "We may be back later Forge Master, but, as of now, there are other things to attend to. Melquiades, Iceborn's office." I'd like to get in on the Frozen room action as well. Can we coordinate that?
  6. Repeat till the battle is over.
  7. So PCs do full damage to allies when confused? Yikes. Hoke grunts in frustration after realizing he took out his only real chance to win this fight. As stubborn as always though, he continues the battle. Hoke - A, Zoot's Order, Back Row
  8. Nah, keep it water. I like the challenge. You just owe me later.
  9. Ahem. Because of your deviousness, I didn't question WHY the Water Sprite was Dark type. If it's supposed to be Aquatic, I would have done something different, like Hoke going to the back row and changing the Medal of Glory for the Electro Gear.
  10. Hoke and Torc stalk towards them enemy. Hoke - A, Zoot's Order, Back Row Torc- B, Fire Breath, Back Row
  11. "I'll try this one," Hoke says as he presents his Aquamarine to the Forge Master.
  12. "Yes, could you tell us the ethereal properties of each gem. Also, is there a place on this island where we can purchase more gems?"
  13. "We caught word that perhaps you can assist us in finding or creating gems similar to this," Hoke says as he shows the Forge Master his Etherial Topaz.
  14. The tip of Torc's tail flit side-to-side, like a cat's would before pouncing on a pitiful mouse. But she pulls back, and curls her lip in what would be considered a haughty smirk. "Melquiades, the Forge Master," Hoke says, eyes locked with that Chaomancer.
  15. "My lady, the job seems to already be taken," Hoke says as he looks at Guffington,"I would think he would find this objectionable, and I am not sure exactly what qualities you see in me that I may successfully fulfill this role." Hoke shakes Guffington's hand. "This may be utter foolishness, but tis true we will not know until we find out. "Again, Arthur, will the extremes. I do not think Chauncey is a monter," Hoke says eyeing the man,"I just do not trust him or his motives." Hoke moves to respond, but Torc steps toward the chaomancer, her eyes letting him know that he spoke foolishness, especially when mentioning her.
  16. OoC - Will the other PCs have a chance at forging etherial gems?
  17. "And yet here we are, determining whether or not we should resurrect your brother on account of his presence and actions effecting the entirety of the world." "So why not search for a LIVING being that is suitable to fulfill your brother's role in all of this?" Hoke eyes the man disdainfully. He places his hand on Torc to calm her as she turns her gaze to Chauncey, a bit more threatening than Hoke wants it to be. He doesn't trust Chauncey, at all. He reeked of desperation for power. Hoke resolves in himself that if anything went awry in this, that perhaps Lord Chauncey would have to join Passion on the other side of mortality. And he still hates witches. "Have you taken into account the possibility that Passion does NOT want to come back? Or that just because it can be done, it doesn't necessarily mean that it SHOULD be done?" "Vengence, on a whim..." Hoke begins to doubt the integrity and wisdom of the famous Lord Guffington. "It would be a chaomancer that mistakes common sense and prudence for morals." "You've disqualified yourself to speak about logic once you stated you are a chaomancer. Seen your kind before, and I am still unimpressed." Hoke steps forward of the group, directly in front of Guffington. He looks the man directly in his eyes. "We have fulfilled your contract: We have delivered the artefacts here to Etheria. Anything else from here on out is extra, and compensation should match, especially if something goes wrong." Hoke looks back to the group, then back to Guffington. "Torc and I will see this through. But know this, if Passion comes back as something that shouldn't be," Hoke pauses as Zoot's Folly spasms almost uncontrollably in his gauntlet, causing his hand to shake. He calms it with a clenched fist and continues,"If Passion comes back as something that shouldn't be, I will send him back from where he came. If not, then congratulations will be in order." Hoke extends his hand to Lord Guffington to seal the deal.
  18. "Aye," Hoke says,"And how do we know he will come back the same?" Hoke eyes the Mother intently with Torc doing the same. "You admit you and your brothers are mere mortals who drank from the Fountain. Tell me, what would happen in a world without your Passion? What powers do you have, as mere mortals who drank from the Fountain, have that others living cannont obtain through the Fountain?"
  19. Hoke couldn't help but nod his head in agreement.
  20. "I will just say I haven't had pleasant experiences with gods, old or new, necromancers and necromancy, and mysterious powers lately," Hoke says,"But we will see what happens at this point I guess."
  21. "What do you know about these particular skulls?" Hoke shakes his head. "Obviously." "I will help you on this. I too would like a look into this room. I have something that may come in handy there." "I never intended to harm our employer. It's the thing he proposes to do that I say I may have to kill. For such big ears you don't listen very well." "Let us go."
  22. Torc eyes the smaller dragon, not sure whether to be amused or not. "It would seem you, as well as your human, take offense rather too quickly. I would think a dragon as well as its dragoon would have thicker skin. And you would do well to brush up on subtle humor. But alas, there is very little about Arthur that is subtle, and methinks his dragon is the same way," Hoke looks Arthur with a disarming chuckle, "Temperamental, yes. Subtle, not at all."
