  1. Like the sliding scale I proposed with SP? Certain level heroes do X hits on this range of level enemies?
  2. Got to think about that one.
  3. Ok, thanks. Edited. Can Hoke guide Torc towards the enemy to perform a breath attack or not?
  4. Hoke used a Remedy on himself that round. He should not be blinded. Hoke steers the blinded Torc as the touch down on the outer-wall. As the rest of the party engages the foes and cannons, Hoke once again digs in his pack and pulls out a Remedy. "This should do it." Hoke - Remedy Torc (Guided by Hoke) - Cannon C
  5. How about a system with just Hits and not Hit Points for both PCs and enemies?
  6. I'd suggest some sort of chart/sliding scale where enemy level & PC's SP affect the outcome. Something like a PC w/SP 10 has a 50% chance to take damage from enemies at level 11-15, 75%, level 16-20, etc. Or something like that.
  7. So what if SP is converted into % chance of not taking damage? No matter what the level or SP, the PC can still take damage.
  8. 1 more thing about Heroica 2.0 - Free Hits. I think they should be re-evaluated. Maybe something where the enemy has to roll as well: Hit, Critical Hit, and Countered Hit (or something like that). If the heroes have a chance of dealing a receiving damage on their turn, so should the enemies.
  9. Hoke quickly rubs his eyes, trying desperately to regain his sight but to no avail. He digs into his belt pouch and pulls out a familiar feeling vial, consuming it's contents. He then guides his still blinded dragon to their destination. Hoke - Remedy Torc - Drop off party members
  10. I've thought about this too. Maybe a PC can earn and swap out abilities for Shields and 4s. I like the idea of the 1d6 battle system as is because it's 'realistic': when a PC attacks an enemy, there's a chance to be counter-attacked, like a real fight. If anything, I think the 4 roll should be swapped to something like countered-damage where both parties take 1/2 damage. So 3 rolls would benefit the PC, and 3 would be detrimental.
  11. Like feats and abilities?
  12. "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." I'm really not bothered at all with the d6 system. In fact, I think it's genius simple. I understand and see it as a balancing mechanism. But, as I've said before, and others have echoed it, I think what really 'ruined' the game was the artefacts and immunities. Maybe, if there is a 2.0, immunities can be treated similar to artefacts: the amount you can have is affected by your level. Also, perhaps weapons can have a fixed amount of 'slots' to insert gems.
  13. That's fine. I set up the action so that Hoke gets a hit while still mounted on Torc, then Torc flies off.
  14. Torc shakes herself free of the wind blast. She drops off her passengers and makes her way back to pick up her intended. As they fly out, Hoke strikes at cannon A. Hoke - Zoot's Order, Cannon A, Back Row Troc - Pick up PCs.
  15. Hoke swoops down on Torc to the ship. As Boomingham and the others scramble on top of Torc, Hoke tosses a Confuse Bomb on the starboard side to add to the mayhem.. Torc - Pick up PCs. Hoke - Confuse Bomb, Starboard side.
  16. My plan was to take out the 2 cannons on the inner wall. They are currently being manned with no additional enemies. @Waterbrick Down - normal bombs will do 1 damage to each hatcling & cannon on that front, correct?
  17. Hoke and Torc target whoever hasn't been targeted. If all are targeted, attack highest HP.
  18. The artefacts and upgraded weapons really threw things out of whack. Uncontrollable power creep.
  19. Hoke can't help but laugh as the fangs, scales, claws, cannons, arrows, blades, and fire all crash together in mid-air and teh ship sails forward below. Torc flies high above the fray and dives into in once again. Repeat attacks on other flank.
  20. Torc speeds high into the sky, above the swarm of drakes, dragons, and wyverns. Hoke looks down at the flock and finds his target. He directs Torc without a word, and they both dive down, the wicked tipped spear elongating into a lance. Molten fire begins to bubble and drip out of Torc's maw as she unleashes a gout of flame as they crash into their foes. Hoke - consume Titan's Heart (Free Item Use) Hoke - Zoot's Order, Speckled Wyvern A (whatever Row Atramor said to take) Torc - Hunter Wyvern A (whatever Row Atramor said to take)
  21. @Waterbrick Down - Can Torc pick up more party members to give them the "In Flight" status?
  22. As the party scarmbles about the deck, Torc with Hoke on her back spreads her wings and vaults into the sky, diving back down and flying just in front of the ship.
  23. Hoke looks up and spots the lone wyvern. He looks at Torc and estimates if she can catch up to the wyvern before it can sound the alarm.
  24. Hoke nods to Nerwen. "Greetings to you Lady Nerwen."
