  1. Here is a land owner, his trusty hound and two of his servants transporting goods down the river to the next town. Loaded on board are succulent apples, rare herbs and spices, exotic treasures and a few barrels of a stout brew. Comments and critiques are welcome:
  2. I got 920 from BL and the 933 from Lego. I forget that BL only counts bricks, etc as pieces while Lego counts minifig parts as well. Thanks for the correction.
  3. Thanks to Count Blacktron over at Classic Castle: That looks like a huge difference, especially when you consider that 7094 KCS has 920 pieces, 10 minifigs (3 with breastplate armor), a dragon, and a barded horse vs 7946 KC with 933 pieces, 8 minifigs (2 with breastplate armor) and a barded horse.
  4. Pretty decent set. It was have rocked my socks off if it had a printed torso. I got one, plan to get another. With mine I switched out the head for a Vladek head to give him a more sinister look.
  5. I'd love to see Griffins. A black griffin with a red tongue on a gold shield. Faction colors would be black, red & gold.
  6. I have a set of the light bley castle wall pieces from KCS.
  7. Anyone seen 30062 'in the flesh' yet? I wish those Kingdoms promos were being handed out in the US.
  8. Haha. That was the story arc I wanted to use with the pictures, but I didn't feel like mocing trees and setting up minifigs. Basically the treant wakes up after a couple of smaller trees around it were cut down, and it harasses/mauls the woodsmen.
  9. Ever since I saw the Crystal King, I knew I should make a Treant. I pretty much copied the skeleton of the Crystal King but used the ball joint bricks instead of hinge click bricks for the ankles. I made a few variations to show the different styles achieved by changing out the finger/hand pieces. Comments and critiques are welcome: Normal Treant: Black Thorn Treant: Razor Branch Treant: Snarevine Treant (probably will be redone and more swampy looking): Comparison Shots: Brickshelf Folder Hope you enjoyed!
  10. I bought both of them at a Lego store in Friendswood, Texas.
  11. I have a few in my BL store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=DjinnWing
  12. I will try to get it done today and update this post with pics. You can really tell a difference if you put white legs on the Lion soldier.
  13. Got this one today and if it weren't for the pink torso, would have have been a neat little set.
  14. One person has said they do have the arm indent and the legs are not as transparent as they used to be. From CC:
  15. Dragon King Dragon Queen Bandits Peasants Lion Champion Dragon Champion
  16. Same goes for the other two.
  17. I'm ok with a little bit of classic fantasy for this line. What I would love to see is a set of a dragon's cave with a new large molded dragon or a brick built one with molded parts ala Crystal King with a brave Lion knight saving a maiden in distress. I'm ok taking a break from orcs, trolls, skeletons and dwarves for right now.
  18. Does anyone currently have both of these sets built per instructions (not moc'ed or customized in anyway) that could supply some side by side comparison shots (front, sides, back, top-down, minifigs, accessories, etc)? Thanks in advance.
  19. Thanks for the review! I can't tell in the pic, but is the white on the horse barding pinkish?
  20. Interesting. I bought castle stuff in the 80s all the way up to KKI and never had a soft ABS sword. My first was in Fantasy Era.
  21. Inquiring minds want to know! (I thought I knew, but I was wrong.)
  22. Hmm.....not good.
  23. Thanks for the review. My only concern is that the white printing on the barding and soldiers' torsos looks very thin and pinkish.
  24. Thanks for the review. Five horses in any set these days would be awesome.
