Hoke lets out a cough. Without any words, he unslings his pack, unties his kriegsmesser, and loops the scabbard back onto his belt. He readjusts his sword and pack and wipes the soot off his face.
-
Not cool.
-
I am stoked. Can't wait to use it in battle. I'll have to work up a detailed description and reveal as Hoke 'inspects' the sword at Heroica Hall after the quest is completed. Hopefully it's not a story item that Hoke has to give up.
-
"Agreed," said Hoke.
-
"I shall use this well. Many thanks," said Hoke. He unblucked this kriegsmesser and slid it between his back and backpack and tied it secure. Hoke buckled on the longsword's scabbard and then stepped through a few sword drills to get a measure of his new sword. The cave was a bit dark and there was a quest to complete, so Hoke decided he would have to further investigate the sword and its strange ruby back at Heroica Hall.
-
Hoke draws out a longsword from the pile. It is well balanced with a fine edge. Hoke senses something else about the sword, beyond it's physical appearance. The ruby in the pommel seemed to swirl and glow.... Hoke shook the daze off and looked towards the party leader, hoping he would be partnered with this fine blade.
-
Hoke wiped his sword off on the nearest slain beast. He slid it into his scabbard and walked over to the crates and barrels the dogs were protecting. OOC: Is there anything suitable for a knight in the crates and barrels?
-
Take all the time you need. My condolences for your loss.

Hoke slowly turns his head back to regard Ellaria. He throws her a wink and turns back around. Hoke twirls the kriegsmesser in front of him and with a sharp flick points the sword back and downwards. He raises his steel buckler up and close to his chest and prepares himself to launch towards the rabid dogs. Hoke will attack Rabid Dog A from the front row.

How about a theme based on Halloween/Horror?

I would love it if Lego made seasonal polybags. For monsters/horror, each polybag could be combined with other polybag sets to make scenes like one polybag has a mad scientist and lab while another would have a monster and an experiment table. Put them together, and you get a nice little lab scene. Heres a few I would suggest: Mad Scientist with lab equipment Monster with lab table Hunchback with digging tools and coffin Vampire with table and wine glasses Werewolf with small tree Zombie/Skeleton with tombstones Witch with fire, cauldron and cat Damsel in distress with small wall and chain/hand cuffs Hero/Monster hunter with weapons and practice dummy I know most of those have come out in the CMF series, but I would love a differnt take on them for the above scenario. -
Seeing the effectiveness of his buckler, and the eagerness to end the battle from his fellow adventurers, Hoke takes a defensive stance. Hoke assumes the sentinel position on the front row.
-
I will take that.
-
Seeing the rabid tenacity in the dogs, Hoke assumes a defensive stance. He could damage the animals with skillful strikes, but protecting his quest mates seemed more important. "See everyone, my shield works just fine!" Hoke laughed as he greeted the dogs' attacks with a steel buckler to their muzzles.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

Lil late to the party bro, plus pics stamped confidential can't be deeplinked. -
I have both and much prefer the pearl. If anyone wants to trade, I have 10 baggies of the chrome gold I would swap for pearl gold.
-
Hoke draws his sword, holding it out to the side ready to strike. He lifts his buckler up in front of him and lowers his stance. Hoke will attack Rabid Guard Dog A from the front row. (OOC - I suggest 5 of us target one dog, and the 6th member target the other dog. This should hopefully kill the first dog and any attacks remaining will be transferred to the second dog.)
-
"Onward. We have a quest to complete."
-
"Thank you. I hope to put this to good use." Hoke slips the vial into his belt pouch
-
Nice. Reminds me of my mercs in the employ of the Crown army:

"It seemed like his icy hands went right through it. Maybe it's not as bad as I thought." Hoke felt his body lift slighty and muscles tense as Ellaria's healing magic took effect "Thanks for your healing Ellaria. I had thought to tread the path of the cleric once. You're an asset to this party, and I hope to prove the same." Hoke inspected the rest of himself and checked his equipment. He adjusted his pack and cinched it up a bit for a tighter fit. He rolled his shoulder and streched his side where the skeleton had score a hit. Thanks to Ellaria's magic, everyting was better than new.
-
"I need to make better use of my buckler next time," Hoke said followed by a pain wracking cough and chuckle. Hoke pressed his buckler hand into the gash on his side and rejoined the group. He allowed himself to celebrate the victory on the inside, but did not feel too victorious on the outside. Hoke raised a bloodied hand from his side to inspect his wound. He wondered if he should consume his potion, ask for healing from the party's cleric or tough it out through the next battle.

Remembering all of his sword and shield drills, Hoke charged the spider with methodic intent. Seeing a split second opening, Hoke thrust his sword forward, striking true. With a crack of its chitinous shell and gush of ichorous goo, the spider collapsed in a dead heap. As the spider's hairy legs gave out their last rigored spasms, Hoke held his shield between himself and the undead and waded back to his place in the formation.
-
Hoke looks over to Tarn and nods. "Glad to be here. Let's bury this fiend in a proper grave."
-
Can healing potions be used to deal damage to undead?

Hoke stand defiantly on the front row, prepared to attack and prove his worth to the party Hoke attacks Spider C from the front row.
