    Exhaustion setting in, Hoke finds a comfortable spot on the deck of the ship, sets out his bedroll, and gets some much needed rest.

    Hoke wished the orc and human leaders good luck, and boarded the ship.

    Hoke approaches Hewyrt. "Hope we accomplished what you wanted. It's a mess for sure, but it looks like it can be fixed, if that's what these people want."

    Hoke's stomach turned at the macabre scene. It was sickening for such a warrior to be killed in such a nonchalant manner. He watched as the blood rapidly pooled around the paladin and started to flow down the bridge. "I have no love for this man, but he should be respected with a proper burial. His sacrifice has saved untold numbers. May the paladin's hatred of the orcs die with him and may those that live continue on in peace" As he spoke, Hoke picked up the paladin's staff and handed it to Prince David. "It's time for a new beginning for the paladins of the Northern Kingdoms."

    Hoke checks over his gear. Once everything is in place, he slicks back his hair from around his face and dons his helmet, awaiting the decision between the leaders of the region.

    "Mayhaps this misguided venture and subsequent defeat will only solidify your position and weaken her's in the sight of your people. Either which way, tis sad when a child attempts to usurp their parents." Hoke turns once again and scans the waters to see if the ships were still engage in a battle.

    Hoke accepts the items from Nerwen and gathers all the items he spread out for the battle (Medal of Glory - Jess, Scrolls - Boris).

    Neutralizer Hoke nods to Grishnod, "I offered her a chance to surrender and a peaceful return to her home, but she refused. Seems she had other plans. If only you would have arrived a little earlier, we could have avoided this huge mess, but fate had other plans."

I admit I am not well versed in Baltarok orc culture, but it seems like the orcs do not like each other and were only united in hate. How do you know the men who gave the orders to raid the orc capital are here? King Valentino had just arrived with us after being held hostage by the orcs for years. Raguel commands only these dead paladins and a few more we previously fought against. Neither of the Kingdoms answer to the paladin's orders. It seems as if all the guilty players are now dead or dying. Speaking of which, you would probably still have your face cemented to these cobbelstones had we not stopped the orcs and helped stopped Raguel." Hoke looked around one more time at the Heroicans. "It seems that the consensus is that Raguel, and Raguel alone would be the only one here to continue this nonsense, unless Tarvalk has the same singleminded idiocy. To that I say let those two kill each other and let the hate die with them." "Only after she tried to kill us. How does Grishnod fit into all of this? Wasn't he the orc king or a clan leader? We helped free him."

    "Are those Four Boulders and Red Lizards dead? Was Prince David or King Valentino among them? Do you know how many innocent civilians were recently killed by the orcs? No, I guess you weren't here for that. I know your ego is big Guts, but it's not big enough to put you in two places at one time." "Where is King Speros?" Hoke thought to himself. He hoped the King and Prince were not among the dead, and more-so he hoped King Speros did not take part in the slaughter.

    "Agreed. No more fighting. The bridge stays in its place. The Kingdoms need to get their act together as well as the orcs. We were hired to do jobs. We weren't hired as political advisers dispensing so called justice for crimes that may or may not be connected to prior events that we do not fully grasp. If this is to end, it is to end here. If the Kingdoms and the Orcs want to kill each, then other so be it. If the orcs want to stay fragmented and clannish, then so be it. It's a fate that these people need to decide, not us."

However, if your path is the just path, then there should be no reason that you and you alone shouldn't be able to take care of these remaining orcs. I will not defend you from these orcs, and I doubt anyone else here will after the 'hospitality' you showed us."

    "Lies flicked off a serpent's forked tongue. You are using Prince David to further your own goals for the kingdom and killing the orcs. Not for your god, not for the principles of your holy order. We know how your paladins treat guests."

    Hoke points to the slain bodies of the orc warriors and states in a plain tone, "Again, the same can be said for the orcs. I did not seen any reason or peaceful intentions on their side. If you cannot see that, then you are a blind naive fool. There is no 'good' side in this conflict, just flawed people." "That would solve nothing. There was war long before this bridge was here. There needs to be peace. At least King Valentino wants peace. What about the orcs? What about Grishnod?" Hoke looks about again at the bodies, the blood, the brokenness. "Another battle is not the answer. Another fight is not the cure. This region needs peace that comes from mutual respect and understanding."

    "Raguel you can have. Prince David? No. How many mistakes did you make in your impressionable youth? He was misguided. There has been enough of those. Take Raguel, Cassandra, and the other paladins, but you will not touch Prince David." Hoke said evenly, in a diplomatic manner. Speaking of princes, Hoke looked around for King and Prince Speros. "The same could be said for Tarvalk and his kin, but this has been enough."

    "No matter what you think Tarvalk, we saved humans AND orcs today. The reckless actions of a few hot-headed individuals could have thrown this entire region into a slaughter filled war. We Heroicans spilled orc and human blood today, but only that of those who sought to kill their neighbor." Hoke turns and looks to King Valentino, then back to Tarvalk. "Does that look like a king bent upon conquest and genocide?"
