  1. Yes, we used that years ago, when there was no control panel in PuP-App and Pybricks not that easy to use as today. But: you loose all the advantages of the motors, like smooth control, precise speed control or load control and so on
  2. True, but not needed with the app, where its just one of 4 devices. Indeed.
  3. This is wrong, the program remains stored in the hub and starts if you turn on the the hub and press the green button. And you cannot use a smart device to control, only the remote, XBox Controller or a second hub.
  4. Sure, if you look at the "Loop" (which is the program) it uses three values: Hub (HUB1) Port (A) Reference to the slider (1) You should copy the entire program, then use HUB1 and HUB2, but as the reference to slider-symbol in both blocks reference to the "1"
  5. Yes, I just added some links (can't insert picture-URLs any more ???) Yes if you connect it with the hub. But you can connect 2 hubs and the remote all three with the app.
  6. You can use the PoweredUp App and control via screen (sliders) or LEGO remote http://www.werner-falkenbach.de/bricks/PoweredUp-Sliders.jpg http://www.werner-falkenbach.de/bricks/PoweredUp-Advanced.jpg http://www.werner-falkenbach.de/bricks/PoweredUp-Advanced-2.jpg http://www.werner-falkenbach.de/bricks/PoweredUp-Loop.jpg
  7. I don't think so, there's are lot of different motors, all of them (except train) offer much more features to move , the complete PU universe offers a lot of greatly expanded possibilities. So why should LEGO regret this?
  8. Obviously not, there was mentioned some "c+ System" ,and I don't know why @Auroralampinen used this expression together with smart play. And what about the "hate"? What is the idea of this post in the thread? Where is there any connection to topic? Perplexed ...
  9. Yes, it's not the "Move Hub 88006", but many articles worldwide use the term "Technic Move Hub", so did I. Of course, if it uses the same protocol it is a PU-Device, and my software which uses the LWP 3.0 should be able to control it. This is why it is important to define the devices properly, and not mix that with the Lego "Themes" Topic here is 2026 Technic Sets , so the complete mentioning of Smart Play is very off-topic. But agreed.
  10. Hi , I refer to this article by Kim Ellekjær Thomsen from August 6, 2018 https://lan.lego.com/news/overview/powered-up-afol-community-answers-r146/#_ Quote: Powered UP is the name of the new LEGO electronic building platform. This new platform has 2 main connectors: The new plug used for wired connections and a wireless RF connection using Bluetooth LE. The wireless connection is both used between physical Powered UP elements and to mobile smart devices. Current products using elements from the Powered UP platform are: WeDo 2.0, Boost, CITY Trains, DUPLO Trains and the App controlled Batmobile. So it is the platform and has nothing to do with sets, technic or similar. That's the question: does the LEGO Technic Move Hub use the LEGO Wireless Protocol 3.0.00 ? If so it would be PU, otherwise not. And if so I could use all may software to control it. Same question for Mario, the here discussed new elements or the new LEGO Education Science. That's why i think it is important to name products correctly, cause it gives a hint of the internal properties. Which is correct, but that's not a "system" It's just an app using LWP 3.0
  11. Obviously not. It is important to name things correctly cause it says something about their properties.
  12. There is no "Control + System", Control+ is just an app. It is used with the Powered Up System.
  13. So you can't use them permanently. A huge disadvantage. And if you don't use WLAN DCC requires metal rails for transfer of information. And the PU-Hubs have separate battery holders.
  14. Yes, I understood, I referred to the part why LEGO might have replaced 9V with PU. esp. in comparison to model railroad.
  15. How do you control two or more 9V-Trains on the same track / layout? How would you control a train via BT? Since 40 years the conventional model railroads use digital systems like DCC for these purposes But there you need some central intelligence and much more power.
  16. No, no failures with any PU device till today.
  17. Motor Control? Try: Add B-Buttons to "checkbutton" instead v use vA and vB run "function1" twice, one with vA, one with vB resp Run "Drive" twice, one or "motor1" an one for "motor2"
  18. Yes the LB1836 is the motor driver https://www.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/474975/SANYO/LB1836M/306/2/LB1836M.html
  19. I think this set has been started (developing) years ago. In fact the train motor is the only simple motor left. Perhaps it will be replaced with a new one?
  20. Hi, nice work! Perhaps I missed: how to the trains signal their position? Reed contacts in the blue/grey boxes in the rail?
