Mortimer growls, lunging at Seerus' retreating form. He sheathes Doppelganger, drawing his Aquabow and trying to fire at Seerus as he retreats. "Bastard!" he coughs, sprinting after the demon. "Bastard! You've taken more than enough! I will skin you alive! I will gouge ou--" His banter is cut short as he slips on Seerus' inky blood, slamming face-first into the cold ground. He lays there for a minute, breathing heavily, before slowly pushing himself to his feet again. He digs around in his pocket for the eyepatch the pirates had given him. Finding it, he adjusts it onto his face, turning to the party. His visage can only be described as angry. "That thing must die. Before or after the Regret, Seerus will die by my hand."

Em grinds his teeth again, his killer smile more vivid than ever, his crazed eye focused on the bloody demon in front of him. He runs a hand over his face, the dried blood peeling off as he claws at it, his tears frozen to his cheeks. "Ready to be torn apart, Seerus? I'm quite looking forward to making you a skid mark across this barren ground. A fitting end-- and the best work of art you'll ever take part in." Em slices at Seerus from the front row with Doppelganger. "But you're enjoying this, aren't you? You don't care if you die, do you? You just wanted to have a little fun before you left, yeah?" His hands ball into fists, his bloodthirsty grin breaks, his entire body shakes. "You're a monster who doesn't care about death. You shouldn't exist. You're an abomination. You're a mistake. You're nothing."

It'd be nice to have more access to Marauder, because I think it's a super interesting (and awesome) class, and were I to go with a more offensive class instead of a defensive one, it would be that one. I might try to spec for it eventually, but that'd be hard work with little gold and mostly tanky items on my hands. I also think weather mage looks really cool! The "buildup" with the Shield is a really cool mechanic. I like it. -

The Party ventures forth, heading towards their next destination-- the Clearing. Every few steps, the world shakes. The rain seems as though pieces of the sky are breaking apart and falling towards the ground, accompanied by a cold, cutting wind. The dark sun in the sky looks ever onwards, casting an eery light over the otherwise dull path. It doesn't take the party long to reach their destination, but as soon as they do, they dive for cover. A group of Dream warriors seemed to be patrolling the clearing, talking in hushed tones. "You reckon the boss'll reward us if we take 'em out?" "I reckon you're an idiot. This is a dream-- what's our reward going to be? Nothing in here's even real." "'At just means the reward'll be all the sweeter, yeah? Imagine what Maya'd be able to cook up for us." "Shut up and stop thinking about food, bastards, and keep your eyes peeled. I'd rather not disappear because you're incompetent." The heavily-armoured soldier sighs, muttering to himself. "Bloody world's falling apart and you're thinking about food. Why did I get stuck leading this band of miscreants, eh?" "If the Marquis wakes up, we ain't ever eating again, aye? Hope he keeps 'is eyes shut, then." "Damn intruders are breaking apart the world, though, sleeping or not. If it falls apart, well..." The red rogue shrugs. "As long as winter doesn't end, everything will be fine. And you'll get your grub, fatty." The white-bodied lancer seems to glare at his compatriot for a while, and after the in-charge armoured soldier barks at them to "shut the ever-burning Hell up, you worthless mutts," the group of enemies quiet down and march around the clearing silently. The archers at the back seem to be scanning the area aggressively, their faces always in motion, much like what their eyes must be. What will the party do?

Dream Lancer B killed! Docken lands a solid hit on the second Dream Lancer, blinding him, as Annienal protects herself from the first. Alexander skewers the Elite Dream Lancer with a well-placed arrow as Francis shows an impressive display of archery skill, shredding through the remaining enemies. The battle was victorious.
