  1. Well, as long as it works.
  2. Given that LEGO introduced I-don't-know-how-many new molds in this past wave, they can have a wave of exact clones for all I care. It's great to see they made so many new molds for this wave, too. Plus, clones aren't that bad when half of them have major pieces in new colors.
  3. So, preliminarily, I want to get Rocka, Rocka XL, and Waspix. Then I can put some of RXL's armor on Rocka and use the many remaining lovely parts as I see fit. <3 I also wanted to get Stormer 2.0 but that's pretty much gone out the window now that I've seen this lineup and the Alien Conquest sets.
  4. omg more Including Stringer.
  5. The UFO Abduction set doesn't have a trans-brain alien, and I don't think any other sets have a light brick. And the light is meant to act as a sort of tractor beam from the bottom of the ship. I doubt there's a light-up function for the brains anyway.
  6. The light brick is in the cockpit with the alien, and there's a little lever that pushes the button from the outside. Whatever the function is, it's pretty small.
  7. How many bone pieces are they cramming on that ship? Bummer about the lack of a deck.
  8. Any BZP member who <3s purple should vote in this. Also 3.0 ToyFair pics start on this page.
  9. Assuming this isn't a one-wave line, there's the possibility of a more MiB-type group later. But LEGO seems to be going for a cheesy-looking so-bad-it's-good space–troopers–vs.–little-green-men style to the sets, like something out of an old movie. It may or may not turn out that way, but I hope it doesn't take itself too seriously.
  10. I wasn't asking where people got the information because I doubted them. I was asking because I had no idea what they were referring to and I was curious. It actually doesn't look that tall. To me it looks like about three, maybe four bricks' worth of height before the canopy. One brick of height looks like it's for the alien to sit in, though, so that leaves the rest about two bricks high. It looks a bit taller than it actually is because of the way it's tilted. Of course, there could be more underneath that we can't see right now, so eh.
  11. oic I'm thinking there are just a couple of these in the underside, and when you plop the ship down on top of the farmer they grab his head or something. When it comes to LEGO sets, that's actually sort of clever. You're right, asking a question about one thing I didn't know was way out of line. I apologize for only taking the time to read the last six pages of this topic.
  12. Excuse the ignorance, but where on Brickset? I checked the product page and all it said was that it contains a light brick.
  13. I probably missed something, but where has it been said that there's an actual mechanism? I'd think it would just be a light brick or something to create the effect of the classic conical tractor beam.
  14. A purple-colored hero could work well, depending on the design and secondary color. Given the right shape, helmet, and Hero core/head color, it wouldn't look very "girly" at all. For example, I don't think the Zurg set turned many people away simply because it was purple. THough it was licensed, so the scenario is sort of different.
  15. People point to those and say "see?? she looks very feminine!" Of course, this is probably years after they found out she was female and had time to retroactively apply those interpretations to the design. I, for one, thought all six Toa were male at first, and was surprised when I read that Gali was female.
  16. I see Roodaka as a good set because she's well-constructed and has several good pieces, as well as a couple of exclusive pieces. Not because of the weird shoulder armor (the construction, not the piece).
  17. Alternatively, we could just wait a week for ToyFair. Not wrong at all.
  18. He'd better be a bear. I want to keep the Jimi the Pooh nickname alive. You already denied me Billy Blaze, LEGO. Don't you dare take this away. It's all I have. ;__;
  19. It may just be this piece, more of which I always welcome. Not necessarily. The black pieces wouldn't be "exclusive", since they'd appear in an[other] set.
  20. Evo had some purple so I'm clinging to hope.
  21. I was hoping purple or teal or brown or something, but yeah it's unlikely.
  22. "Foolish ninjas! I'll just sneak around to the side of this temple-" WHAM That feature is amusing.
  23. I like the fact that they're keeping each hero's color unique to their character. Which might mean we see some heroes in nonstandard colors, assuming they don't keep reusing the same nine heroes over and over.
  24. No, it's a dummy thing with swords that spin around it. Probably another training thing.
  25. That helicopter is so silly. I love it.
