Smaller how? It's a 1x4? The 2x4 should serve the same function but make it easier to attach the 2 wide top portion of the referenced build.

Here's another WIP that I'm stuck on. I like the front end & bridge enough that I don't want to scrap it. The idea for this was that it's an old freighter converted to an anti-frigate destroyer. Thus, it should look bulky and tough. I'm unsure of where to go next on the rear end / propulsion. Any thoughts? EDIT : Here's the original and now an update. Let me know what you think could be improved. http://www.flickr.com/photos/steebles1908/sets/72157632648856063/

Cool! Reminds me of ExoSquad.

A new collection of microscale ships that I've started. I came up with the name "Azuki" out of the blue - I wanted these ships to be built from a new Japanese conglomerate. Serendipity shone down on me, as I later found that Azuki is a Japanese "Small Bean," a perfect name for microscale creations! http://www.flickr.com/photos/steebles1908/sets/72157630769710138/

Amazing work. I especially love the inclusion of the access road (read: Habitrail ) that connects the buildings. Major Kudos! Great build!

Here's a microscale WIP. I'm creating a series of small fighters and frigates with a similar design language as they will all be from the same manufacturer/shipyard. This is the current work in progress - a heavier, close support fighter. http://imgur.com/XsiJ1Xt This is the first in the series, a completed build and the basis for future designs: http://www.flickr.com/photos/steebles1908/8360570473/in/set-72157630769710138/ Let me know what you think may be improved. Please be harsh, I relish criticism. I also need to add some sort of weaponry to the dark bley ship - not sure how to do this and keep the sleek look.

I bow to your skills. I thought my Triceratron had a shot at this contest, but now I'm not so certain.

I like that this build lends to the idea that the majority of the parts the squirrel used to build this machine were cobbled together from what he found in the forest. Nice job!

Alas, I wish I had multiple dinosaurs - I could make an army!

He was, look at the title of the first picture.

I changed my profile icon to something less creepy until I can settle on one I like. Glad you like the submission!

Yes, I've been trying to shoot the figs out of focus but keep them in as a size reference. I also need to work on getting a proper backdrop to shoot against. I will have to re-build the initial models - the buggy was actually a really fast build (2 +/- hours, no planning) but ideas kept coming to me non-stop and in a fit of crazed inspiration I dismantled the others to harvest their delicious dark red pieces. I'm pretty scarce on dark red, but have a couple of cracklink orders coming soon and should be able to fix everything.

Thanks! Anything that can be improved?

Brilliant! And as a cat owner, completely believable.

Here's a link to my newest project: http://www.flickr.com/photos/steebles1908/sets/72157632465544066/ A weapons manufacturer for private paramilitary organizations. Set in a fictional near future where military action is funded privately, as it has become too expensive for governments to maintain. Next two items in progress: An armored personnel carrier, and a remote flying drone. Please let me know what you think, I am always on the hunt for feedback and criticism. Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I included my flickr photostream link above. -
Greetings all! Just wanted to drop a quick note on the forums and introduce myself. I've recently come out of my "dark ages" and have started building as a hobby. I'm 30 years old, from the United States, and work in the Information Technology field. I've included a link to my Flickr photostream in case you are interested in viewing my work. I currently have two projects running. The first is a small smattering of microscale spaceships in progress. The second, and largest, is a catalog collection from Steiner Weapons Systems. This is an arms dealer set in a fictional near future, when countries no longer have the funding to maintain and field a large military. Thus, all military action is provided by private paramilitary factions that are supplied by a few large manufacturers. http://www.flickr.com/photos/steebles1908/ Let me know what you think!
