I like the idea of the mtt coming back, but I would be kind of disappointed to see it down-sized. just my opinion though. I like the idea, but it seems to big to be a set. Maybe if it was split modular style, 3 sets each coming with one of the monsters and main characters.
-
I think the 2007 MTT was pretty much spot on, I don't see how they can make it better. unless you mean so they're more available, as they are very expensive now, so I guess it couldn't hurt. as long as they don't skip out on the amount droids.

I don't know anything about psychology, but I do know exactly what you mean. I've been through the same thing, one week I set up a dino attack diorama, a couple weeks later I'm making an episode 5 hoth scene. It might be 'cause I like a variety, but again, I'm not a psychiatrist.

true, but it looks kinda dated and blocky next to some of the new sets.
-
looking back on some of the old sets, it would be nice to see a new AAT. I know we had one in 2009, but that was a blue CW version. A new TPM version be a good addition to anyone's droid army and would look very cool next to the 2007 MTT. (Which I unfortunately I missed out on. ) If it were to be a set, I would like to see it include 3 battle droids, a commander battle droid, and a gungan to fry.

they usually come around late January, but lego wants to keep all focus on the movie this year, so they are coming in march if I recall correctly.
-
They are listed on the website, but only for in store purchase.
-
To be fair, we did get that weird dinosaur head guy in the recent at-te set who showed up in the movie for 20 seconds and was then killed. ponda/walrus man may not have much more screen time, but he is a somewhat memorable character.

there's a project on cuusoo for a naboo cruiser,(of which I'm a supporter) as for the duel set, I'm surprised lego hasn't made one already, we have had 2 sets for the duel in ep.2, a set for the duel between obi and ani and the jedi vs. palps, in ep.3, (although not between yoda and palpatine) the death star covers eps 4 and 6, and cloud city for ep.5. you would think lego would have made one by now. granted they made a small set with jinny and maul on tatooine, but obi-wan, qui-gon, and darth maul have never been in a set all together. something needs to be fixed.I'm done ranting now. anyway, I have an idea on how theed set could be done, it can be seen here. I'm working on a concept in ldd.
-
A theed palace would definitely look great, but I don't think it has much room for playability, unless it's the hangar/generator room. I would be one of the first in line to get a duel of the fates lego set. come on lego! it's been 15 years! where's the showdown between obi, qui, and maul?

I don't think these are my thing. they're just to goofy looking. I'm sure they will be a hit with little ones though. kind of reminds of an old game my little brothers used to play called super bombad racing. In which you play as TPM characters with comically oversized heads on tinee tiny vehicles. I don't think I could get one without thinking of that ridiculous game. that's not necessarily a bad thing, but now I'm just rambling ..

I don't hate their reviews, although I'm not a fan. the opening can be kind of annoying, and they just seem bored and un-interested in their reviews.
-
well we did get the malevolence in 2012, and there is a project on cuusoo for the invisible hand which has over 6,500 supporters. sounds great to me. can't wait to see the at-at and star destroyer!
-
that is a good point, I guess we'll have to wait for it to be released to know for sure.
-
piece wise, the motorized version from 2007 was the largest. with 1137 pieces. which means the new at-at will beat it by ONE piece. although in terms of actual size, I'm not sure. I only own the 2010 version with 815 pieces.
-
so looking back at the report, it states the new at-at has 1138 pieces (about 300 more than the last one.) and less minfigs then the previous version, yet they say it's smaller. so unless they packed the interior full of all kind of detail, something isn't quite right. but then again, I guess it could change before it's release.
-
they may not know them by name, but I figure an average kid who saw ANH at least recognizes the "cantina band" and their goofy music. my little brothers did anyway.
-
excellent work once again nom carver! it's much better than any of the ones lego put out IMO.
-
I wish it was so, but I highly doubt it.
-
I guess there's the stormtrooper, but him and luke never cross paths in this scene. so it it is kind of odd.
-
*slap* thanks for pointing that out.
-
so just to clarify, the report states there are 3 biths, luke, ben, and a sandtrooper. and we already know there is a han. and I'm positive there will be greedo, so there is our cantina line-up. while I'm pleased the minifigure debate can now be put to rest, I'm very disappointed that there is no walrus man ponda.

I'm not a mod, but for future reference, please refrain from bumping ancient topics. some don't appreciate that very much.

I see. that explains why they are so expensive. I'm no mod, but I'm not sure that belongs here. probably better for the 2014 star wars discussion thread. -

where did this elusive red vader helmet come from? was it some kind of prototype?
