Depends on which way you want to take it. With IDEAS you would most certainly get a bigger audience and even qualify for a review, but seeing how many parts this diorama has, I doubt it would get funded. Plus they do alter your design and there's probably a clause in the agreement that prevents you from using the design for a certain time (just guessing). With instructions, you get a smaller audience and will take a lot of marketing from your part to make the instructions visible and desirable by a larger crowd. But you will earn money right away. Your choice either way. You can always make the instructions for yourself, if you haven't already, and see how you feel about it all.

Great great work! As an user already asked, will there be any instructions for sale? I'm working on my winter village and already decided to put in it a mill and a small waterfall that connects to a lake. So this fits in brilliantly with a few tweaks to winterize it. I also love what Maetick suggested to create a LOTR Shire theme

Lego trains are very nice and you can lose your head with them very easily. 3677 is a nice set and if you got it for a good price it's a steal. I'm thinnking of getting the 10219 Maersk train, but it's very expensive now that's off thhe market.

Great job! Really amazing work! -
I picked up for myself a SSD 10221 and it's huge. I don't know how big the 10030 SD is, but this one is just awesome :D

Welcome! In my opinion wives and gfs always complain about something... it's just the way they operate :D

Yeah... still it's nice to think about it Does anyone know what's LEGOs policy on UCS models - do they plan to present re-edited UCS models in a few years, or once they're out that's it? My thoughts here are bent on the possibility for them to do a makeover over their bigger ships and sets.

UCS 10221 Mod Episode II: The Modder Strikes Bottom
Seifer replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi Morten I just love your design for the SSD and it made me thinking of buying this awsome ship and modding it myself. Actually that is one of the main reasons I came to this forum - to talk and get ideas to build fun stuff. Anyway, since I'm not allowed to send PMs until post 10, if you're still around these foums just reply to my post... I have tons of questions I'd like to ask you :) -
I would love to see the Tie Defender or Predator. They look quite cool. And definately without any blue paint on them IMHO.

I totally agree! This ship is my childhood dream. I never managed to buy it while I was a kid. Lego ships are great and fun

Welcome Mikan! I'm also new to the forums. I see you love the Star Wars theme - it's my favourite also, but maybe coz I'm a big fan of the Star Wars universe :) Still those UCS models look great!

Hi everyone! I'm a LEGO fan ever since I saw the first pirate ship back in 1990 - The Black Seas Barracuda with it's two masts and white-red sails. I was around 8 or 9 at the time and i couldn't stop looking at the display window where it was displayed. Since my parents were not rich people we couldn't afford it and I remember feeling a bit dissapointed. Still, my dad had surprised me and my brother with the Carribean Clipper and I have very fond memoies of that ship. This was my introduction to the LEGO world and from that time on me and my bro received many LEGO sets for presents. I used to store them all in a box, empty the box on the big carpet of the living room and just spend hours and hours just sorting everything out. Each piece was carefully separated so I could have a better overview of what I had to build with. Manuals were not necessary as I used to build everything from my own imagination (and I remember the frustration when I was missing pieces to complete my masterworks) When I finally started college my mom and dad took the opportunity while I was away to send all of my LEGOs to my cousins half country away. I was angry when i found out about it, but it was too late. My cousins were very happy with their new LEGOs and I could just say goodbye to my LEGO friends. Years have passed but I always remember the great feeling I had while building a new ship or castle. Now that I have a nephew (still too young for LEGOs but we'll get there:) I'm becoming more and more interested in the idea to introduce this wonderful world to him. I also intend to do some building myself This is why I'm here... To talk a bit with this great community and to pick up new and brilliant ideas for future building. Wish me luck!
