  1. Looks good, has anyone seen these in the UK yet?
  2. Err I don't suppose you happened to notice if there are any of the new Space Police sets yet in TRU UK?
  3. The sets look great! Are they available in UK TRU stores yet?
  4. Hello everyone, I've been a huge fan of Lego for 30 years and I'm just wondering what the general concensus is of how far to pursue those sets we "grew up" with? Should we track them down now again regreting ever having sold them, or is the best thing to cherish the memories and enjoy the latest ranges? Any help would be appreciated
  5. Interesting advice, thanks all - much appreciated
  6. Hi everyone, I'm just wondering which one most people would recommend and if possible the reason(s) why? Thanks for any advice
  7. alot of interesting observations so far with alot of different views. so far, and i accept these are not official shots or indeed the whole range, i'm glad i got as much mars mission as i could... that having been said, if there is a hot police ship, i think it will look good with mars mission and integrate well
  8. fatastic review, fantastic set. my brother got this the same chrismas i got the 6929 space transporter (uk title), what an incredible time we has with those two awesome additions to our pretty huge space fleet! btw i've never worked out how lego take pictures of the ships in flight, im sure its really obvious if you know but for 30 years or so it has puzzled me (on and off obviously lol!) if you know by any chance, please share the secret. also, iwsh lego would bring back those huge multi~set vistas in their catalogues..!
  9. fascinating topic... i'm in my mid 30s and have been a huge fan of lego for over 30 years. in that time i don't recall anyone i've ever met saying they didn't like lego. interestingly the most recent example of this is a guy in his mid 20s at work has suddenly found lego batman on ps3 and is utterly hooked! when i mentioned about starwars and indiana jones too in lego he nearly burst and trust me i thought previous to this he'd be the last person i thought would be into lego. merely mentioning it seems to spark people's imaginations and ultimately what i say is just go for it, we all know it's terrific and that if you are unlucky enough to find someone who doesnt well we also know for sure that it's their loss!!!
  10. can't wait? - play this... HUGE space bargains on LS@H re MM... enjoy now with what we DO know while we wait until nearer next Christmas for SP
  11. hi friends treated myself to the Mars Mission Ultra Drill Walker for Christmas and have just built it ~ WOW its huge, magnificently spectacular and unbelievably awesome! i can't understand how Mars Mission sets have been so underated or that they havn't been pushed more into the eye of people. i can't stop looking at this breathtaking build and if you have even a passing interest in space ~ which you may have as you are here! ~ try and pick up this set. it is terrific on its own and looks very special with the rest of my Mars Mission fleet. particularly strange is that how the pics of this set don't seem to do it justice or convey the size of the beast!! being a huge fan of classic space i was mesmerised at times through the build at the nod to the classic space parts used ~ genious next; hypersonic operations aircraft..! can't wait ~ my goodness, what a great hobby...
  12. amazing, and its just struck me as strange that lego don't seem to produce those huge, multi-set vistas anymore in their catalogues... such a pity as you can lose track of time getting lost in them...
  13. count me in please, sounds fun!
  14. I know what you mean. I 'm hoping for the Ultra Drill Walker and Hypersonic Operations Aircraft for Christmas. I can't wait to build and display them with the rest of my Mars Mission sets.
  15. thank you, yes that's it. i can only access the net via my ps3 at the mo and although surprisingly good, it does have its admin limits. magical mix of music and classic era, captures quite possibly why alot of us (afols at least) are here. so, so good
  16. Hi all, just put LEGO SPACE into Youtube, check out the display at the spring toy & doll show , great vid
  17. hi everyone, fascinating thread. ok, i'm torn between expanding my LSW collection, or MM with the hypersonic ops aircraft OR diversifying into castle pending the stunning market scene etc any advice would really b appreciated friends. such a great hobby
  18. I guess I see alot of inspiration from the legendary 6980 Galaxy Commander that I missed out on back along. UDW is safely stowed away for the ultimately enchanted time ahead... and I just feel a strange, instinctive draw to HOA aswel to try and re-kindle to the upmost extent yesteryear's space adventures...
  19. thanks everyone for the useful comments and links.
  20. hi everyone, if you can give any feedback re this set - lookin to possibly get it shortly? many thanks for any tips
  21. Thank you for the welcomes, tips and links all!
  22. ...and I'm a huge SW and MM fan along with classic space and castle. I'm in Somerset, England and am wondering if there are any other fans nearby!! Enjoy Lego!
  23. Great review, I'm a huge SW and MM fan and have recently got the new RGS. my dilema now is is this worth getting too to go with my crystal reaper and UD Walker? it does look pretty similar but has anyone got both to be able to fairly compare? thanks for any help
  24. I tried to find this in TRU but they've not got any of the new Mars Mission sets so I ordered it from LS@H and it came in just 3 days. It looks spectacular ...
