    "Keep up the pace guys, we're doing fantastic! Amorith, keep your aim on those dock workers! Dreyrugr, switch your targets to the Advance Guards! Drake, help Dreyrugr with the Advanced Guards! I'll keep the tin can occupied!" Fleur was not getting away. Not now, not ever. She'd been dragged about this stupid city to let her get away when her crew was this close. The weather whipped her ponytail about violently, as she continued to avoid the heavily armored Dock Guard. Karie strikes the Dock Guard from the back row.     Karie knew the party had one shot at this. Everything that happened today accumulated to this. "Amorith, stick to the dock workers, we need as many of them incapacitated now! Drake and Nessa, stick yor sights on the two Advanced Guards. Dreyrugr, focus on the Aquamancer. Everyone stay back! Fleur's obviously made it clear she intends to get out of this with her goods. Lets prove her wrong!" Karie jabs at the Harbour Guard from the back row twice. Battle order to come.

I expect you to take me as a fool, an idiot, but what you don't realize is that you ruined your entire plan when your ex- boyfriend, Dice gave me a key piece of information: you knew who we were in the alley back at the bank! The only way you could have known this is if you had met us earlier! You married Dil years ago under the alias of Ave, and sparked an interest in the cloth market in him. You used the takeover to your advantage, and intended to backstab Dil and take off with the cloth, and sell it. When you returned to Marty, you knew he was dead because you knew what our goal was: to stop the rumour. You knew this be because you met us back in the inn when we first arrived here. Come on Fleur, call me on my bluff! You know I'm right!" Despite the harsh conditions, Karie had a large grin on her face, rapier in hand.

    I actually like the idea, but extend it to trophies. That Blue Rose from 48 could easily make a trophy, and so could many other items. Troll hides, dragon head mounts and what not. There's my two cents.

    Karie downs both a mead and a potion (a rather nasty tasting concoction by most people's standards, including her own), as well as apply venom on Sexy.

    I'm curious, what was this massacre that's recently been brought up? Sorry if the answer's staring me in the face.

    Was it ever stated how they lost their fortune? We could easily make it so that they lost it through various ventures, if need be. In that case, they could easily fit in as background characters in my up coming arc.

    Karie was more than intrigued about the curious case that was Nessa. Especially with the recent turn of events. Her voice was very motherly, so much so it was rather scary to even think about it and the family she left behind. She loitered around the entrance of the alley, leaning on the wet, stone wall, waiting for the party to move along. Chasing a murderer all her life, it must have caused some degree of insanity in Nessa. Or maybe it just showed her determination was far more powerful than she took credit for. "So, shall we go and at least hinder our dear friends plot to sell a boat load of cloth and get rich quick?"

    My soul is prepared. If anything needs indexed, I'd say it's the character index. I'd be more than happy to write summaries for all the important NPCs from quest #61.

    It suddenly dawned on her the extent of the Hinckwell's takeover. They had been played like fools the entire time, all so Dill could keep his hands clean. It seemed as if to her there was no honour among thieves these days. "Che, if there's one thing I want you to do, it's to run. Get out of Brendenton until the riots subside. Trust me, this city's going to hell fast. I hope you find fortune somewhere else Chi." She waved him farewell then glared at Drake, moving closer to him as she spoke. "I'll badger you later, and trust me when I say that. You betrayed me, even after I was the only one in support of reviving you. That's cold Drake, real cold." She gave Drake one last dirty look, then turned around and ran to the docks, expecting her party to follow.

    Karie put her foot out in front of Drake's "wheelbarrow", stopping it in it's tracks. "First off, me and you need to chat. Two, we still need to interegate Che-Qi! So hold still!" She shook her head and walked towards Che-Qi. "Mr. Qi, I don't mean to intrude, but why were those men attacking you, and what were you doing out here in the storm?"     The arrow missed hitting her body, but sliced her arm as it flew past her. Is it my own incompetence? Am I just not cut out for this style of work? She could remember back to her pick pocketing days. If trouble arose, she ran. She ran quickly. She didn't look back. Why was the past holding her down? Karie strikes at Brigand B from the back row.     Don't worry, there will be a boat load of Paper Mario, the Thousand Year Door references throughout the arc, especially in this one. I also stuffed a reference or two to Harry Potter, as well as a rather nifty Sonic the Hedgehog shout out. Can't wait!
