"Three women happened, mages by the looks of things. They somehow managed to get in and went straight for the prison cells straight down this hall. My assigned group went to patch up the grated entrance that connects to the sewer, and I was left to spot for them, in case any intruders were to show up. Of course, one of the women stabbed me with a poisoned knife and I collapsed. If it weren't for you, I'd be dead." The guard looks Sorrow over before responding. He seemed slightly less thrilled to notice an undead as one of his saviors. "If I was kidnapped do you think I'd not try to escape? I joined because I wanted to. As for mind altering chemicals, if I did, I'm not sure I would tell you. You may have saved my life, but my loyalty lies with the Order. I do believe there are rules one follows when it comes to wounded soldiers, no matter which side?"- 418 replies

OOC: GAH! WTF!!! And he's immune to hexing, gah! Still, Special Mirror comes into play, his health should be halved. Karie feels her control of herself fade away as she begins to black out. She wanted to curse and swear and say something, anything, but doesn't get a word out before silence. Cold, lonely silence. She was here again. She was a thrall again. "Yes, master..." "Lab rat". A soft spot light hits center stage, barely illuminating the dark, yet familiar space. "Welcome back, Karie, long time, no see."

Battle Order Althoir Karie Johon Johon Undead Scorpion Undead Scorpion "Very well, Althoir, I had the same idea in mind. It just seems you blurted it out first." She didn't want to attack the giant tentacle thing knowing what he was capable of. She silently hoped that some go was looking upon her and was potentially aiding her in some divine way. Karie attacks the Hentai Monster Oculoid Chief from the back row.

Why do I feel this all some kind of conspiracy to hex Karie in every quest she's in? Half the quests she been in so far have had her hexed? Perplexing how rotten my luck is...
-
The Oculoids have always been planned to be manipulators since 48, and I do try not to pick a hero for back-to-back quests... Trust me, I headdesked as soon as I saw the roll too. This is supposed to be an easy battle!

-
No hard feelings. I assure you, the only thing this cements is how awful my luck is when it comes to the roll of a die.

Heroica RPG- Quest #78: As Thick As Thieves

QM Note: Has anyone seen LOTN? I'm giving control of him to emjajoas. As well, I'm going to move this along for the sake of moving it along. The party decides to turn left, moving along at a brisk pace. As unsettling how quiet the prison has become, they move through the corridor, cautiously watching ahead and behind them. After only a few minutes, they catch eye of a slumped figure in the hall, blood trickling down his uniform and onto the cold ground. "He-help..." The soldier breaths heavily, and is clearly in a lot of pain.- 418 replies

Karie decided not to respond immediately, too shook up to say anything. She nervously downs a nostrum. "I'm ready you two. Johon, hold it together. We need to worry about ourselves first, then we can worry about the state of these four. If worse comes to worse... I'm sorry Johon. These things need to be dealt with before anyone else suffers. Buff up now on a Nostrum, Mead, and Smelling Salt, Johon, so we don't need to worry about it during the fight." She avoided eye contact with the alchemist ringleader.

Pixar Animation Studios and Films Discussion
Kintobor replied to just2good's topic in Culture & Multimedia
(Puts on flame retardant cloths) I honestly don't care, because I don't like Finding Nemo. Now, to be granted, I understand why people like Finding Nemo, I just don't like the movie, and I don't know why. I just don't like it for some strange reason. I don't think Dory's all that funny, I don't care for a majority of the characters, I just can't get into the story. It's the same way with Wall-E. I understand why people like Wall-E, I just felt it's message was very forced, and it takes too long to get into the movie. By the time we get to the space colony, the movies halfway done. Anyone else have a Pixar film they just can't get behind?- 279 replies

"Well, that was sudden." Karie draws Sexy as she readies herself. "Will you two stop it! There never was an alchemist or a nord in this village, was there? Only four demons disguising themselves. Clever, very clever. Tell me, how do you pull it off? Is it spontaneous? Can you do disguise yourselves as anyone? Perhaps myself?" Despite loathing these freaks, Karie couldn't help but be somewhat fascinated by them.

I haven't seen Vampire Hunter, but it's still a fun movie! I actually watched it remembering that Brad really liked it. Definitely worth seeing!

I actually didn't mind it. I went in expecting nothing, and came out feeling it was decent enough to give a passing grade. Of course, it all opinion based, so what I thought was good and what you thought was terrible are two completely different things. I will admit, the ending was a little forced, but that's about it. Animation was good, but I'm not sure if it was theatrical release quality. In my book it gets a solid 6.5-7/10. It was entertaining, and at the end of the day, that's why I go to see a movie: to be entertained, and the film did just that. And end credits Derpy. -
If we're talking for the first time, Abraham Lincoln VS. Zombies. It was goofy, over the top, and I loved every minute of it! It's in no way historically accurate, but I still thought it was a lot of fun! "Emancipate this!" A solid, goofy action movie. The latest movie I've actually sat down and watched was Ghostbusters, but we already know how awesome that movie is, so I won't say anything else other than if you haven't seen it, why are you reading this, go watch it!

Sonic X wasn't my cup of tea, because of the heavy human interactions! SatAM to me just feels the most developed and complete, and yes, despite the comic being released before the show, it is based on the concepts the show started. That cliffhanger still ticks me off! I find it ironic when a show picks up after it was canceled, like SWAT Kats and Invader Zim. Thanks! It was the first thing that popped into my head for a username without numbers on the end, and it seems to have worked out rather well! On the topic of ponies, anyone else here see Equestria Girls? Thoughts? -

Yeah, I'm excited! I'm currently sitting through Ouran High School Host Club. What an absurd show! I'm really loving it! Anyone else here enjoy Sonic Satam? -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Discussion
Kintobor replied to BlueberryWaffles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The season finale was good. Not great, but good. The stuff with the turtles was fun, but I didn't like how the episodes portrayed April as a damsel. We've seen that April can somewhat fend for herself, so for her to act in such a manner felt really awkward. That and the despite knowing a bit about what April is, I still think it wasn't clearly defined. So she's special in the terms of something and the Kraang want the power in her. Cool. How did she get this power? However, the part of the episodes I adore is the stuff with Splinter and Shredder. Dear god, best fight in the series yet. Probably tied with the curb stomp of a battle with Karai and April. The lighting, the atmosphere, just how downright dark that scene got when Karai came in. That fight made up for the complaints I have about the rest of the finale. So, yeah. I really like the finale. -
Violetta, yes. Donny, no.

Ulric to me comes off as if he has an idea of what he wants to do, but doesn't know how he's going to do it. He's resorted to crime and what not to fuel his organization because it's the only thing he believes he can do to achieve his goals. The one glimpse we've seen of him shows us that he does want to assist the poor, but that wasn't seen by any of the characters.

Karie swings Sexy about before returning the comment to the Oculoid. It was still startling in appearance, but she'd been through worse. She just had to hold everything back... "I suppose it was a mixture of the two." But she couldn't. Karie violently rushes forward and repeatedly skewers the Oculoid with Sexy.
-
"Are we done with this thing, or can I stab it repeatedly? I really feel like having calamari tonight." Karie patience was through with the Oculoid. She would rather see this thing on a skewer over a fire than roaming about the woods.

"First you insult me, then you ask me to leave the forest? Why should I take your advice? As far as I know, your lot could've set up an ambush. Give me one good reason to believe you."

Welcome to Heroica, Purpearljellyblob! The problem can be fixed easily, someone needs to host a quest where the Wolfgang are shown in a favourable light. The quest doesn't have to revolve around the Wolfgang, but it needs to show what the city would benefit from if the Wolfgang became an influential power. Perhaps what the trio said is the truth, and none of the heroes have seen it yet.

Karie holds herself back from running Sexy through the Oculoid, but finds it harder than she anticipated. "So pray tell," she says through clenched teeth, "mind telling us how you're so capable of peering into others private affairs?"
-
Goosebumps crawl over Karie's body as the tentacle thing makes eye contact. She clenches her rapier at the Oculoid's comment. "Why are you here? Answer me or I'll personally run you through."

Loot Distribution Johon- Remedy, Grand Tonic, 30 Gold Karie- Remedy, Grand Potion, 40 Gold Althior- Remedy, Deadly Poison, 30 Gold As she attempts to heal herself with her new abilites, she rolls her eyes listening to Althior. "Althior, pick your weapon up. This thing just called us insolent pests, and you think it wants to be friends? Fine, be my guest, but I'm staying as far back as possible for when this thing rips open your chest and makes you its play thing."
