Quick question, shouldn't Storm Beast be called Blizzard Beast? Seeing as he's an ice elemental and that name fits much better with the ice theme?

Which Bionicle colours sold the best and why?
Bigger Fish replied to Fulcrumfan91's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I wonder how well the blue ones sell, those have always been my favorite. -
Like I've said many times before. LEGO, please release an art book for the BIONICLE reboot!

You know, I really want a character in a future line to be purple with yellow accents, kind of like a reverse Evo 2.0. That would be pretty cool and give us a lot of purple shells.

Tips for using the shadow trap parts.
Bigger Fish replied to Bigger Fish's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Ok, thanks. I'll check it out. -
So I'm trying to build a Venus Flytrap type character in the style of the 2016 creatures using the shadow trap as a maw, but I really don't know how to connect it to the body using any of the the possible connections points excluding the main hinge joints. So, does anybody have any solutions to this predicament?

If they color theme for 2015 was blue, and 2016 is green, then what do you think the color for 2017 will be? I'm guessing either purple or red.

Hey, can anyone here read Japanese? I'm curious as to whom the Japanese voice cast for JtO is.
-
I honestly really enjoyed the series so far. I liked that the prologue used the 2015 webisodes to explain last year's storyline, that was a nice touch. I liked the art and animation even though there were times that I could tell that they were working on tight budget. The voice acting was pretty good despite the occasional awkward delivery. Though Gali sounded a bit too "valley girl" to me but was otherwise pretty good. The humor pleasantly surprised me a lot considering the rather painful attempts at jokes in previous LEGO works, I liked that it was mostly dialogue based and dry with the occasional slapstick thrown in for good measure. It moved along at a very nice clip and Umarak was a pretty neat villain. I also got a very Transformers-ish vibe from it, especially from Makuta's (Megatron) and Umarak's (Starscream) voices. I also liked a lot of the little details like the Toa's crystals activating and powering up plus the Shadow Trap's antics. All in all, probably LEGO's best TV series yet and I look forward to it's conclusion this summer.

I just had a pretty neat idea for a possible continuation of the story past 2017. What if they reveal that the all the inhabitants of Okoto and the Toa were built by a group alien scientists but were dumped there after they developed sentience. And then the scientists, upon realizing the mistake they made by dumping them after they developed sentience, build a group of robotic repo-men and send them to the planet to round up the inhabitants and bring back to their creators for more research. And the repo-team's identity? None other than remade versions of the Slizers, of course. So pretty much, Bionicle vs. Slizers. Tell me what you think!

They also make a whole lot of mediocre and bad cartoons. (Johnny Test, anybody?)

BZPower just posted a ToyFair video showing off some of the functions of the summer sets. Again, Storm Beast's function looks to be the most fun to goof around with. http://www.bzpower.com/story.php?ID=8407

Oh, dear....

So apparently, JtO is a predominantly French production. I'm okay with that considering the surprisingly high quality of a lot of French children's cartoons.

I was just listening to that version when I posted that idea.

I really hope that the series ends with Ekimu and the Toa fighting against Umarak the Destroyer while Take On Me plays in the background. That would be beautifully 80's-tastic.

Bionicle site updated itself with some story info and Journey to One screenshots. Melum's adorable. http://www.lego.com/en-us/bionicle/explore/ekimus-mission/chapter1

Ok, good. I was worried there for a sec. Also, this should be the theme song: And this should be the credits theme:
-
Is that actually dialogue in the episode? Or is it a reference to something?

One thing that baffles me is why Onua has clear crystal add ons instead of purple ones. Even JTO shows him having purple crystals. Also, I'm kind of disappointed he didn't get a crystal blade, that would look neat in purple.

You know what? Uxar actually looks pretty good with the lime green blades, Ketar with the dark green blades, not so much.

Okay, time for my thought on these sets. I like them, they most certainly aren't perfect, but they do have a unique look, a good variety of parts, and excellent color schemes. I also actually like the beasts' messy aesthetic because it helps sell us on the fact these things are horrific monsters. Lava is the strongest looking out of all them, but has the blandest color scheme. Storm has the best color scheme and his function looks like fun to play around with as well. Ekimu is the strongest set in the wave even though he's the most generic looking. All in all, an interestingly experimental wave with some fun things to goof around with.
