  6. i've done that, but some how it did not look the way that i wanted it to look like. thanks for the compliment about the stern. i'm still a few brick's short for the tumblehome and perhaps a few flag's for the gunports. claus
  7. After some time to rebuild it for the 4th time, i've got some bl orders and started building again. credit for the checkers are for CGH and mr. Bonaparte. its a great techniqe to break the big blue side's wich alway's have been a problem. advice and idea's are welcome. claus this is the last update for a wile, my wife has given birth to a lovley baby girl, for now i dont have the time to finish this project, perheps in time i can make some ajustments and continu building
  8. taking it apart for the 4th time wasn't as hard as doing it for the first time. i've have a lot of dutch build ship's to work from and the stern is alot higher than on english or french ship's. and i have tried to give it a dutch look with high stern. perhap you know any dutch 3 deck ship's? please let me know. but i am still awaiting some bricklink order's to start the build of the V4 this is still testing out different techniqe's claus
  9. your ship's are really looking good. keep up the good work claus
  10. as you can see by the flag its a bluecoat ship or french. i an working on something very nice to make between the decks, it would also break the big blue side. but there for i am still awaiting a bricklink order or 2 before i can realy start building. its just a test to see how the side wil come out "Her Majesty" is ruler of the falconian empire (my bluecoats are the imperial version of my black falcon's remeber my military post )
  11. your ship looks good, very much a small pirate or privateer vessel. it just your sail's are very very big. when you ad 2 more midsections it would look much better and more in proportion. but that is just my humble opinion. claus
  12. as you can read in the text above the pictures this white section wil be brown, read the text before placing coment and advice the colors are compareble to the carribean clipper wich is ofcourse the the offical lego ship of the bluecoats. thank you, claus

  17. the figurehead has a story of its own. i've always been in to castle building and i wanted a change 3 years ago. so i've decided to build a schip. after i took it apart for the second time en started building again my little brother said: "like a phoenix its will rise from is ashes" i liked the name and suddenly there was a phoenix in a harry potter set........... a name and figurehead was born. i've decided to make it look more realistic or at least give it a try. and the stained glass wil return in the castle where it looked a lot beter. claus
  18. that realy looks great. i must make my phoenix a 3 deck so that us bluecoats can put up a fight. where did you learned that techniqe. or did you leared it to your selve? keep up the good work claus
