  1. I have 8 of them brand new for sale 20$ for the 8, shipped from canada
  2. with 2 battery box (12 AA battery) the running time is acceptable
  3. It's maybe not big "performance" but for a Lego truck, it's running good.
  4. not yet, I don't have a lot of spare time for now but maybe next wheek (I got to practice and make a good trial course)
  5. did your cat have access to this room... My cat love to eat Lego I'm very impressed by all of the pics on this topic... for myself, I can do just 1 MOC at a time ( not enough parts for more )
  6. Lego rock crawler 4x4 truck 4 wheels steer I just have 2 L motors or 2 servos by receiver... I think you need V2 just if you plug more than 2 motor in each receiver like 9398 (2L + 1 servo) by the way, this Lego crawler is very fun to drive and is powerfull, if it can be better with V2, I will buy some V2
  7. I finally had the time to finish my crawler, here some pics, video still to come. This MOC drive and steer very well.
  8. I didn't have the chance to get a 8421 so I'm happy that Lego release a new crane because they will probably will be less expensive than the rare used 8421 sets
  9. I don't like the color scheme myself but when I built it , the brick you see where my only bricks...(from the 8043 and Ebay grey buckle)
  10. This is an old Moc... 80% of the http://www.designer-han.nl/lego/ dump truck
  11. I know that an RC crawler gives more performance for less money than a Lego one but my hobby is to build something and not to drive it. What I love to do with Lego is to build something, test drive it and then imagine what I can do to upgrade it. And finally destroy it and do something else. Lego is about creativity and RC is about driving and performance, it's 2 different hobbies. (just my opinion)
  12. One else thing to say, when I received the Lego oem tires for 9398 from bricklink, the tires slip around the rims so the questioning stopped right there. I'm sorry for the purist but I have 12 AA batteries in 2 battery box in my crawler, (4 L motor and 2 servo) If I can get an RC rechargeable power supply, I will
  13. they suck but they look very good I got around 40 Lego tires, some of them look realistic but I don't like the balloon ones (sorry for all the Lego balloon tires lovers). Anyways, Tanks to post comments on my topic. By the way, just for fun, are you against the chrome plated parts?
  14. some progresse on the body, I dont know if the front "mudgard" will stay like that...
  15. thanks for the link, I get inspired by http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5152370 to do my crawler...
  16. up to now, this is the max axle twist when lifting a wheel... the lower spring can compress again but I got to apply force on it (extra hard spring) and I think no obstacle will make it compress more. I will try another design but it's good enough for me.
  17. In this pic, you can see the Horizontal spring at full extension. when the truck lay on his weight, this spring are 1/4 of the travel, so when one wheel climb on something, the other wheel droop and can this way stay on the ground. In The other pic, we can see the spring around half the travel and is locked there, I Tried it at full travel and the truck was unstable and the suspension too soft. (Maybe I will try another design)
  18. So, if that thing don't flex enough, I quit Lego building... The axles are made from the efferman instruction, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=510957 it's got an L motor for each wheel, 4 wheels steer and 2 battery box...
  19. your cat doesn't seem to like it
  20. Efferman, I did your axle and I had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for the very easy to follow instruction. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=510957 I made some modification on it (hope you will forgive me)
  21. My next moc whill be inspired by that one
  22. I know Han did something like that but it can be cool to see Lego doing it
  23. the truck and the trailer can be in two separate models to make it affordable. A lot of wheels and a lot of steer axles
