  1. Thanks for the tips, I have modified my moc and will try your tip on taking the pics for my next MOC (when I am not rushed to finish a deadline) I decided to go with a standard Capt to match the picture on the wall...Although I agree that it was to boring, so I used Qui Gons hair piece for him instead. Thanks Again! I added some book cases and a jealous pirate. Thanks for the tips!
  2. Thanks for your comments, I will look at adding some color to the cabin on my new ship that I am finishing....it is all brown now Thanks!
  3. Thanks for your comments, I agree I could use some more stuff on the walls, I just ran out of time.....I am working on the interior of a cabin for my new ship and will try to add some more stuff to the walls though Thanks
  4. Great MOC! It looks so real!. I like the use of the half barrels put together
  5. I really like the large Kegs, Awsome
  6. Great MOC, Love the cabinets on the wall, great detail and very funny
  7. Vig. 69a Here is my entry for the Captain's Cabin Contest. This MOC is all about the spoils of Victory, Plenty of Food, Drink, Women and Treasure. I did not have time to come up any detailed furniture etc... (and after seeing the other entries I could not have come close to the detail that oo7, I Scream Clone and others have done- Amazing Detail!) But this did give me an excuse to use the treasure I have been collecting over the past few years and have a little fun with this MOC. The thing I like the most is the Picture of the Capt. I used the sticker from his wanted poster from the "Soldier's Fort" set. EDIT: Thanks for all you tips, Here is my MOC with some modifications I added a line of dark blue to the room, some torches and more Pearl Gold Pieces to tone down the brown color. (thanks to everyone for the input) I also added a "Captured Admiral" and have him hanging up in the background (I did this with Han Solo in Jaba's Palace in mind). I added a few bookcases and decided that one of the slaves should be "faning" (spelling?) our good Captain. I also took someone's suggestion of adding another pirate looking in. I also found a few more gold coins and added some gold chests. When I get some time I will count how many Coins there are in the MOC. Thanks
  8. Wow! great detail, the wine rack and all the above mention stuff. I also really like the gold jumper tile used as a drawer...very good!
  9. I have about 100 Cannon Battle Sets...I got the rest of the pearl gold jumpers and round plates off of bricklink...I really like the telescope piece and I also like it in the dark brown color from the village market place and might try to aquire a bunch of those down the road to use on a railing on another ship....once I can afford it
  10. Thanks for the advice! ....I will make the changes ASAP Thanks Again
  11. I originally started building this ship as an expanded "Brick Beards Bounty". Then I started to change the colors and added a few more hull sections until I had a ship that only the sails remained the same. In the end I wound up replacing the skull and crossbones sails with the regular sails from the same sets. Now I have an Imperial Armada ship. This is still a work in progress, I do not like the cabin and will re-build it soon. The thing I like the best is the deck and railings. I really like the Pearl Gold Telescope's as supports for the railing and the 1x2 tile jumper fits in really well to support them. I liked how BBB had the dark tan line of brick going down the side of the ship....So to match my color scheme I used some 1x2 pearl gold tile jumpers and 1x1 pearl gold round plates to make the look. I think it looks a little Vikingish (if that's a word) and I would like to replace it with 1x2 pearl gold tiles eventually (not even sure if there is such a piece yet). The deck over the cannons rests on tiles and is removable (the middle sail has to be taken off first) and I would like to add some detail to that part of the ship as well. I am sure that I will tear this ship apart and rebuild it several times...So suggestions are appreciated.
  12. When the line was first available on S@H there was no limit and I bought 30 Impulse sets (free shipping too). I hope they stop the limit of 5 at a time soon
  13. It was about $700 US for the cannon battles and Impulse Sets and probably another $50 for backpacks from Brick link....Plus the other pirate sets that I pulled a few more soldiers from. now I have over 100 Cannons to use with my army when it is finished I will eventually sell many of the pirates (from the cannon battle) on e-bay to try to get a little money back
  14. I have been building this army for the past few months. It took 100 "Cannon Battle" sets, 30 "Soldiers Arsenal" sets and some other sets soldiers as well. I am hoping to get it up to 200 Soldiers soon. I also have another few hundred of the old soldiers that I am getting ready to combine with this army.
  15. I would love to see this!
  16. Not available in the USA...I guess thats what we get for getting the Pirates Line first.....

  23. I know I have read in the past that brick arms might make some weapons for the pirate theme.... now that the theme is returning (and it looks like they kept the same weapons) I am curious if anyone knows if Brick Arms is going to produce some Pirate weapons. I would like to see a rifle with a bayonet for my Soldiers. Does anyone have any other suggestions for weapons they would like to see? Can't wait for 2009
  24. Wow thats great...I love all the cannons
