I really like the technique with the sloped walls. I also think the use of the wedge shaped brick for where the cannons go is brilliant, it looks very realistic and I like the lines it creates. Great Work!
-
Looks Great. Like the colors and the rigging. Well Done!
-
I will, Thanks
-
I like how you have gone over the borders of the hull pieces and expanded the width of the boat
-
Thanks! That helps... I wonder if a Moderator could update it for me and just add an "updated April 20th" to it Thanks Again
-
I can not for the life of me figure out how to edit the description of the Post..where do you go to do that...it is probably staring me in the face Thanks
-
Congrats! Amazing work!!! Can't wait for the next contest
-
Thanks, I actually just ordered some parts to make a lantern for my fort...I will add one to the ship Also how do I edit my post? (update/change the topic) Thanks
-
I have not finished it yet...Here are some pics of the ship in progress When it is done there will be 3 sails instead of 2. I think it would look better with blue/white or black/white sails. I hope to have it done soon, I will also post some pics of a soldiers fort that I am working on in a few weeks (it is on 5 48x48 plates) and will probably take me another 6 months to finish
-
It looks good to me, I would like to see how it would look with the newer cannon.
-
Well Said, I would also mention that a 48x48 base plate would be great...I have taken a few of those in grey and added blue 2x2 tiles to make water...a 48x48 in blue would be perfect
-
That would look cool. Lets hope they make it in black down the road
-
Almost Finished, I just have to re-build the sails...I am happy with the cabin (lots of dark blue and gold now)...I hope to get a chance to finish it this weekend and get some new pics up nexxt week. Should I post a new topic or update this one? All good tips, I may use some of them the next time i strip her down and rebuild...I do like the idea of going up and adding a second row of cannons Thanks!
-
You will get Full Credit, they really do look great! I wonder if there is a black back pack...that would also look good on the soldiers
-
Wow! Great Job, love the whole minifig, especially the arm and shako...AMAZING!
-
I really like the what you did here. If you don't mind I might use your minifig in my fort that I am building. I would suggest using a different color hand...Either red or black would look good Great Job!
-
That's Awesome! You and your dad must be having a great time I have been doing the same thing acting like a kid with an adults budget. I have even gotten my wife into it a little now.

What do you want to see in the next round of the new line?
Dr. Steve replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well Said.... I would also like to see lego release some older sets...just updated. You could have Fort Elderado with a new color scheme...Keep the white, replace the yellow with tan or dark tan and add a little dark blue and of course some Blue Imperials. This would be a great way to put out an old set and make it blend with the newer sets. -

I Agree, Very well said. In my opinion here are some pros and cons of the new set Pros: - Great new colors that blend with the older sets - The cannons (the color is great) and they shoot just like the original ones I had as a child) - New parts (telescope, fish, ect.) - New Shakos (I was tired of paying $4 each) - New 2 sided Torso's (now we just need some blue coats) - More Female Minifigs in the line - The soldier impulse set is great for army building - The "Extras" (its nice getting extra epaulettes etc..) Cons: - The <insert that tiresome argument> skull and cross bones (I just got more of the other sails on bricklink) - The piece count could be higher (I think that is a common complaint with newer sets in general) - No Anchor on the ship and no whole in the hull for an anchor - The Imperial fort is too small (although it does have room for expansion) - Stickers instead of painted brick for the Fort All and all I am happy with the new sets. Could they be better??? Of course they could.....Could they be worse??? We could have Pirates VS. Skeletons......Yeah that would have sucked

Thats good to know, I got if off Bl as well and had no idea of its origin Thanks
-
I counted the loot up 287 Gold Coins 95 Gems 33 Gold Bricks (1x2 tiles) 2 gold islander decorations? 1 silver key
-
Amazing Detail! I really like how complete it is. You have done a great job making this look and feel like a real working port. The pirates checking out the girl in the bikini is hilarious, as well as the monkey...Very funny
-
I like the use of the pearl gold glass as the head board on the bed
-
Funny you should say that...I intended on adding one...perhaps messing around with the admiral...however he blended in with the back round too much and There was nothing for him to hang on too. If I go back and tweek this for fun I will try to change the wall a bit so I can do this. Thanks
