Great MOC! I can't tell if it's a render or photography! I love your attention to detail! What's the interior like?
-
Yeah, that may be true, those wedge parts will still give the gabs you wanted to avoid. I really like your current solution, I wouldn't have thought of using those old 80 space seats to connect the plates. Probalbly because I don't own any of those Hmm, yeah, droid arms are indeed not so strong. I'll see if it holds, else I migth try some technic.

Thanks again for your kind words! And I believe they will

Yes, it was for that contest, indeed! And you know what, I even won one of the Kris'ma Skarell figures! I just joined the contest for fun, didn't absolutely need a christmas pilot, but hey, when I hear the word "exclusive" I'm most of the times convinced! Also, it makes a nice addition to all the advent calendar christmas-themed minifigs! Yeah, they should have stuch the ground crew in there! I had just bought 6 of the ground crew when prelims surfaced, and was afraid that it would be ground crews that I had just bought for expensive... Looking back, I wish it were ground crew!

Nice mods! I like what you have done with the ship! You mention that the big 8x6x2 wedges at the back are not available on bricklink in white, if you still want to try this mod you can buy two halves of this part: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=10854#T=P&C=1 These are in white in plenty of sets, and thus cheap enough on bricklink. I have yet to get this ship, hope I find such a good deal as you did... 43 pounds on amazon... that's almost pocket money for this set! How do you find this good deals?! When I'll get mine I'll definitely do your landing gear MOD. It improves the ship a lot!

Thanks! Thank you! Haha, well spotted! I originally build the MOC for a contest from Firestar showcasing their beautiful printed parts (helmets and arms), but sadly had just one pair of arms, and had to improvise Good idea to mix some of the heads! I have extra's of all of those you mentioned, so should be an easy update. I don't know what was up with the limited release of the A-wing, although I believe it was a Toys R Us exclusive. Only managed to get two myself from germany (with just a small discount), that discount you mention from amazon.co.uk seems amazing, wish I would have known! Would have bought all of them Thanks! Sadly there's no Dressellians in lego form yet, I would really Like lego to release them soon! PRUNE FACE! PRUNE FACE!

Ew, some horrific stories... guess I would need to wash my used lego better! And maybe also the used lego that I bought a while ago when I didn't wash used lego yet...

Thanks! Yes... there's an awful lot of characters in this scene. One day I want to make a more accurate and bigger briefing room, also with all the minfigs included. I should have enough of most, but I count a whopping 18 Rebel Ground Crew in the scene... They are very hard to obtain, as they appear only in one limited released set (75175 A-wing) and command a lot on the aftermarket. I have "only" 12 of those figs now.

Sorry to revive an old topic - but food or poop on them, I hope you're joking! Did you ever get parts in such worse condition? I mostly wash used parts if I get them. after that I'm happy with them and they go in my bins with other parts. Does everyone wash parts when you get used sets in? I've ever only gotten twice or so clone brands in a bricklink order, but that was unintentional from the seller, and got refunded for those.

Thanks! If you need extra pictures, just let me know soon! It's still assembled Thanks! Haha - yeah the open mouth is supposed to represent his astonishment when he "learned that the Emperor himself is personally overseeing the final stages of the construction of this Death Star" Thanks!

Thanks for the review! I always like to see what you build per bag, it's nice that you've included that in your pictures. This review reminds me, I've yet to build this set! I mostly bought the set for the minifigs, not sure yet if I will display the set (i already have an OT MF) or break it apart again so I can use the pieces for other builds. What are you guys doing?

"Many Bothans died to bring us this information" Hello there, I proudly present to you my MOC "Home One Briefing room" It has been on Flickr for a bit now, but hadn't gotten around yet posting it here. Hope you enjoy! Home One Briefing Room by TWP., on Flickr Quite satisfied how this one turned out. Was a fun little MOC to do, some of the angles really gave me a headache, but it worked out in the end. In real life the gaps are less then they make it seem in the picture actually! I'm not really happy how the table turned out, but I consider this a nice practice MOC anyways for when I'll build a bigger Home One room Some detailed shots: Home One Briefing Room by TWP., on Flickr Home One Briefing Room by TWP., on Flickr Without figs: Home One Briefing Room by TWP., on Flickr A bit more pics on my Flickr. Hope you enjoyed! Be sure to comment if you like it!

Risk of Lego picking up smell from a new plastic container?
TWP replied to danielwerner's topic in General LEGO Discussion
that's good to know, thanks. I'm also worried about this, my drawers have a weird plastic smell as well. If anyone else has experiences I'd like to hear so! They say the smell of smoke never gets washed out of your bricks, was wondering if it can be so for other sources of smell. -
I don't know if this part change is for the better, but I do like that I now have two variations of the part to choose from in my MOCs, because the groove can be nice for really small detailing. I already have loads of the old mold, so I suspect it won't bother me that much. What you could not do with most other pieces with this groove is stack them for a pattern (because all of them are tiles and thus have no studs on them) I wonder if they will change the 2x2 version (2x2 tile with 2 studs) as well to have the groove Now I have to decide... will I sort the two versions of this plate separately or put them in the same drawer? (I also sort my jumpers with and without groove separate)

I can imagine... none of mine have fallen yet, though one has almost. I do stack them 2 high, too afraid to stack them higher haha

Ah cool, thanks! Not exactly hexagonal, but should work nicely enough! I don't know if you have seen, but that image is not completely canon anymore, I will see if I can find the updated image - you'll be amazed And the white ones? -
Those are great indeed! I use them myself as well for sorting - I have about 28 now I also started with 6, then I bought 10 more and I quickly realized even that would not be enough. They're really great. I love that they exactly fit nx8 plates. Would have liked there were some drawers that you could split up in two rather than 3 though, but most work perfectly with 3 compartments

I'm just wondering, where would you use these pieces for? I honestly wouldn't know what these pieces will make easier -
Wow, that's a great price, nice! which battle packs?? be sure to make a picture of all those troops lined up!!
-
you're welcome. Could always just try to paint it of course, but no idea how that will turn out. Maybe if I see one one time I will experiment, could maybe cut a bit in the plastic to achieve a more accurate shape

Anyone know the current parts selection of the Lego Store in Frankfurt? Will be visiting there soon anyways, but would always be nice to see what I might be getting!

Interesting choice. I have that head, it does feel like star wars but not like quarren to me. I think this minifig from atlantis looks reasonably like a quarren, despite the color. too bad the "triangle" is upwards instead of downwards I do wish Lego will release a quarren in the soon future

Didn't win last year so thought I definitely would this year... I was wrong haha! Thanks anyways for the raffle CopMike and merry christmas everyone!

Got Vader's Castle, have it already built. I'd have to say it's one of the greatest sets lately!!
