I would call it a UPS (ultimate play set) instead of a UCS. To me this set looks like a collection of smaller sets released in the past years. So if you missed those, this may be a solution. 250 Euros is a lot of money for what you get. I like building MOC's, so I mainly look at the parts of a new set. For me, the parts (low amount, common colours and shapes) don't justify the price even when it is a licensed set.

Stunning! This brings back some good memories of my visit to the theatre and the Phantom of the Opera a couple of years ago. The amount of details is jaw-dropping.

Oh, great! I like Christmas trees, but I like the edible ones even more! This cookie is extremely crunchy and is decorated with icing and candy. Just the way I like it. Thank you CopMike for organizing the raffle! It's great fun to see everyones builds and to watch the advent calendar. -

The Red Dragon, 62 gun pirate ship of the line
Swan Dutchman replied to De Sandman's topic in Pirate MOCs
Fantastic ship! I especially like the way you made the masts, rigging and sails. From blue-print or reference pictures I at least found it difficult to make up the exact angles and shapes for the masts, sails and rigging and it's easy to make it look awkward on a lego ship. But you made it look perfect- 32 replies

Ninjago is a theme that doesn't interest me... but man... there's a whole lot new decorative parts in this set that makes me enthusiastic! -

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

The recommended Euro shop prices for this wave is pretty high... but licensed sets are always more expensive. Like legolandia I never pay the full price for any lego set. I know a couple of online shops in the Netherlands that sell lego much cheaper than the well-known toy shops. Look at these battle pack sets... they go for 15 euros in a normal toy shop, while the online shops sell the same set for 10 euros. For bigger sets I am talking about a price difference of 10 to 30 euros per set (the bigger the set the bigger the price difference). Last time I bought the whole elves themed wave online in the Netherlands and saved 70 euros compared to what it would have cost me in a toy shop. I also purchased the first wave of Hobbit sets earlier and saved about the same amount of money. You just have to buy new lego sets at the right time: just when the sets are released and competition between various online shops is biggest... that's when the prices will drop to the lowest possible. After that (the first 2 months or so) the shops are either sold out or are low in stock and thus prices will rise again to recommended shop prices. -
