1. I really like how organic everything is here. Lots of great details as well.
2. Lots of great improvement so far. Keep it up.
3. I liked the Islander sets, although a little to short lived for my taste.
4. Well done CopMike. I love the new minifigures. There seems like there are a lot of unorganized colors going around, but with all of the good parts it comes with I may need to pick one up!
5. Just bought the $10 set and I love how even it includes some many fantastic new parts as well as old ones in new colors.
6. Great new theme month. Great to have a new theme on EB.
7. The headwrap hands down for me. I like how versatile it can be with themes.
8. I can already garuntee you that every figure I have built so far (which is more than 3/4 of the figs that will be in the dio) are built all with different action faces. Some more mild than other, but all soldier and revolutionary like at that. Lots of progress today. Shot when I finish working on it for today.
9. Thanks. Here is a photo of day 3. Not a ton of progress, but I was busy uploading my new website to a new server.
10. Happy b-day! Have a happy pirate birthday. I would buy internet decorations, but I'm broke!
11. Definitely an idea. I could do some waterslide figures, but lately I've had bonding troubles. I thought the imperial redcoats did a nice job as stand ins for redcoats, but if they don't looks 'good enough' I could try them. Then the Revolutionaries didn't really have specific 'Uniforms' in the pictures I looked at. This was the essentially the start of the war. They were more of a militia than army. Also the figures you see aren't finalized. I've just been using them for the framing and scale of everything around them. I will also need them on getting the bridge right.
12. The North Bridge will definitely be made using brown bricks. I also want to have it getting destroyed a little. I'm thinking that will come last. I may need some inspiration. Here is day 2 of the project. More feedback welcome.
13. I was going for the edges of the banks with the North Bridge going across it. Yes. Since the battles get grouped together I have decided to group it together for the sake of this post. It will be the Battle of Concord though. I think it has some resemblance to Concord. It will have a little better resemblance with a little more work though I agree.
14. This is probably one of the largest irregular shaped dios I have ever attempted. It will as the title says be of the Lexington & Concord Revolutionary War Battle. I've got a general idea of what I want the rest to be, but of course I'm very open to suggestions along with critiques. Approx size. 46x68 For the Bayonets at Dawn Contest when it is finished. Thanks to the contest I feel a little more compelled to build pirates! Or at least historically based creations. It feels like I haven't tried anything like this before and I hope for it to be a challenge.
15. This looks like loads of fun! Questions later, but thanks to the EB staff for starting this.
16. Hey All, I come to you all today with a question. I have coded and designed my website and have a free hosting service at the moment, but I was really hoping to upgrade to a legitimate service with a custom domain. I was hoping someone would be able to suggest a good hosting system where I could buy a new domain name with reasonable space/bandwith along with a few other features. I was hoping to start a new website for a gallery of my own, but I wasn't quite sure with what system to use. I didn't know if anyone had possible suggestions for a hosting system. In addition to buying the hosting I was hoping to buy a domain name at the same time. I've heard of One and One, GoDaddy, and a few others, but I didn't know if anyone had a cheaper suggestion that was still reliable or had the same special features. I'm not looking for an insane amount of space, but a rather fair amount to host photos that would be great. Any help is more than appreciated. I was hoping to stay near $5 a month for the domain name and hosting, but I again don't know if that is possible. Thanks, Zack
17. Do you mark me down. I posted mine a while ago and I see names on the list post after me. Wondering if I was missed.
18. Very interesting topic! Thanks for bringing it up. First I photograph all of my creations with loads of photos. Some that don't even get seen by the online community. Usually this if for the creations that don't have a straight forward build and may need a bit of tinkering while at BrickWorld. Then with all of my smaller creations I will just take them apart a little to fit in one of my many PAB cups. (Some of the creations share PAB cups too.) Then I put those creations in a med. size tub. It just depends on how many PAB cups I fill depends on the size of the tub I put them in. Then for my dioramas I will get a med. container for each one and use either packing peanuts or paper towels/tissue paper to fill other empty space in the container. All of the loose parts on the dio are put into a small bag and then thrown in the appropriate tub for each creation. Last year when I had two creations over 3 feet long I had to leave those mostly build and just put them right into the trunk with a large tarp thrown over them. It looked like: Of course this year I'm being a little more careful with everything and using more containers mostly because I'm bringing more smaller creations and alot of med. sized dios. Also don't forget your minifig bin. Never know if you may need it. I forgot mine last year. Good luck!
19. Fantastic work! This is very original. I would not have expected something like this from you. The set aspect I would have, but the way you've captured the boat is very LEGO-like.
20. I agree the nose if very Avatarish. I also ordered the part I mentioned above from a BrickLink seller. I tried to see what it would look like using a black Technic cylinder and as soon as I buy on in grey I agree that it will probably look much nicer. Thanks for the suggestion Ralph.
21. I do have plans to add a tail rotor in the future. Unfortunately my only plan at this point involves this part that I don't have. Once I have the piece I'll get working on a new tail rotor. Unless of course I find a different way to aesthetically add a tail rotor.
22. There may have been a slight influence from the Avatar Gunship, but most of the inspiration from it was moral. Just keeping me building and at most times I would think about it when building the nose of the copter which proved to be the most difficult part. Thanks for the kind words everyone!
23. To start welcome to EuroBricks! I'm not sure what you're plans are right now, but I suggest lessening the debris in the water to a minimum. It loses some of its charm from it and makes it look just a tad sloppy. I also suggest SNOT water as this will give it a much cleaner look. Unless of course you are aiming for a classic style in which the studded water looks fine. I'm sure chaining that skeleton to the cliff side was a pain. I have tried and failed in situations like those. Nice start!
24. A thin agile helicopter armed with a heavy machine gun. Build for speed in its sleek design sporting spare thrusters and extra fuel compartments as originally designed by the company Polytech. Not many changes from the WIP I posted on Flickr a week or so ago. I tried giving it landing gear, but it didn't look right. A more formal photograph for this creation. I suggest viewing in 'All Sizes' on Flickr. The photo is a link btw. You can also see more on Flickr.
25. Thanks everyone! And Shurik I kinda like the med. blue and yellow together. All of the colors look nice in person at least.
