  1. Does anyone know what the Latin inscription on the statue means? I can make out a few words but not the whole thing.
  2. Simply amazing! The Weequays are just beautiful. I must have this set.
  3. I don't see what the problem is with that. If Lego would do Persians in a historically accurate way (unlike 300) then it would be accepted by the Iranian community. I can maybe understand why having slaves might be a problem, but they were historicaly accurate.
  4. Siege of the Gallic Village: 3 legionaires, 1 centurion, 4 barbarians. Barbarian village and a ballista. German Ambush: 2 legionaires, 1 centurion, 2 barbarians, 1 berzerker. Some trees Charge of the Sassanids: 4 late imperial legionaires, 1 emperor, 2 Persian Savaran, 5 Persian infantrymen, war elephant with 2 Indians on board. Some rocks and sand. Trireme: 12 slave rowers, 4 marines, one admiral. Gladitorial Arena: 5 gladiators, several spectators, 1 emperor, 2 Praetorian guards. Hun Invasion: 1 mounted Hun, 2 Hun foot soldiers, 2 civilians, 1 legionaire. A column and a merchant's booth.
  5. Baranus and Skopio are definite must buys for me. The others don't interest me so much, especially Thornatus and his bare-bone design.
  6. Not great, but not bad. I'll get him just because I love titans. If it is a prototype, then I'm sure he'll look better by the time he is in stores.
  7. I appologise, I just couldn't help myself.
  8. It's so cute!!!
  9. If that is what a d*** looks like, then I have to see my doctor immediately.
  10. Best Bionicle set Lego has churned out in years.
  11. It would be nice to have them as the faction opposing the rumored elves.
  12. I could have sworn it was grey in one of the canister images. I like it better black anyway.
  13. I think that WAW ended around the time WWII was ending, so I'm not sure what else a sequel would cover. I would like to see a Conquest sequel, but EA lost the game rights for LOTR so chances are low on that one. I'm actually suprised that someone else liked that game other than me.
  14. Stronius's (Stronii?) club is black now?
  15. I'll get it, if only just to have the figs. I might mod it to fit more than just one horse.
  16. I consider myself an army builder, though most of my armies are few in number. My Star Wars armies are the largest, I have amassed 100 battle droids, 40 clones, and 30 stormtroopers (and 6 rebels). My castle army is made up of 50 different figures, some borrowed from other lines such as Ninja or Vikings, or modified to fit the castle theme. I also build bionicle armies, but they are very small. I would like to expand my armies, but it just a far too expensive hobby.
  17. I'd much rather have them face off against an "evil" men faction.
  18. The King's Chariot looks a little too heavy for just that one horse to pull.
  19. Mata Nui is as glorious as ever, a definite first buy for me. Stronius looks like a troll with that club. Gelu is nice, but I'm not looking forward to him as much as Mata Nui, Stronius, or Ackar. Vastus is good, but I'm not liking how his launcher is positioned on his scythe. Ackar is easily reminicent of the simpler sets of olde. Everything about this set just works for me. Kiina looks like some sort of ancient sea goddess with that trident. The vehicles just don't seem to fit in with the Bara Magna setting except for Baranus V7 and Skopio. I'm more comfortable seeing chariots being pulled by two headed monsters than motorized vehicles.
  20. I guess that pic with Berix and the nameless Skrall confirms that Berix is the traitor. (as if you didn't already know)
  21. It kind of has that old Exo-Force vibe to it. I wonder if that flame piece is from Ackar, a new bionicle set. This is a definite must buy for me.
  22. Sounds interesting. I'll just have to wait for October.
  23. It's kind of cute. But he is totally out of scale, unless the large Mata Nui is its size.
  24. That Viking longship. Now I'm actually regretting not getting the entire Viking line.
  25. I voted for Indy because I love the semi-historical nature of the line. I used to be a huge Harry Potter fan and was an avid collecter of that line's sets, but after the final book I lost interest. Anyway, this thread should have included a Galidor option.
