  1. I just saw the trailer. Gentlemen, I think that the Clone Wars might finally start living up to its potential. The Second Battle of Geonosis (I assume) alone just put the "wars" in Clone Wars. I just hope that the Mandalorians get the respect and screen time that they deserve (a battlepack featuring them might be likely, since there are four of them). Edit: I just remembered, Obi-Wan did have a psudo-romantic relationship with someone else before. She was a Jedi, and I think her name was Siri Tachi, but I could be wrong.
  2. I misread the topic as TRU sets. I think that Lego missed out on that cash cow, and will continue to make sets from the films and the CW cartoon instead of TFU sets. I would like to have had more sets from this game (a Lego Junk Titan and AT-CT would have been megablocking awesome), but at they gave us Galen Marek. He was all I needed to recreate my favorite scenes from the game. I heard a rumor about Lego having a Legacy logo on a door hiding their 2010 lineup in a video. So most likely, the EU sets that Rob mentioned could be from the Legacy comic series (I would love to see Darth Talon and Cade Skywalker get the minifigure treatment). Another possibility would be sets based off of the new KOTOR game coming out next year.
  3. I like this set because it features the seedy underworld of the Star Wars universe that has largely been ignored by Lego in favor of more of the same old clones, droids, and jedi.
  4. The Blockade Runner looks pretty good now (especially the new Captain Antillies). I might just pick that up if I can afford it. The Comic-Con display cases are cute, but they arn't as big of a deal as I hoped they would be.
  5. I remember hearing that, a long time ago, that Lego refused to make green bricks because they feared that children would make tanks with them. Perhaps, long after we are gone and the events of our time have passed into history, Lego would make sets based on what we would consider modern military.
  6. Cartoons: I have allways been a big fan of Spongebob (I tried watching the 50+ hour marathon last weekend, but my mind would have turned into a sponge). I also watch both the Tartakovski Clone Wars series and the new Lucas cash-cow. In terms of more "mature" cartoons, I watch Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Superjail, Metalocalypse, and the Simpsons. Anime: The only real anime that has been able to hold my attention is Neon Genesis Evangelion (probably because it has only 26 episodes). I also watch Robotech, but I don't necessarily consider it to be an anime (just an American adaptation).
  7. Fighter Tank AT-AT Pirate Tank (when it is released) AAT AT-TE Snowspeeder X-wing Y-wing B-wing A-wing AT-AP
  8. Hell yeah! At least Matau wasn't Irish Lewa...
  9. When Lucas re-re-releases ESB, he should consider giving the Taun-Taun some miniguns and chainsaws.
  10. Well, Ackar and Gelu are somewhat bland in their designs. Kiina has a much more interesting build and better parts. I don't typically like blue sets, but Kiina stands out as a pure water goddess. I also recommend her for her helmet. It reminds me of the helmets worn by the Uruk-hai from the LOTR film adaptation.
  11. Her head is tiny on the set too.
  12. I'll only buy it if it has Captain Raymus Antilies.
  13. I personally hope that these are Hoth battle packs. The Battle of Hoth is my favorite land battle in Star Wars. But, if they arn't, then we still have the Echo Base set from this year.
  14. Well, it could be from a future Clone Wars "Ice Planet" episode. I wouldn't be suprised if they were CW sets, considering that Lucas and Lego will milk the CW cash cow dry.
  15. I know some idiots who mistake any form of hard rock or metal for scremo.
  16. Very appealing ideas, but the prices are far too optimistic. This has to be the #1 most desired Lego licence amongst fans that I've seen.
  17. I highly doubt it, considering that Lego's homeland is Denmark.
  18. Idea: A lost Barbarian chieftain from the Northern Frosts arrives on Bara Magna. He fights by Mata Nui's side and pledges the support of his people in the battles to come. A relatively minor character and could be represented by either a canister set or titan set.
  19. That is an old rumor that was spread in mid-2008 about pictures from a retailer's catalog that showed the 2009 Winter line-up. It turns out that the picture was actually of Darth Vader's Tie Fighter. It's a shame that there arn't more Force Unleashed sets. It had so much more marketing potential than Lego realized.
  20. I predict that Mata Nui will recruit the locals of Bara Magna (who are thankful for him defeating the Skrall) into building a new giant mecha body and will use the Bara Magnans to form an army so he can reclaim the Matoran Universe from Makuta. He will also visit the frosts to recruit the species there (biomechanical Vikings anyone?). After he helps them with their problems, Mata Nui will liberate the Universe and all will be right with the world.
  21. That troll is so cute!
  22. It would be ironic if Metus is the traitor, considering how he found and saved Mata Nui.
  23. Do you mean their cover of Epic by Faith No More? I'm listening to Ahti by Ensiferum, Contractor by Lamb of God, and Serj Tankian's Empty Walls.
  24. Let us just hope that Titan Mata Nui is cleaned up a little bit before his release. If he is improved before then, 2009 might just be even better than 2001 (at least in my mind).
  25. Vote for Mata Nui in 2009!
