  1. So we've seen the new X-Wings in The Force Awakens: It's very likely we'll see a lego set in winter 2015/2016, now I'm going to get into very minor spoilers....
  2. Thanks for the info guys, a few weeks into January isn't too bad. Of course I'll probably have to wait a bit longer for a sale.
  3. Generally speaking when do the (Northern Hemisphere) Winter sets usually start showing up at Australian retail. There's a couple of 2015 sets I'm eager to get my hands on and hopefully with a 20% off or BOGO sale as well :)
  4. Thanks Strand for the heads up on the TRU Buy 1, get 1 half off + 25% off promo code offer. It worked for me as of Friday 3pm as I just put in an order for the Star Wars AT-AT at $127.49 (25% off) and the Cantina at $65 (half off).
  5. If any one is collecting the Myer Lego Movie cards that they give to you for purchases over $75 I don't want them and are willing to give them away for free. Myer sent them to me separate to my online order with free shipping in package the size of a shoe box for what reason I do not know. I have: Emmet 1/20 Wyldstyle 5/20 Vitruvuius 9/20 Bad Cop 13/20 Unikitty 16/20 Send me a PM if you want them and I'll reply asking for your address. Please don't just reply because they're for FREE I'd prefer to give them to someone who genuinely wants them and preferably they would be for a child.
  6. Thanks for the responses guys. Colby City for $15 the few TRU's that still have it in stock want $90 for it. I've called around asking hoping to pick up a bargain. I can't justify paying full retail for Lone Ranger but after reading about some of the bargains people have picked up here it makes me want to score my own bargains. If any one sees anymore discounted LR sets post so here please. I did pick up the LOTR Pirate Ambush at Myer for 20%. Who doesn't love a pirate ship? I'm sure I could have got it at a slightly better price during one of the various sales and BOGO's but the problem is I'm not very patient.
  7. This might be a bit of a stretch but has anyone recently seen on store shelves Lone Ranger sets or 76000 Arctic Batman vs Mr Freeze? I know they're from last year and as per this topic the lone ranger seems but have been clearanced recently but it's worth a shot.
  8. The reason I asked is because using a price tracker it shows the price hasn't budged from $249.95 since release. Oh well. Any way, I've already received the set. Although they said it was going to ship on the 9th they shipped it the day after I place my order and I can confirm it was packed in a nice big brown amazon box. Fortunately no bag for me. The complaints they've received must have gotten through.
  9. Thanks for the info Hewman. I guess amazon.com is back to shipping lego to Australia then. They're temporally out of stock at the moment (says new stock is in 9 March) but at $250 USD and $25 I put in my order. Toys R Us in the U.S had it for $300 when I looked but now it's down to $250 but shipping is $60. I don't really care about the condition of the outer box. Hewman, did you order from amazon or a thrid party seller and can I ask how much you paid? I've never had a problem with returns to amazon. I've never used third party sellers. Again thanks for steering me in the right direction.
  10. Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask, it's always been a very helpful topic in the past, what would be the best way to purchase the Ewok Village in Australia/importing to Australia other than resorting to the official Lego shop? I hope others have done this and can steer me in the right direction, thanks.
  11. Thanks for this. I pre-ordered the Rancor Pit for $56. RRP is $69.99, so it looks like a fairly good deal. I just did a lego search and waded through the results. I wanted to see if any other retailers are doing pre-orders and while TRU has nothing yet I did notice the Millennium Falcon is back down to $100. Not a new set but decent price.
  12. Amazon.de would ship Jabba's Palace and the Desert Skiff to me but not the Millennium Falcon. So I purchased the first two. A week later (last Monday) I tried the Falcon and it would ship to Australia. Luckily before I bought it I checked Toys R Us and it must of been that day only they had dropped the price of the Falcon from $140 to $100 (it was both $140 a few days before and day after). It was only $25 to ship to Aus and I received it 8 working days later (it was only 6 days in transit I think - LA warehouse direct to Sydney). Both packages received from Amazon.de and ToysRus.com were in perfect condition and I couldn't recommend them enough. I used the standard shipping from Germany and it only took about two weeks. I was going to hit up Toys R Us' website when they have their Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, but it turns out I didn't have to wait :) Thanks to everyone for the various tips.
  13. Jabba's Palace was already in my cart so I tried that and it wouldn't ship to Aus. I've already got it on the way from Germany courtesy of amazon.de so no real loss, I was just curious. edit: it appears the will ship the Desert Skiff so they're shipping some things I guess.
  14. I've gone back over 12 pages of this topic and there is a lot of talk about people buying from Amazon.it, Amazon.fr and Amazon.co.uk (when they shipped Lego to Australia) but no real talk about Amazon.de, it there something I should know about ordering from them? They seem to have almost identical prices to France and Italy, cheap shipping and will ship the sets I want. I've only ever dealt with Amazon UK and US (non lego products).
