The yellow crane in front of the monument has the set number 60026 as well ( ). So it's either also part of the official set, or it's fan-built like the rest.

I really like the irregularly patterned walls. But I think the roof of the tall tower is too flat too fast. I'd put one or two black plates below the roof there, or try not using the super flat roof slopes at all.

This is from Toys'R'Us in 2009: http://web.archive.org/web/20090411232517/http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=3088672 Since we only have the one set number (60026), I bet it's more likely we'll get this all in one set, or less likely in three. I really doubt it's going to be two sets. The set number on the license plates vastly increases the chances that this is the real deal.

Some more thoughts on the school: - Yes, it's the paint brush of the CMF Artist ( http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Artist ), although contrary what I remembered he didn't have an easel. The brown thing in the school's top floor does vagely look like an easel, but I am not so convinced anymore. - In the photo's setting, the school is 38 studs wide and (partly) two stories tall. It seems to be rearrangeable to a 16 studs wide, three stories high building, with an extra 6 studs wide part of a building whose use I don't know. - Looking at the baseplates, the building definately doesn't appear to be tan-colored, but rather a creamy light yellow. I don't remember this color from other sets. - There's a milk carton, an apple and a plate in the bottom floor, probably a cafeteria. - The blackboard is in the top floor. - The school sign and the basketball board have stickers (i.e. aren't printed). - What's the light aqua blue (or white) thingie at the right sticking out between the roof bricks? I heard this in a LEGO video, too. Anyway, the magenta handbag in the school set appears to be different from the new sportscar set or either of the Friends handbags listed at http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=771 . So that makes even one mold more, if I see this correctly.

And finally... Heartlike High: http://www.spieletes.../005Friends.jpg (found via http://www.spieletes...cht.php?ID=1174 , which may have even more pictures down the road) ETA: Wow, so many things that I want to have. The school appears to have a chemistry lab, an astronomy telescope, a small sports court (basketball), a paint brush (maybe even the painter set with frame from the Collectable minifigs), an aqua bike, an Afro-Lego boy, a female teacher with glasses (I love glasses), a new handbag, ...

There's a photo of the German Toy Fair that shows the new family house even better: Very nice, seems to be furnished.

They look the same, although Bricklink hasn't linked the shirts of the newer sets yet: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?M=cty267&in=S (Forest Police Pilot Minifig) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?M=cty359&in=S (Museum Robbery and Helicopter Arrest Pilot Minifig)

All letters are two bricks wide and two bricks height, so I imagine a brick-built "A" wouldn't look much different to a brick-built "R". I bet we all agree that a PaLaCE cinema certainly looks better than PRLRCE cinema.

Thank you for sharing this house's evolution with us. The black stripes really help to "open up" the blueness. I'd try adding similar stripes to the medium-blue as well now, either as black stripes or normal-blue stripes or even as a brick-heigh normal-blue stripes.

from Brickset's Huw at London Toy Fair, http://brickset.com/...rticle/?ID=5566 My 2 cents: Yes! Some details have already been shared here before, but there is also some new information. I am so going to get Heartlake High.

Good eyes you have, daisy. I made a scan of the Heartlake City map from the new 41004 Rehearsal Stage set, and I also found what could be the school and bakery. Edit: Or is this the school? It's bigger and doesn't have a dark-blue roof as hinted at in previous posts, but it has a playing field.

Even if a new modular is not deemed perfect, its price is still WAY below the usual 10 cents/piece. So if it takes some modding to look better, then it's still a good deal. And if someone changes his opinion a few years in the future, they can still revert to the LEGO-designed version for free. For example, my Grand Emporium is a teaching hospital with pharmacy, and I don't regret buying the original IMO ugly shop version in any way.

Heartlake Friends Blog shows two more new Friends polybag pictures via Brickset: http://www.heartlake...ed-for-2013/270 * 30106 Ice Cream Stand (Emma, already shown in previous posts here) * 30107 Birthday Party (Andrea) * 30108 Summer Picnic (Mia)

It's clearly visible that the screen will be stickers: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream . So it's very likely that the movie posters are stickers too. And I am not entirely sold on the idea that there will be six movie posters (3x two for inside/outside). It's quite possible that for that particular photo, the window pane was simply turned around. (We'll know more when the high res pictures get released.) The four movie titles are, as far as I can decipher: - Three Clicks & A Snap (Tickets 30c, Showing 2:00, 5:30, 8:00) - Brick ??? (Separator?) - Mystery of the Monorail - Forever Sorting

I hadn't seen full pictures of the hedgehog set before. It's in the new 2013 catalog now for a May release.

I just got my new early 2013 LEGO VIP catalog brochure, German edition. Some countries' holiday VIP catalogs didn't include the Fire Brigade, and now is the first time that it isn't shown in German catalogs (the GE, PS and TH are still there, no PC yet). So I expect the FB to be discontinued soon, like you.

Since the Eurobricks frontpage now shows an image of the Palace Cinema, I attempted to copy-paste the Palace Cinema into an image with the other modulars. I think it fits in nicely with the others. Someone with Photoshop experience will get better results (the scale is hard to get right).

Very happy with this. I notice a reddish baseplate. Dark-tan pieces are hard to get via Pick-A-Brick, so that's nice also. The round thing over the sign could be an Asian hat (93059). A few other things of the roof remind me of the new Batman Arkham Asylum. I planned to get two Palace Cinemas down the road and modify one to get a corner-straight assemby. One window assembly takes 16 studs, so that should work. With the size of this one, I expect the usual price range of 150 EUR rather than the previously rumored 130 EUR. The (seemingly) round 1x1 plates for the roof will skyrocket the piece count, but it could be regular cones as well. EDIT for other things I noticed: - a bunch of light-grayish brick-bricks (20+) - The minifigs are: (1) a chauffeur in black, (2) a female with reddish brown ponytail, probably an actress, (3) a filmmaker photographer with Indy-hat, (4) a female in red shirt and pants, (5) a popcorn guy, (6) either an actor in black suit and white gloves or an usher.

That's great to hear, GRogall. Thank you for your information. Specific questions: - Were there movie posters, e.g. printed on glass? - Windows on the second floor? - The sign that says "Cinema" - how big is it? Is it a sticker? Or individual printed tiles? Vertical or horizontal?

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
sgeureka replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd rather call it weird if he had designed the MWT, Zelda or EVE and (as it is) failed. Obviously, his job experience allows him to design projects that actually have a chance to pass Cuusoo's review standards. Of course, people may then demand the same kind of insider information for their projects, but then the other three projects would still not have been made. (They'd just have been cancelled earlier, and wouldn't have got people's hopes up. Lesson to learn: Don't get your hopes up.) -
Well, since the third official modular (the FB), the back of the instructions always showed the last three modulars in groups of three, and this always included a corner building. So with the new Cinema and the two most recent modulars (both straight), it would break the pattern if the Cinema was not a corner. Still, we can't be 100% sure if LEGO sticks to that pattern...

If 50 sets are spread across 3 themes, of course you'll have more variety within a single theme than with 100 sets spread over 10 themes (of which several are closely related). It's basic math that can't be argued with. But themes are just names, the scale is still minifig-scale. My Lego town looks great with the modulars, Creator houses and the winter village, not to mention City (i.e. 4 themes). I wished I had today's variety (and money) back in the 1990s. Same as above. Throw away the stupid "City" (or "Town") theme title, and there are plenty of opportunities for your minifigs to live, eat and work. Edit: My point is, today's "City" might be considered a subtheme of the former "Town", but that's the fault of the definition, not with "City" itself.

Personally, I'd save the money and simply take the modular instructions from http://service.lego.com/en-gb/buildinginstructions/ .

The 10228 Haunted House had them reversed before.
