  1. "You and Haldor certainly have different stances." "Thank you, thank you, fair maiden. Caution is a trait anyone can admire. Disposing of the spawn of Helvetia is always something I am thankful for."
  2. What an ambitious and well put together project. Kudos, you have done some very nice work.
  3. Boomingham walks over to the Vampire's corpses and looks at them, eyebrows raised. He then turns to the party. "Well, they answered next to none of my questions." Boomingham walks over to Haldor and heals him. "Sorry about that, chap. You didn't seem to be making a move. Some creatures don't get to walk free. I don't know which God, or lack thereof, you worship that exalts that type of monster, but I advise you rethink. But that's just my two gold pieces on the matter. Anyway, nice to have you back." Barty hovers around Jess' new sword, mumbling to himself. "Shall we move onward? I think we've got some more folks to visit!"
  4. Round Six Sphinx Battle Edgar v. Sphinx - Hit Nyx v. Sphinx - Hit Sir Poletad heals Tarn - Miss Ribbit Tarn v. Sphinx - Shield Edgar continues his brave attack, once more biting Sphinx (-5). Nyx also attacks, hurling her ball of darkness. It catches Sphinx's face and slams him backwards. His staff clatters and his back thuds into the ground (-31x2=62). Poletad ribbits and all the members of the party regain one ether! Tarn, who the battle has been rocky for, flies into a frenzy and smashes the butt of his Helbaerend into Sphinx's chest repeatedly (-48). The poison (-1) and burns (-2) do their things. 5. Very very cool. This (and the original) is one of my all-time favorite games, so seeing it realized in LEGO (by both you and others) is always a joy. You have captured the feeling of everything perfectly, if you were to present any of those MOCs to me and tell me they were from StarCraft, I'd be able to identify each of them! The terrain you've created to put them on, however, doesn't feel 100% StarCraft, which is a shame considering how great all the other models are. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but I feel it's a little bright for StarCraft, and the terrain is too varied. Perhaps instead of those pure divided area there could be more patches of them interchanged. A mix between small areas of forest scattered, along with one or two big hunks of forest. Apply the same concept to the other terrains, and you'll get a map that's not too hectic, but not too organized and without flow. Just my 2 cents. Again, great work over all and good luck with the project! You should build a Terran building under construction/damaged. That would be wicked cool.
  6. Wow, very nice photos! The first one is particularly nice - the forced perspective works very well, the expression is wonderful, and the composition with the two strong gray lines is striking!
  7. Boomingham swings his Frozen Sabre at Victoria once more. "Might as well finish this. Sorry, dearest, but we have places to be, people to see, explosions to investigate. You don't happen to know anything about that, do you? Also, screw it, while we're chatting, who rigged the tournament, and why, and who hired you? Feel free not to answer, it won't make you more or less re-dead anyway."
  8. Skrall gives good speeches. It's a fact of life. EDIT: x10
  9. You were at 6, then the special dealt 3 damage, bringing you down to 3. Poletad healed you by 15 points (18) and then you were burnt for 2. That should leave you at 16 Health, right?
  10. OoC: I forgot to change the burned effect to match Maw's. Sorry everyone, it's been updated from -1 to -2. If you think that's unfair, speak up. Round Five Sphinx Battle Edgar v. Sphinx - Special Damage Nyx v. Sphinx - Damage Sir Poletad heals Tarn - Shield Tarn does Nothing Edgar is thrown off of Spinx and bursts into flames. All the heroes are burned by a ring of flames that explodes out of Sphinx (-3). Nyx is once more prevented by an additional specially aimed fireball (-8). Sir Poletad prays to his god and receives a miracle, healing the entire party (+15). The entire party's flesh sizzles (-2). The poison bites away at Sphinx (-1). 11. Well, those folks in Lions and Lambs certainly are a rowdy bunch... It's certainly an interesting twist, though I can't see a way that they're going to be friends again any time soon. I like it! Adds some varity to the game and really builds up honest to goodness justified hero v. hero grudges. I hope heroes don't do it too often though. And I thought Hoke challenging Tesni to a duel was daring!
  12. Very cool. I agree the logo needs to be labelled, but going in knowing that it was a Ghost-Buster MOC, I have no trouble with it! I like the take on a ghost. I agree, the little figures are great. They capture the kind of campy feel of the ghost-busters perfectly. One thing I'd advise when taking pictures - make sure everything is snugly pushed on. That tile at the top of the logo is popped up, and it is eye-drawing in a way I don't think you intended. When you have nice MOCs, little things like that which distract are just sad, because they take away the viewer's attention from all the nice work you've done on the MOC. Oh, and congrats to your son! It's clearly a good MOC, just a few notes.
  13. OoC: Welcome home WBD! I hope the transition back was easy. "Victor, Victoria, how does one become a vampire?" Boomingham asks suspiciously. He is starting to wonder if maybe he hasn't made a mistake. Perhaps these beasts were not as in control of their fate as he had originally believed. "Be prepared to taste the wrath of Ennoc, monsters. Do not waver, Lawrence!" "I'm not wavering," Boomingham growls, slashing at Victoria again, continuing his attack. "I wish you had been reasonable. I hate to ruin a honeymoon."
  14. Round Four Sphinx Battle Edgar v. Sphinx - Critical Hit Tarn v. Sphinx - Damage Sir Poletad heals Nyx - Heal Nyx v. Sphinx - Critical Hit Edgar continues to gnaw on Sphinx (-10). Tarn dashs forward, but Sphinx lights a fire at the end of his staff and slams it into Tarn's face, charring it and smashing the warrior into the ground (-15). Poletad heals Nyx and hops around happily, celebrating his success. Nyx winks at the little frog and then, almost to say "look at what I can do", she flings a ball of darkness at Sphinx (-((13x3)+18)x2=114). The poison has its incredibly tiny effect. 15. This was the first time that I've picked a Story-Driven Party Leader. Thothwick is the only hero that Phil knows, and so he is the hero that Phil would pick to be in command. I plan to make choices like that in the future, when possible.
  16. Happy birthday Shadows! Hope that you have a truly lovely day.
  17. He refused to fight. I doubt reviving him would fix that. Oof, just realized that. Bouncing between Wren, Baba, and then Wren again. Not good for you. Anyone else want to invent a witch so Thothwick doesn't escape? It's not surprising that you're distrustful of Atramor.
  18. They are interesting stats. I think there are people who just seem to fit the role better than others. Docken, Thothwick, Skrall, and Tarn, for example, all strike me as people who would be trusted to hold together teams... though there are a number of people there who I don't see as holding together teams and have done it just fine. As for the parties for the new quests - they both look great! I'm really looking forward to the character interactions, especially the three rogue quest as they're all characters who I can see getting along well AND getting along extremely poorly.
  19. Alright, that's what I figured, but thought I'd get the official word! Thanks Sandy!
  20. Alright, but let's say a barbarian rolls an extra critical hit with a fire weapon against a ice monster. That's (WPx3 +lvl)x2... so where does the +3 play in? Does it become: ((WPx3 +lvl)+3)x2? Or like BD said, does it become: ((WP+3)x3 +lvl)x2.
  21. Round Three Sphinx Battle Nyx v. Poletad - Hit Sir Poletad heals Nyx - No Heal Tarn - Critical Hit Edgar - Shield Nyx smashes the tiny frog with her Healing Staff. A lesser frog may have been squashed, but Poletad feels energized. He is unable, however, to heal Nyx, as the smashing action has left his mind a little muddled. Tarn, feeling in high spirits due to his companions and his revitalization, attacks Sphinx, stabbing his side with the top of his Helbaerend (-(((10x3)+14))x2=88). Edgar also leaps forward and sinks his teeth into Sphinx once more (-10) poisoning him in the act. Sphinx holds himself stoically, excepting the attacks. The poison racks his body (-1). 22. Two questions: When players have (for example) +3 power... where do QM's factor that in during damage calculation? After WP and Lvl have been multiplied and added, but before elemental advantage/row have been applied? Or elsewhere? If someone were to target a fellow hero with a weapon and roll a damage or special damage, what happens? The second one has been answered already.
  23. "Bartholomew, you won't be able to attack Victoria. She's trapped you in her witch's snare. You must go after Victor."
  24. "Victoria can do the most damage, it would be best for us to take her out while we can. Onwards and upwards, heroes." Boomingham continues his attack with his Frozen Sabre from the front row.
  25. Round Two Sphinx Battle Edgar - Critical Hit Nyx - Damage Sir Poletad heals Tarn - Heals Tarn - Drinks potion Edgar charges in bravely, sinking his little teeth into Sphinx's skin (-10). Nyx charges up a bolt of darkness, but before she can fire it, Sphinx shoots a fireball at him, knocking the spell back onto her (-8). Sir Poletad bounces around doing a little dance and Tarn feels good once more, and drains a potion, just to be extra sure.
