Quest 44 Altair Ziegfried - Human - The Ziegfrieds High Conjurator Altair is probably the Ziegfried who is most open to outside influences. He has seen first-hand what closedmindedness has done to his family, and wishes to change it. However, his no-nonsense grandmother Zelda, strongwilled wife Beth and grumpy brother Goldraum often overrule his opinions. Alive, Ziegfried Manor The Valkyrie/Åsa Nifelheimr - Nôrn - Heroica/The Nôrnian Refugees As a battle mage in her tribe, Åsa took lead of the nôrns that fled to Eubric after their sacred northern home of Nôrnia was infiltrated and destroyed by vikings of the Shaman King. The all-female race of nôrns has a distinct hatred towards men because of this, but Åsa managed to overcome that as she adventured with the champions of Heroica. Her magical prowess and ice-cold determination swiftly lead to her promotion as one of the six Veterans, but few know that it’s the artefacts she brought with her that allows champions of Heroica to survive even when everything goes wrong. Alive, In Eubric Riot Leaders Boreal, Zephyroth, Eurose & Nothus - Norseman, Fairy, Humans - The Hovels These four lead the riots that erupted in the poorest district of Eubric known as The Hovels. Because of the angry mob, the houses in power build a stone wall around the slum to keep the rioters and beggars inside. Heroica put an end to the riots, and the four leaders were swiftly executed. Their severed heads were pierced on pikes on top of the Hovel Wall as a warning. Dead Chesterine Ziegfried - Human - The Ziegfrieds This youngest child of Zed and Sycamore Ziegfried was involved in a strange accident as a childhood which left her mentally scarred. The truth about it is that her parents got involved with the archdemon Abraxas, and Chesterine saw the demon slay her mother. Minor Occultess Chesterine is aloof and absent-minded, and her cross-eyed gaze has turned away all potential suitors. Despite of this, her biggest dream is to get married. Alive, Ziegfried Manor Elite Cannoneers Columbus, Cortes, Magellan & Pizarro - Humans - The Bonapartes These valiant elite cannoneers act as bodyguards to Admiral Nemo and his family. They helped the heroes of Heroica put an end to the riots in The Hovels. Alive, In Fort Bonaparte The Copper Fox/Jacq Altraite - Human - Heroica One of the six current Veterans of Heroica, The Copper Fox is a "Jack of All Trades" who helps accomplished heroes train in the arts of job classes in a secret training room inside Heroica Hall. He started out as a street performer in Eubric, but soon learned how to use his talent of imitation to trick people out of their valuables. However, he was caught and faced the gallows, but he was saved by one of the men he had deceived, a leader of Heroica who believed he could pay for his crimes by putting his skills to good use. Alive, In Eubric The Dragonlord/Cain Tiamateus - Human - Heroica Being an offspring of one of the original Veterans, "The Golden Dragon" Yuliana Tiamateus, some jealous souls argued that he merely inherited his place among the Veterans. The Dragonlord went out of his limb to prove them wrong, riding his dragon companion Smaragdea into the civil war tearing up the Low Kingdom of Billundia some thirty years ago, and returning home only after peace was restored there. His authority has not been questioned since. Alive, In Eubric Goldraum Ziegfried - Human - The Ziegfrieds Vice Warlocker Goldraum is as fiery as his red moustache. Unlike his brother Altair, he is very suspicious towards outsiders prying on their family matters. He is highly jealous of his wife Mabel, and not entirely without a reason, either. Alive, Ziegfried Manor The Falconer/Hestia Bonaparte - Human - The Bonapartes Hestia used to be a champion of Heroica renowned for her skills in archery and falconry. Then she signed into a quest pitched by one Nemo Bonaparte, and fell madly in love with the would-be admiral. Together they had a beautiful daughter called Attina. What even her husband does not know is that Hestia never resigned from Heroica, but is in fact one of the Veterans. This double life makes it hard for her to balance her loyalties. Alive, In Fort Bonaparte The Feathered Serpent/Kukulkan - Orc - Heroica/The Orcish Maroons This orcish witch doctor came to Eubric as a slave in chains, but fought his way to freedom and sought refuge within Heroica. He began working for the rights of the enslaved greenskins in Eubric and over a decade achieved a lot of good for them, using his status as one of the six Veterans of Heroica to further his cause. But now he feels that the time for talk is over, and direct actions need to be taken in order to end slavery in the Free Islands once and for all. Alive, In Eubric Mephisto the Hungry - Archdemon - Zoot One of the three archdemons sealed to guard the forsaken temple of Zoot in Mercution that got buried in a magical war a thousand years ago. The city of Eubric was founded directly above the ruins of the temple, but the archdemons kept sleeping until one of them, Abraxas, was awakened by the necromancer Sycamore Ziegfried some fifteen years ago. Mephisto, who is the personification of gluttony, was woken up next, but he was quickly banished by the champions of Heroica. He remains connected to the mortal realm through his weapon, the Pheles Rod, which is now carried by one of the heroes. Banished to Azazot Nemo Bonaparte - Human - The Bonapartes The current head of the Bonapartes is a stoic gentleman, who takes his position as the Admiral of the Crystalline Sea very seriously. He has a daughter called Attina ready to follow in his footsteps, and an identical twin brother called Reno. He believes that her adventurous wife Hestia has resigned from Heroica, but that is not the case. Alive, In Fort Bonaparte The Sand Queen/Oracle Semiramis Azzurati - Human - Heroica/Priestesses of Fabula Sibylla This mysterious woman is called a queen with a good reason, for she was the wife of the king of the once fertile land of Azzurat that was buried under the desert by a horde of demons that were summoned by her mad husband. She and most of her people managed to escape the doom, thanks to her inherent power of clairvoyance. Besides being a Veteran of Heroica, she also acts as the Oracle of Fabula Sibylla in Eubric. Alive, In Eubric Shaun - Human/Undead - No Allegiance Appeared in: Quest 44 Shaun used to be a street urchin whose life was cut short by the violent life on the streets. He was given new life by the undead necromancer Sycamore Ziegfried, who lead him to the dark temple. Even in his zombified state, Shaun kept his curiosity, so he wandered away from the temple until he came to a spider-ridden basement. He satisfied his hunger with the arachnids. One day a little girl came to the basement with tears in her eyes. Shaun consoled her, and the two became fast friends. They used to play almost every day for months, until Shaun was summoned back to the temple. The little girl came to find him with a group of warriors, and now the best friends have reunited. "Alive", Underneath Eubric Sküld Verdandi - Nôrn - The Nôrnian Refugees/The Priestesses of Fabula Sibylla Despite being only seven years old, Sküld works as an altar girl at the shrine of the Goddess of Fate, Fabula Sibylla. Over a year has passed since the remnants of her tribe fled their homeland in the north and arrived to Eubric. There hasn't been a child born to the all-female race ever since, so Sküld is destined to be the last of her kind. Having grown up in the city, Sküld's view of life is very different to the other women in her tribe. She is kind and caring, and has no trouble coming along with any kind of people, and even has a zombie boy as a best friend, much to the chagrin of her mother Ürd. Alive, In Eubric Smaragdea - Dragon - Heroica The emerald dragon is the steed and companion of Cain Tiamateus, also known as The Dragonlord of Heroica. She has a lust for all things golden. As a hatchling she was accompanied by the other dragons of the Tiamateus family, but they all left when their human partners died, leaving Smaragdea alone in the huge lair located directly under Heroica Hall. Her years spend almost alone has made her bitter and uptight. Alive, Underneath Heroica Hall Sycamore Ziegfried - Human/Undead - The Ziegfrieds/Zoot Eleventh Necromanticer Sycamore was the wife of Zed Ziegfried and mother of Altair, Goldraum and Chesterine. She studied the copy of the black grimoire Pandemonicon that the family she had married into possessed. The book lead her to discover a forsaken temple of Zoot underneath Eubric. At the temple she awakened Abraxas, the Archdemon of Pride, and made a pact with him. She got her husband persuaded into the pact, but the archdemon found him to be more controllable than Sycamore, so she was slain. Only when Zed failed Abraxas and got burned alive, the demon resurrected Sycamore and made her gather an army of undead for him. The sudden arrival of a party of champions of Heroica to the dark temple put an end to this scheme. Sycamore was killed once again, and her remains were returned to the Ziegfried family grave. Dead Ürd Verdandi - Nôrn - The Nôrnian Refugees She's the strict and weary mother of Sküld, whose only wish is to get out of the slums of The Hovels and offer a better life for her daughter. This has caused friction between her and the leader of her tribe, Åsa Nifelheimr. Like the rest of the nôrn women, she is suspicious of all men, and has trouble accepting that her daughter is not. Alive, In Eubric Violetta the Cat Burglar - Human/Werewolf - The Wolfgang This beautiful burglar is one of the leaders of the Wolfgang, and like the rest of them, a werewolf. She is considered the favourite of Ulric Wolfkin, the head of the criminal organization. She is very proud of her talents as a burglar, to the point of being overly confident. Using every trick in her sleeve, including posing as a mole called Kayla in front of the Town Watch, she successfully managed to break into five of Eubric's houses in power and steal their most valued possession, but at the Ji Pei Palace she was defeated by a group of heroes from Heroica. Instead of turning her to the Town Watch, the heroes traded her for one of the family heirlooms. She went unpunished by her crimes, but her pride was so dented that it took a long time before she dared to show her face outside the Wolfgang base again. Alive, the Wolf's Den Zelda Ziegfried - Human - The Ziegfrieds Grand Wizardine Zelda is the current matriarch of the Ziegfried family of wizards. She has such a large number of offspring that even she has trouble keeping track of them all. Zelda was born and raised in the distant eastern city of Salmanda, where she was good friends with the would-be queen, Salome. Alive, Ziegfried Manor

I want to go on a CMP quest so badly. I'm so conflicted - how do I finish up a story while also getting to be hosted by all the QMs I want to be hosted by. I want to continue this BD story, finish Strivvi, pursue Baba, I'm longing for another WBD quest, and I REALLY want to be hosted by CMP and Kintober and I think Flipz has one in the works that would appeal to me. But yes, that party looks fantastic. Thalion is an awesome character. And we have Guts and Hybros together. AND Guts and Maurice together.

Quest 84 Sign-Ups -Thothwick, Level 24.33 Black Knight -Arasmyth RuGard, Level 15.5 Evoker -Althior Emorith, Level 30.5 Necromancer -Erdathcath Madilinas, Level 19.5 Druid
-
I'd love to have Karie, an if you sign up I'd seriously consider taking you, but I don't know if this would be the quest you enjoy the most. There would be some fun stuff thrown in there for sure. It's mostly Hinckwell v. Shadeaux, but stuff always bleeds through the cracks. Always.
-
You'll have to duke it out to see which rep you get. There's an opportunity for both, but its not possible for some people to get one and not the other. And I hope you realize this means I HAVE to take both of you and a neutral third party who doesn't care which rep they get.
-
There is essentially equal chances that you get Hinckwell/Shadeaux rep... aka it is ENTIRELY in your hands. I think it will be a fun quest, VERY short, hopefully enjoyable. That's a chocolate brand. Cookie? (I know the reference must run deeper than that).

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Final Day
Zepher replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
No response to my stuff, Sandy? I'm glad you liked Zelphie, CMP. I actually really enjoyed her, and she was very powerful. I assume she's out there now, growing only more powerful, creating the best staff ever. I really enjoyed playing someone weird and heartless, it was a fun change from Boomingham who cares too MUCH generally. I may use Zelphie again one day, though I'll have to change her appearance. If anyone else wants to use her first, that's a-okay with me!- 109 replies

F*ck. My final finale was going to take place below the sands of Azzurat. Aw well, back to the drawing board. Looks cool, Sandy!
-
I was originally going to alphabetize it, but Sandy presented a better solution, and I reverted it back to what I converted it to originally. The B is the last vestige of the transition. It will be fixed shortly.
-
There are no longer any links, you can find the quest on your own. I don't want to crash the site - reformating that post would probably finish me. I'm slowly removing the links, but you should be able to still figure it out pretty easily. Maybe I'll put a guide at the top of the page: Quest #-# page 1, Page #-# page 2, etc. That will make it even easier.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Final Day
Zepher replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I killed Heron, by the by. And Capriccia. And Heron again. I wanted it to be more of a bloodbath style game. I also wasn't particularly worried about the town losing. Heron was a first night kill, I thought I'd see what killing someone did and also scare the Nephs a little to show we weren't afraid to attack. Cap was to make sure that Corelin was for sure scum. Heron was to test the theory Chrome put out. I know he was Neph, but in the past scum have pointed out a possibility that's true to seem more townie/have it swept under the rug after their death.- 109 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Final Day
Zepher replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I actually feel for the scum in this one. I didn't have a great time, only because it became clear very early on that we'd win extremely easily. There was no challenge, so it feels like a sort of hollow victory. BUT, that being said I think it was a MOSTLY well designed game. The flaws, I think, are obvious: the transparency of the actions and the Phoenix Essences. Other than that, the conversion of Heroica to Mafia was very well done. I enjoyed playing Zelphie, and some of the character designs were simply outstanding: U'Dragan, Enya, Pallas, Panduin, Theodor and Retak (particularly the first and last) are some of my favorite builds of characters I've seen in a good long while. The sets were are nice as always. I have to, sadly, echo the others in saying that the ending seemed a little contrived, and Zelphie certainly would have stuck around. I did enjoy the chance to play as someone other than Boomingham, though, and she's a character I very much enjoy and may one day reuse, if someone doesn't beat me to it. I thought the roleplaying, before it was dropped, was quite a bit of fun - if we had been given the quest we'd just returned from or something I think that would have been a fun little way to add in a little bit more, and allow for more interaction. Over all it was a massive undertaking and you did it well! The balance just wasn't quite there.- 109 replies

Quest 42 Adam Trice - Human (?) - No Allegiance Adam, too adventurous to become an Alchemist, decided to follow the path of a wild knight, which caused to an argument between him and his father, Dr. Bart Trice. Later, heroes find him frozen inside of an Ostrich Raiders' hideout inside of a cave system nearby Demon Frog Valley. Reunited with his father, he was also possessed by the madness of the Staff of Life, but was quickly put down by the heroes and Adam decided to remain with his father in his residence. It is not clear if Adam is Dr. Trice's biological son, or if he could be a previous attempt of life-creation in use of alchemy by Dr. Trice. Alive, In Dr. Trice's Residence Almite Bob - Human - No Allegiance (previously Guild of Invision) Rival of Dr. Trice, he was also kicked from the Guild at an unknown time and for an unknown reason. He was devoted to stop Dr. Trice from completing the Staff of Life, after the argument between the two alchemists. He stayed at the Marketeer's Asylum, selling magical and alchemical wares with his exile buddies, and was killed after fighting with annoying heroes. Dead Dr. Bart Trice - Human (?) - Ex-Guild of Invision Dr. Trice lives in his residence in the western mountainous parts of Uland, south of Shelbric and near Mount Ulysses. He was kicked out of the Guildhouse after causing some problems, and afterwards devoted his days to developing a staff with the powers to create life. He hired three heroes to help collect the last items for the staff. After becoming mad from the idea of unlimited power that the staff could bring him, he attacked the heroes he hired to bring him the items, but was defeated. He was spared by the heroes and was freed from the madness that the staff brought him on. Being reunited with Adam, who possibly is his biological son (but also could be a previous attempt of life-creation with alchemy), he now spends his time mixing different brews with the assistance of his faithful genie Eugene. Alive, In Dr. Trice's Residence Bunnicula - Vampire - Ostrich Raiders Yes, a vampire that dresses up as a rabbit. Or perhaps it is just a very hare-y demon. We'll never know, as he was quickly extinguished with one stab of a steak. But as all good bad guys tend to do, he'll probably show up again sometime soon. Vanquished Eugene - Genie - Guild of Invision Eugene is the genie assistant of Dr. Trice. Although easily frightened, he is very loyal to Dr. Trice and is willing to do anything for him - as long as there is no chance of violence. Eugene can help transport heroes at a quick speed - granted that the heroes will consent to holding hands. Alive, In Dr. Trice's Residence & Grabian the Greedy & Insane Albert - Humans - No Allegiance Two of the exiled marketeers that spent their days selling their things in marketeer's asylum outside of Shelbric. Grabian was too jealous of his brother Fabian's popularity and started to try to steal his customers, and eventually Fabian moved to sell in a different city (Eubric, apparently) and Grabian was kicked out of Shelbric. Albert is described as "master uh blacksmith and that kind of stuff". Albert was killed in a battle between some of the marketeers and heroes of Heroica. Grabian, Alive, In Marketeer's Asylum - Albert, Dead & Horegrast & Jierpuff - Humans - No Allegiance These two rogues try to scam any passerby. Currently they are locked away in the Town Watch jail after unsuccessfully and stupidly trying to scam Captain Patricia into selling them her uniform. Alive, imprisoned in Eubric (Name unknown) - Merman - (Allegiance unknown) Stuck on dry land after being caught by slavers, but was left behind, this Merman was assisted by Eugene in order to get back to water after making friends with two Heroica heroes, Erdathcath and Pretzel. He will surely remember the names of these heroes and of the great hall that assisted to him to return to his homeland. Alive Mossdredds - "Power Tree" - No Allegiance This ancient tree is no tree at all - in some languages he is called one of the Entkind, and he was the last survivor of his race until the party of Heroica heroes came to help bring revival to his species. Alive Odzaph the Semi-Mad Demi-God - Demi-God - Unknown Odzaph, a raving mad being, was born in the stars (or at least according to his claims). After being banished from the heavens (because he had destroyed a zoo of exquisite creatures in a far end of the universe), he was banished to Olegaia where he quickly gained a reputation for being quite strange, but also quite powerful. Nothing mentioned up until now is probably true. He was killed by heroes after challenging them to join his force of thousands of elves, which subsequently ended up being a bluff. No one regretted his death, in fact, many celebrated it, mostly rabbits. Dead & Ricky Riding the Archer & Malbert the Mage - Human - No Allegiance Ricky and Malbert randomly challenged the heroes trying to pass through their land to a fight, and lost. No one knows the cause of their stupidity. Most historians guess that it was just a random thing that the almighty deciding to throw in to make things interesting. Dead

Quest 40 SCUBA I HAVE NO INFO FOR THIS QUEST... now might be the time to get it in since we're going back, you're not on a quest, and CAT ended.
-
It's a process, I know - I just reread quests 38, 39 and 41 so I could properly write up the bios for all the characters. But now would probably be the best time for you, yes. Maybe it will remind you of something you want to work in to Strivvi II!! Who knows! EDIT: While we're on the subject, Sandy and I have devised a way to keep my job a little simpler. There will be, firstly, no links in the first post for two reasons: 1) it is VERY HARD to do for each post and 2) I was afraid that I was getting too close to the "too much code" limit, and I do NOT want to have to revive that post from the jumble it becomes if you happen to reach that limit. Secondly, again this is in part to make my job easier, only the post recent post with each NPC will have the most up to date information about that NPC. This will make updating a breeze for me, but will also offer you the ability to see an NPC's story a little without re-reading every quest that they're on. The most recent post will also, of course, have any and all information from previous posts.

Quest 39 Doc Daneeka – Sayyip – Guffington Manor Doc Daneeka is a Sayyip under Guffington’s employ. He formerly worked for the Ji Pei, but Guffington offered him more freedom, so he changed his employer. Daneeka works on strange otherworldly instruments, and is extremely old. He is characterized by his matter-a-fact tone and personality. Alive, Guffington Manor Captain Elba – Human – Guffington Manor Captain Elba is a captain serving Guffington. He claims to be apt at his job, and that the Bonapartes at one point hoped to employ him. Alive, Guffington Manor Lord Gerald Guffington – Human – Guffington Manor Lord Guffington is considered the richest single man in Eubric. He has a distaste for politics and political cunning, though, and so interacts in a friendly manner with all the houses. Guffington has made his money investing in whatever interests him. He likes travel and exotic creatures. The heroes of Quest 39 saved him from himself. Lord Hughes – Human – No Allegiance Lord Hughes is a rival and friend of Guffington’s. He sent Guffington the dust that sent him into the dream state. Later, he was murdered, causing Guffington to suspect that an attempt would be made on his own life. Dead U’Ordissium – U’Kin – Guffington Manor U’Ordissium, U’Or for short, is an uneasy and jumpy U’Kin under Lord Guffington’s command. He seems to take care of the day-to-day of the Manor. He is exceedingly loyal to Guffington, and has a crush on Madame Ladybug… like most U’Kin in the city. Alive, Guffington Manor

Heroica RPG - Quest #77: Your Elves are Better than Ours
Zepher replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Boomingham swings Scupperer at Swordsman B. -
I'm with CMP on this one. But I DO really like the new heartless Althior. I've said it before - I thought he was a pretty decent character when he was a funny break the fourth wall sort of guy. But his new heartless self is more interesting and unique. I don't think we have any other totally selfish characters, and I really like it because there are some people like that in the world. He's particularly interesting because he seems to remember a time when he was more happy go lucky. It makes him even creepier.

Heroica RPG - Quest #77: Your Elves are Better than Ours

"I'm sure he was looking for someone who didn't break anyone's hands," Boomingham says to his short companion. -
I absolutely love your quests, Kintober. I hope to have a better review up sooner or later, but they really impress me fully. Your characters impart a lot of feeling in brief appearances: they feel concise, well planned, humorous and real. Your story pacing is always superb. I think that you really know how to tell a story. It has a nice amount of randomness, a nice amount of the right moments. There is a certain "ease" that you get with good writers, as if they're not really working, like their stories and characters just sort of fall into place. I always get that feeling from you.

It will come once he has an army under him. He's secretly seething that Nerwen gets to lead them... but he likes her well enough, so I guess he's alright with it.
