Ah, Desprete! I like it! Just like Targè... You're in! But do try and attend most of the meetings, we had one girl last year, I believe her name was "Iris" or something, and she drove a bulldozer off somewhere right before the most important of meetings... -

Would you like to join the Desperate Housewife Club? It's exclusive, and invite-only. I'll be sending you an invite as well... Should I send you an invite, too? -
They also didn't have access to history books, and it seems that you don't either - Vikings never had horns in their helmets (well, maybe a couple did, but not the majority) - that's just a myth, well, maybe not a myth, but a misrepresentation of historical references to Vikings. I don't see a parental lawsuit against Charles Dickens... "... Joining their horny hands over the rough table at which they sat..." Except that the second and third were completely unrealistic (even more so than the first) and sucked, frankly. u r correct Actually, they do - the fact that they don't know any fear is not a fact at all, it was determined in a 1938 conference that under the event of a... Sorry, am I being snobbish? And I'm sure it was all too common for there to be giant sea monsters and all the like?

The Baritones 2 Introduction & Discussion Thread
Adam replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, I had the most controversial hair in the first Baritones game, and I surely have the same kind of hair in the second one! But I'm not so happy about being married to my moronic, Quarrioni's-son hair husband Tony - it makes flirting near impossible! O yeah? I have a zipper. Going off past experience, I'll either end up almost winning, acting like a moron all the time, and die right before the end, or end up getting my hair on fire when some arsonist blows up my house. That sounds good (except for the part about my Al's girlfriend), but... no Ivan? He was by far nearly everyone's favorite Russian idiot! Whatever you say, Pablo - just get the ones in the kitchen first! -
The information you've received is set names and possible release dates. Even if that "something better" wouldn't fit into TLC's budget - most of the really good Space MOCs use about 5 billion pieces, or use parts that LEGO wouldn't even dare bring up in sets. But you are right, even if someone were to build something out of the part range LEGO would choose from (or even from the pieces of one of the new sets), they could probably come up with something truly unique. Wanna bet?
-
It sounds like an interesting MOC (you're listening to input from other members for inspiration), and I'd love to be in it. Me, I have 2 sigfigs at the moment- one can be seen as my avatar, but here is a larger image: Here's my second one: I advise that you use the second one (if none of the torsos are possible, I'd be fine on a classic-Town torso).

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Adam replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I like the look of that new "Boulder Blaster" MacK mentioned (the accessory count and part usage is smart), but does anybody know it's price? I'm sorry if this information has been given earlier, but I can't seem to find it in this thread... That's interesting... I guess that Power Miners will go under "Inner Earth" in some countries. By the way, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but here goes: There will be a Power Miners "mini-movie," on Friday nights starting February 9th on Nickelodeon. -
Yes- the names suggest that the sets will be very cartoony and Agents-like, but didn't we all hate Agents when we saw the prelims and end up liking the sets? For the Space Police, it's obvious that the color-scheme for their vehicles and structures will be a consistent, but even if they're cruising around in hot pink and bright yellow, it's also apparent that those won't be the only colors received. For instance, you've got this "Squidman" in one set and a Mr. Freeze wannabe in the next- with each set, there is going to be a different villain like in the Batman series, and each of their ships/buildings will have a unique color scheme. There are six sets, and if each set has a different baddie, each will have it's own color scheme, so that's a total of 7 different color schemes- I'd be shocked if all of them were hideous. Either you're implying something or you're hoping for a mix of a modern Police color scheme with Blacktron, and as I said above, I don't think that there will be one fixed "bad guy" (like in the original Space Police and Space Police II themes).

Hmmm... this is an interesting concept; I've made numerous Smilies myself, but I think you should enter the "Pirate Smiley Wars" contest when Round 2 starts. Good luck with the "business."
-
Great work- the Body Miner looks great; nice use of those legs. Ding ding ding! You are correct- those are indeed Arctic Alpha Team pants.
-
Well, they (Hinckley, I bet) actually modified a quote of mine: So this is rather self-inflicted.
-
It would seem that someone finally capitalized the "G" in "get."

I've made a WIP logo:

I think that something the size of MacK's freighter should suffice, no?
-
I could put a symbol together, but it would have to wait- stupid computer breaking down. But really, do we need all of this advertising the game? It's not like we're some sort of commercial, here.
-
Well, Hinckley, I'm sure you don't want me in- but I'm signing up anyway! Can't wait! However gets in is going to enjoy it, based on Baritones I.
-
*sniff* I understand... thanks.

Happy Birthday, guys! Nobody notices my birthday just 'cause it's the day after Christmas? Happy Birthday, me.

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #7
Adam replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
That was hilarious! Perhaps your most interesting comic yet, in my humble opinion. I also think that it's rather clever of you to change KimT into his Santa suit this way, and I'm another fan of "I brought a toaster." I'm glad to hear about the return of some of your other stories, though, and if I have time, I might even attempt to score a seat in the Baritones II. Not as if you would let me in, though, since I get annoying after a while, and all . But you'd need someone to be moronic, wouldn't you? Did you see Al in there, too? -
Then it looks like you've gone blind. No such thing will happen- no Adam side plots or anything. The metal blood thing just makes me a bit stronger, which is why I've been able to jump the shark a couple of times...
