Happy birthday, boss-buddy! Let's raise a glass! Enjoy yourself with your damsels in distress. ... I'm sure Zorbeereis and ZopMike are enjoying their new names.

Galactic Paranoia - Discussion Thread

Once again, I'm the most attractive of the bunch. ... I think he means that he'll edit them in as we find them. -
I agree, Ignacio - although each figure is well chosen, Adam's minfigure combonation is perfect. I just hope I can remember the name... I can't wait to play!

The definition of the word "party" differs from person to person. This is how a 18-1900s villian describes it. Brickshelf Gallery Happy Birthday (although late) CopMike!

I thought games were scheduled by suggesting a general month you could host in, then working around the other times? Oh well, whatever you say. -
OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
Adam replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In complete contrast to the ratio discussion, I bring the news of a mafia game I'll actually have time to host, for once: As the name implies, I plan to host a mafia game based on the hit FOX TV show 24 in mid-May (or when one of the new games ends), one that occurs in the course of 24 hours - meaning that the first "day" becomes the first "hour," which can be at any point in the day, and that the images will be told from multiple points of view. I plan on sending a PM explaining the rules with a backstory to Hinckley tomorrow. Going along with the above discussion, I also plan on putting in place a sort of ratio system. The idea is to have two groups about the same size, one of experienced veterans and one with players new to Mafia games in general. I've decided that the best idea is to make the veteran group larger than the group of novices, so that they have multiple seasoned players to teach them how to play. This is what I mean about the player ratio, Dragonator voiced it perfectly. I also agree with this theory - I don't think any unenthusiastic volunteers would be interested or active in the game. -
Mafia and Mystery Appreciation Tag
Adam replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Creating a Mafia/Mystery tag like the Star Wars one is a great idea! I agree - this tag should motivate Mafia-goers to play better and participate more, not the reverse. -
Personally, I liked the water. I wasn't referring to the design of the bow, but the pieces it was built with. I can think of at least 10 alternatives that are still historically acurate.

80c Flickr member PurirideVry created the three masted "La Angel" some time ago. I'm extremely fond of the figurehead base and cabin. What do you think of it? Flickr page

Personally, I'm not too fond of it. I like the curvature of the cabin, but I don't like the eccesive studsand the bulky front.
-
I would love to be a part of this! You have a great, original idea which I think will be quite successful.
-
Great work! Now that you've made a Partisan, I'd love to see a Josip Broz and a Chetnik soldier. I agree with Tanotrooper, lovely painting on the PPSh.
-
I wouldn't mind playing. In fact, I'd love to! Since I'm training new recruits for two months, I'll have plenty of time to play.
-
Wonderful. Once again, you're almighty figurehead building skills surpass all other figurehead endeavors. Not that I haven't seen that particular one before, on the original HMS Repentance. I love the use of those rounded pieces on the sides, and the DUPLO anchors work really well with this. The yellow, black, and brown color scheme is perfect, as is the curvature of the ship. Truly amazing ship, Fat Tony.

Yeah, looks like we're in the same ditch here. I'm convinced that your vehicle would've won, too. I've been tinkering around with a windshield, but I've yet to find something long enough that looks OK. I also had a rollcage there for a time, but I decided to remove it. Thanks - though you're right, a two-person competition betwen already built vehicles wouldn't be quite exciting, fair, or admin-approved. Thanks! But isn't Luke's speeder grey? Thanks for the nice words. I was really ticked it didn't make it, but oh well. Thanks, Copmike007.

Well, I tried. Could it be possible to move this to the other forum since it's not an entry?

Thanks for the comments, guys. I've taken some better images, so I'll upload them fast and switch out the ones in the post. I haven't changed the actual MOC...

Title: Hot Rod Pieces: 192 pieces Minfigure Count: 2 Background Information: I was watching Attack of the Clones and something hit me as I watched the beginning chase scene: why hasn't LEGO produced more get-around speeders? All I ever see are walkers, battle tanks, starfighters... is Anikan supposed to drive to the grocery store in an AT-AT? I only know of maybe three personal vehicles produced by TLG! Why not create something that reflects this rage? Description: During the "Flower Power" age of the Clone Wars, it became imperative that the vehicle markets, which normally had big Y-Wing sales around fall, produce something that better related to the average customer. For some reason, your regular Coruscant citizen didn't want a ship with a gun poking out of the top and a Buzz-Droid attached for "playability." That's where the Hot Rod comes in... Overall Image: "Anikan! I told you to buy something that was bulky, ugly, and had at least six legs and ten guns!" "Sorry, master! This was... uh... the only one they had!" "Nonsense - you bought this for the engine, didn't you?!" Front: Right Side: Top: Left Side: Back: Brickshelf (when moderated): Link I tried to build this with red instead of brown, but I didn't have any red slopes (and it looked terrible with rough bricks). I built this with the hope that others would join in with the Personal Vehicle Rebellion. I hope I'm not breaking any rules - some rules confused me a little, and I'm a first time Star Wars MOCer. I think I've only made about three posts in this subforum, even.

You got it - I'm trying to show how stupid this "holiday" really is.

... Why is everyone saying "CRAZY?" -
It's probably gone at the end of the video to see if we could spot it during the one little part where Jamie goes over the history of trains.
