  1. 4. Oky's The Sunken Ruins of the Royal Knights' Castle 5 points
  2. You'll be missed! Although on the other hand it will be great not to look tiny in group photos... God Bless, Nathan
  3. Me too... though it gets more relevant every year God Bless, Nathan
  4. A nice set, I like the exo-force faces, they work surprisingly well in this context. I also like the varying elevations in this scene. Very good work! God Bless, Nathan
  5. To be honest if you got 3 spartans and 3 Pharaohs you are unlikely to have been scammed. That box is the same makeup as the ones I've seen. God Bless, Nathan
  6. Cheers for posting this up. V interesting. I'm voting for the ostrich! God Bless, Nathan
  7. I personally blame the 'blind' element of this purchase for the symptoms you rightly bemoan. Far more than I blame the figures as a concept. Thus I lay the blame squarely at TLC's door. They planned to shift markets. Away from your 'creative' market and towards the 'collectible' one. To be fair to them they tend to inspire a lot of creativity, and I'm sure they will be looking to convert passive buyers into their set ('creative') range. But it is still annoying. Bring back the polybags. Let people buy for the purpose they had in mind (creative) rather than as a necessity of collecting... God Bless, Nathan
  8. Beautiful! I especially enjoyed the first one. It really engages the viewer on so many levels. Great work (and thanks for sharing)! God Bless, Nathan
  9. Mine are pretty much all pink... If people are having replacement luck I think I'll give Lego a try. I'd pretty much stopped buying these sets because all the copies I got were pinked. God Bless, Nathan
  10. Keep trying mate! This seems to be a hard thread to rein in And, yes the Bloomberg version of the story I read, made that fairly clear... God Bless, Nathan
  11. Thanks for your review! Loved the "toy" weapons Also I hadn't noticed the hover craft before you pointed it out. It looks like a nice wee build! God Bless, Nathan
  12. Good man yourself! It's nice to see someone not getting swamped in the brain drain of formal education... God Bless, Nathan
  13. They're just gcses... no bother at all! God Bless, Nathan
  14. You should probably combine aquanauts/aquasharks as they were release together (or split atlantis into divers and mutants). But it has to be the aquanauts for me. The only sets that could ever have pulled me away from castle! God Bless, Nathan
  15. I keep all the old magazines on my coffee table and regularly pine after these images. I think my entire building style was subliminally defined by a desire to create brick versions of these scenes. In fact my eventual goal is to be able to produce a large enough diorama that I can take a poster shot (in this style) and display it... God Bless, Nathan
  16. Love it! And I hated that film... God Bless, Nathan
  17. Have they never heard of 'campaigning season'? A very nice wee MOC. I'd love to see a little more rubble and detritus (as well as disturbed snow) at the base of the wall. But the amount of action you have packed into a very small scene, along with the clear presentation of the story, is excellent. Thanks for sharing and God bless, Nathan
  18. There are very few MOCs made entirely with Lego's current pallet that I really enjoy... and this one of them! It has that lovely timeless quality of an enjoyable set, while touches of design reiterate that it is indeed a MOC. Some lovely work, particularly in the condensed scale. God Bless, Nathan
  19. I've always found these transitions annoying (though economically they make perfect sense). I'd love to see Lego market to a group of people who want a line to continue to run with additions made within it's existing scope (classic castle) rather than "New" series that are, in fact, rehashes. But I seem to be in the minority from a marketing standpoint... God Bless, Nathan
  20. Naturally huge congrats my friend! You've worked hard for a long time on this and deserve all the future success I know you will enjoy! I also look forward to you re-emergence in this community even if it is punctuated more frequently by work extracting from your creativity levels (that has been my recent experience). God Bless (as always!), Nathan
  21. You North American perfectionists... will you never appreciate Europe for what it is? God Bless, Nathan
  22. Hmm. For once this doesn't clash with anything (yet). I really hope I can make it along! God Bless, Nathan
  23. Thanks for whetting the appetite. I'll vote on the relative merits of the two calendars when I manage to get my hands on this one... God Bless, Nathan
  24. Ohh... Ahhh. Those could be (an expensive) solution to my current container shortage. I've been based off the standard lego tub that they stopped making for so long that I'm 'beginning' to outgrow my supply... God Bless, Nathan
  25. I know I will while traveling, thanks much! A very pleasing on the eye version as well. Thanks again and God Bless, Nathan
