  1. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! (I hope you got all that shopping done in time! ;) )
  2. The color scheme looks somewhat appealing. I would have to see the front of the train to determine if I would decide on buying it. I hope it isn't another one-piece chunk of plastic as in the High Speed Train...
  3. Well, in my case, no-one knows. ;) No-one, that is except my best friend, whom they, too, love those colorful little plastic blocks!! But if everyone knew, then I wouldn't be here right now! ;) :P
  4. One note on the bridge... Is it going to expand into a new "Marine" theme of LEGO CITY? People's dreams of having a seaport might just come true! ;)
  5. 1) I'm going to be bankrupt in 2 seconds after these sets come out. 2) Is it just me, or are the sets getting more and more oversized?! First it was 4 stud-wide trucks, then 6 studs, now 8 studs is becoming a trend. If this continues there won't be a "Minifig" scale CITY... :oo *wacko*
  6. Because of the out-of-scale problem in my City caused by the size of the new City vehicles, I need to upgrade my vehicles to the same scale. Therefore, I need: Wheel holders/Axles: The new car base/chassis: The new hub-caps/fenders: I will need the wheel holders to be in black for at least 2 pairs. The others can either be in light/dark gray/bley. I am aiming most for 2 pairs of the black ones. The other colors are optional. For the car chassis, either dark/light bley will do. For the hub-caps/fenders I would mostly prefer dark grey, but white is fine also. Contact me by PM if you are interested. Thanks for helping!
  7. Yet another for Matt! Great packaging along with good communication makes him a great person to trade with!!
  8. Interesting... the medical CITY sets are listed under "Fire Rescue."
  9. I personally have never romoved any minifig's arms or legs before, so I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips on removing the arms/legs easily, as well as putting them back on easily. Isn't it pretty hard to put them back on again?
  10. Time after time, you crank out fantastic reviews!! I'm definately getting my hands on this set!!
  11. Does the electric thingy slide out from the side? Or is that just for design?
  12. You always have to keep us waiting, don't you? ;) Looking forward to your reviews!! P.S. You can give into your temptation anytime my friend! I'm waiting for your fantastic reviews!! :P ;)
  13. Here is a picture of the back of the instructions, showing all of the upcoming CITY sets. WARNING: The picture is maxed out into a 3 megapixel image so you can clearly view the picture, therefore the file is about 1 MB. Dial-up users may have long loading times.
  14. The hospital instructions also has a picture of the new airport, but it is quite small. Do you want it anyway?
  15. Interesting find with an interesting explaination...
  16. As you know, I'm not a SW fan. Sorry for any confusion. I guess it's not a new piece after all. Thanks to snefroe for clearing that up! ;) And I'll have those pictures up by the end of the day.
  17. Hmm...now that you think about it...I should have graded it lower. My original grade was a 6, but I decided to give TLC some slack...
  18. It is finally posted!! See here for the review!!! :)
  19. This is my first review, so I only have medium-quality pictures because the review was not planned very well. Also, as a newbie at this, I might not do this "correctly," but that doesn't mean that I'll be soft on the review. Here goes... Let us begin with the MINIFIGURES This set includes 4 (four) minifigures. Two doctors and one surgeon along with a patient. The shirts/torsos on the doctors are new. So is the surgeon's. The set includes a little CAR with a design very similar to the Fire Chief car. On the back there is a opening to store the included suitcase. Nothing special. Actually in my opinion, it is a little dull and bland. The HELICOPTER is either a huge dissapointment or a dream come true (at least part of it is). The rotors on the helicopter (and almost everything else as a matter of fact) is made of all natural pieces, making the overall size of the helicopter about half the size of the police and fire helicopters. Placed along side them makes the medical helicopter seem like a dwarf. Placed along classic helicopters, the size is perfect. The helicopter itself is very badly designed. It looks more like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. As a prototype, I would let it go. As a final design, absolutely unacceptable. The stretcher just clips on to the sides of the helicopter. The badly hurt victum get injured every minute of his trip to the hospital. (This will negatively impact the set's final score...) But there is (mildly) good news...it includes a new printed tile piece design. Ok, enough rampage on that, time to get to the main building: the HOSPITAL itself. The front of the hospital is not too good, not too bad. The (unapplied) stickers try to enchance the look of the front, but it does little to the completed building. The baseplate it rests on is NOT A PRINTED DESIGN! There are stickers everywhere on this thing (and on the helicopter and car too)!! All/any of the designs except for the control panel slope, the computer pieces and the control panel tile on the helicopter. Yes ALL the grass designs are completely add-ons as stickers. Have fun putting all those stickers!! The stairs is another story. Probably one of the best designed pieces of the set. The handrail lines up perfectly and realisticly modelled. The garage for the car on the left is uneventful. Need a model? Look at the one in the fire station, change the colors to red and white and you've got it. The helicopter landing pad is even worse! All those supports arranged in random positions make it an unsightly piece of the model. Where the patients in the helicopter get loaded off is even more confusing. There is no elevator, stairs, etc., to get up to the third floor where the operating room is. Speaking of the operating room , lets talk about that for a minute or two. It is surprisingly well-designed compared to the rest of the set. On the equipment rack includes a circular saw, another saw, yet another one of the mechanical hands, and some other medical instrument I can't seem to figure out what it's supposed to be. There is also a light and a place to place the strecher on (the two blue slope bricks). Down one level is the recovery room with two hospital beds with a sticker on the end with a heart monitor design (not applied) both beds have cups on the "tables" positioned next to them. One of them has some sort of thingy (I can't seem to remember what it is called). Other than this the room is totally unexciting. On the first level is the visitor's/reception's desk with a white flat panel computer (with a new detailed white keyboard tile piece) and a blue chair. Nothing more to say because there is nothing more to talk about. Actually there is nothing more to say about anything else. I think I have covered just about everything, so I guess it is time to get to the final verdict. Drum roll please.... FINAL VERDICT: 7/10 (Points off for the badly designed helicopter, helicopter landing pad, garage and a bland set overall) MINIFIGURES: 9/10 CAR: 7/10 HELICOPTER: 5/10 MAIN HOSPITAL (including garage and helicopter landing pad): 7/10 Comments are always welcome. As a matter of fact, I would like you to especially comment on this review since it is the first one I have ever done. If you want or need more pictures, please post your request here. Thanks for reading! ;) ;) **Here is the full gallery when moderated.**
  20. Since I am going on a class trip tommorow, I am preparing for that. Therefore I just started building now, so I might now be done with the whole review at 6:00 (30 minutes away)...

  22. Sorry for the double post, but it seems like that UPS couldn't deliver my package for some strange reason. The arrival date was rescheduled for tommorow (November 17), so you will have to wait for another day. Sorry...
  23. I don't know what is going on... It has said "Out for Delivery" on the UPS Tracking Site since 3:21 AM EST, and now it is 5:24 PM EST and still no package... :( This is the first time that UPS has dissapointed me... >:( All of my orders, what ever it may be gets delivered around 12:00 to 3:00 PM EST...
  24. ATTENTION: The review may be delayed for a few hours later than the planned time for today, as the package has unfortunately not arrived yet.
