  1. Hi, in one version of my 8x8 TrialTruck i used linear actuators for steering. Works really well, but to slow for me. Greetz Markus
  2. Just remove the middle differential and use a rigid drive instead, that should solve this problem. Greetz Markus
  3. @crazy Your redesign is awesome, i like it very much. But there is one thing that won´t work. You´ve split the transmission with three differentials. This will cause the total loose of torque at least. Hard for me to explain it in english, but i´ve tried the same for my 8x8 and it failed. The problem will be; if one wheel looses contact to the ground, all of the torque was at this wheel. You will see it, if you build it in real. Greetz Markus
  4. Are these new sets ???? Where did you bought them ??? Greetz Markus
  5. to explain.... The green colored shows you the working drivetrain depended on the position of one of the red drive ring If the drive rings in another position, the direction is changed The important thing is, that only one drive ring got another position, the other stays in the middle Here you can see the parts that are used How this will make you understanding the function. Greetz Markus
  6. Hi,first i was thinking of, was something like this One drive ring must be switched for a direction. If none is switched you have a "neutral". Greetz Markus
  7. @rm8 Maybe you can animate TLG to reactivate the PowerPuller Wheels Greetz Markus
  8. I'm not sure which color I would prefer but PP-Wheels would be a great gift to the Lego community. BTW congratulations to you rm8.
  9. Hi there, seems that LEGO Germany sells out their XL-Motors. Actual price (01/18/2013) is 11,99 €, which was the cheapest i found atm for a new XL-Motor. XL-Motor LEGO germany Even on BL the cheapest new XL-Motor is 13,98 € (from german store). A few weeks ago the best price i found was ~18 €. Maybe someone needs some XL-Motors like me Greetz Markus
  10. You´re right, the steering works good but is maybe to weak. In this case the linear actuators were great (but to slow) Buggy motor would be a cool thing Greetz Markus
  11. Hi there, i´ve meanwhile rebuild the Truck completely new. But i don´t changed to the live axles. I wanted to have the truck with differential drive with differential lock function. I´ve also changed the steering. The linear actuators worked very well but to slow in my opinion. Now I use two servo motors for steering. The differential lock is remote controlled. So here are some new picks of the new design and a little function video. Sorry, no outdoor test-drive http://youtu.be/bsBdi98RkQk Atm i´m working on a new version with live axle, differential drive with lock function on LDD. Greetz Markus
  12. Hi, Looks great. One question ( I'm sure somebody asked already): Where to get this awesome tires ? Greetz Markus
  13. This should not be a problem, you´ve got many friends here, that will forward the model to you then. I would do this. Greetz Markus
  14. @ hrontos I wished your Quad were in. This was One of the best entrys in my opinion. Greetz Markus
  15. Thank you. There are so many great entrys, but I'm very happy to be in. Greetz Markus
  16. Hi there, i've also received a email from Jeppe Juul Jensen, that my entry (blue&white Offroader) was one of the ten. Greetz Markus
  17. I can´t tell you atm. I need to test it.
  18. Hi there, today i want present you my last MOD. I wanted to use rechargeable batteries for my LEGO Technics. The standard rechargeable AAs don´t have enough power (6 x 1,2V = 7,2V), so i modificated the standart PF battery box for 2 x 9V blocks. The other thing is the weight. With 6x AA = 208,4g and with 2x 9V = 132g) The 2x 9V are connected parallel so the voltage stays 9V. Here are the pics for my little mod. First removed all battery connectors Then need to cutout. First test for fitting. Placed the new clips vor the 9V blocks and clued in. Solder the new cables to the board (parallel) Yes, it´s just as easy to remove the blocks like the standard AAs. Weight with 2x 9V blocks = 132g Weight with 6x AA = 208,4g So I´m able now to use rechargeable batteries and get full voltage of 9V with less of weight. Greetz Markus
  19. No, not for this version. The LAs were great for steering but there´s no place for them with the new suspension.
