I am already on a roll, but I would like to increase the size of my Orc army. I'm talking about the minifig size Orcs (Trolls, whatever you wanna call em), NOT the big, bulky lookin guys that carry the clubs. I have lots of Dwarves at the moment, to trade, and a fair amount of Crownies and Skellies also. Maybe we could work something out????? I'm lookin for any Orc pattern shields also. PM if you have any layin' around that you don't want or need at the moment. I know these guys are still fairly new, but I figured I would make an attempt anyway. Thanks!

Custom Printed Fabric Elements
Stash2Sixx replied to Lamanda2's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
So yesterday, I come home from a long, hot, tiring day of work at everyone's favorite store and I just feel beat. It's over 90 degrees here outside Chicago, and the a/c is all messed up, so no one can come out to fix it til Monday. So I sit down and start to relax, when someone tells me I had mail on the hutch. So I slowly get up, limp over to the hutch, grab my mail and sit back down. As I leaf through bills and junk mail, I find a small yellow envelope. Without hesitation I slap the one corner three times, tear the other end open, tip it over, and out pops the most amazing capes and flags I have ever seen. People, these things look TEN TIMES better in real life than they do on screen, and they look amazing on screen! So, I say thank you for my custom Orc capes and flags. My Orcs received all of them later that night. Now if only I could figure out what hapenned to that digital camera..... -
Fantastic MOC. Great detail. I would love to see more pictures though!!!!

The lego star wars playsets aren´t that bad
Stash2Sixx replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think you guys are gonna flip when you see the new LARGE playset that comes out in September! -
You forgot to mention that in the 5-pack, one of the heads turns around 180 degrees to reveal the screaming face! Or does yours not have this head?

You know what? Lego Castle needs more sets for 2008!
Stash2Sixx replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hey SDPIRATE, You think the $200 Chess set is expensive, just wait til the new LARGE (and I mean BIG) Star Wars playset is released later this year! No matter what, and forgive me here, "Nobody can make everyone happy all of the time, NEVER!" You know what I mean? LEGO releases a KILLER line up this year, and people are complaining? I don't understand. Would you rather we go back to Knight's Kingdom? The new Harry Potter movie comes out in November right? Would you rather that Harry Potter replace the castle line as it has done so many times? I love it. No wait...I LOVE IT!!!! We got some solid (new) factions this year (and if I count the Dragon faction). There were two decent size boats which are pretty cool for MOCing. There were also many sets that had a price point of $20 or less, and that is something LEGO is getting better at. And, TLC has even hinted at an entirely new faction for next year, which would be awesome. Just as I Scream Clone said, Castle is not the only line this year. Agents is taking off, the Coast Guard stuff is nice, Speed Racer did fairly well, Batman just dropped, plus all the new Creator sets, and then the Clone Wars and Star Wars Large... I think LEGO has done a VERY good job with the Castle line this year. -
25% off on both Aqua-Raiders and Exo-Force. Only 25% off. I called to confirm.

Thank you! -
I voted for 6392. I remember actually going to TRU to buy this set because it was the first large scale set I ever bought with my own money. Ah, memories!

I would like to nominate I Scream Clone for +1 good trade!! I received a few "Good Wizard" sets and sent him some Castle Battlepacks. The value was fair, the shipping was prompt, and the communication was excellent. He is a great person to conduct a trade with! -
If you plan on having an intersection, then go with the Cafe Corner. If you are starting with only one road, then go Green Grocer. Either way, you can't lose!!!

Keep your hopes up everyone. Dwarf Mines are coming back this week in LEGO stores, and Sith Infiltrators should arrive soon. Hopefully, Hoth base will appear too!!!!

Custom Printed Fabric Elements

I agree with the more rugged orc cape, however, I figured Amanda had enough to do with designing the new color capes and flags. Also, to me, If I want it truly to be a unique army, then every cape would be different, so I could use the "blade" to customize each one myself. But I agree, with the fighting Orcs do their capes would look much more weathered than other factions! Good point Skipper 24. -
What faction from Castle do you represent?
Stash2Sixx replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Oh my god! Are you kiddin' me? Since this seems to be getting off topic, lemme voice my opinion again, and to clarify, in case there is any more confusion.... ORCS/TROLLS They own! Just you wait. By the way, I believe I need to take pics of my Trolls EATING the red dragon. They told me he was delicious with the bottle of A-1 I supplied! -
Cafe Corner or Green Grocer are such a great example of how your city can start. Just by building that set, you will see the building techniques used and be able to incorporate them into your own creations. The Creator line is also great for pieces. Most importantly though, you need to decide how much room you actually have to start with, if only four baseplates in a square, then you are looking at 20x20 cm. I have no idea how big of a table you were talking about, but these are the key starting points for any city. YOU NEED TO HAVE LAND! And remember, you can always add on, just do not rush things. 1. Land 2. Baseplates 3. Large centerpiece item (Cafe Corner or Green Grocer) 4. bulk bricks and pieces (Creator sets and auctions) 5. Structures 6. People 7. you get the idea......

I voted CASTLE! Very first set from the early 80's was a simple little horse cart, and I was hooked! Second favorite, Pirates.

A terrible blow to an adult fan of lego?
Stash2Sixx replied to General Zen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But can we really call people who buy out 15 or 20 huge sets AFOLs? What are the odds that they turn around and put it all on Bricklink at a markup? I know it can be called capitalism, but it just stinks! A few of my friends use to mess with me because I said my hobby was LEGO. Then they would come by and the first thing they always do is...."COOL!" And then they start playin' around and checkin' everything out. Besides, it can only bother you if you let it bother you! -
Wonderful job. Great roof, fantastic landscaping. But those knights better look out, all it takes is a few Forestmen to cause havoc!

ORC / TROLLS! Savage beasties that use sheer muscle to destroy and wage war....OH YEAH!!!!!!! And the army keeps on growin'! BTW, are we keepin score in this thread? -
Exactly what Imperialscouts and Sinner said! Harumph, harumph!!! But I work in a place where I would be correcting everyone's vocabulary all day long, so I kinda let it slide.

One, and most importantly, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH LEGO!!!!! Two, you are never too old for LEGO, I'm 30!!! And three, I like this. I'm not a huge EXOFORCE fan, but I do love Castle and this is essentialy a futuristic castle, with technology. So, I think I'm gonna put one together. Couple of questions though. -Colors; doesn't really matter right? -At what brick height levels are the technic pins to connect the wall sections? I saw three in your LDD drawings. -Is there a size limitation per module, because I think I would like to construct one on a 48x48 plate, and incorporate a corner? Lemme know. Room is very limited as of right now, but it will open up in the next month so....
