Honestly, for the items you intend to build, I wouldn't bother with sets. I would suggest a PAB wall at a nearby LEGO store. I'm not quite sure how large you want some of these MOCs to be, but at least you can save yourself a few dollars (and headaches) by buying brick in bulk. What university if I may ask?

Lucky for me, I have a fairly large collection, so most of the pieces I already have. Every once in a while there are a few parts I need to go out and find. If I remember correctly, I only needed 10-15 pieces off of Bricklink this year.

Yeah, 2010 was really interesting. I kinda just took a lot of the Staff and Fellow ones I had from 2009 and used them, unless there was a change or someone complained and didn't want to participate. Slowly, over the course of the next few months, interest slowly grew, and then that last month, there were a few last minute entries. I'll take a look around and see if I have a total count. I know a few didn't make it due to a decal printing issue, but that will be fixed by Christmas, hopefully. And for those of you who might be wondering, these stay put together for next year's display, which could grow even larger. Only problem is to actually see anyone, I might have to upload a larger pic. No one mailed their fig this year though.

After finding, then misplacing, then refinding, then losing, procrastinating, and then refinding (again) my camera cable, I am finally adding my photos from Brickworld 2010 to my flickr page. Not as many photos as I would have liked to take, but it was a busy year. I promise to have more for next year....I hope. The Official Eurobricks Sigfig shot will be placed in it's appropriate thread. If your sigfig doesn't have it's own pic yet, it is on my to-do list. Sorry all for the delay, please enjoy.

Serious? If she gets testy, let a manager know. Unless they are aware of employees with bad attitudes, then they can't do a thing about it. My store is mobbed by phone calls and questions about the new Series 2 minifigs; we actually think it's kind of funny how many people want these things! Customer service is super important nowadays no matter where the store is. A ticked off customer will end up buying from somewhere else, and that's never good for retail!
