Hi, I'm converting this kitten: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=80686pb03#T=C&C=156 into a digital LDraw part and was looking for a frontal hires picture as you can see here: https://allegro.pl/oferta/lego-zwierzeta-c-szary-kotek-80686-6375490-14967416185 to be used as template. Thx, Willy

If I understand you correctly it is this one: and NOT a sunken antistud:

Hi, I'm working on the LDraw digital file of the Bellatrix hairpiece: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=92082 and I'm looking for a picture of the inside, showing the type of antistud used on that hairpiece. Thx, Willy

Hi, to sort out some issues with an official LDraw part I would appreciate getting your help. In case you own an Electric, Motor 4.5V Type 2 for 2-prong connectors with Middle Pin I'd like to know if the electric pin holes line up with the center of a technic pin hole or if the position in the official LDraw part as shown in this picture: https://forums.ldraw.org/attachment.php?aid=10489 https://forums.ldraw.org/attachment.php?aid=10490 is correct. Thanks, Willy

Mano thanks for the picture, much appreciated. w.

Sure. That's the picture I used for my post. Problem is you cannot tell if the lifesaver ring is printed or transparent. w.

Hi, over at LDraw.org we are having a debate if the lifesaver on the stickers used in 6338 - Hurricane Harbour is printed white or transparent? From the pictures it is hard to tell as the stickers are applied to white bricks: If you have this set please let us know. We need this information to properly model the sticker for the LDraw Parts Library. Thx, Willy LDraw Content Manager

Hi, I'm trying to fix the LDraw version of 30457 - Animal Dionosaur Body Tyrannosaurus Rex which lingers on the LDraw Parts Tracker for more than twelve years and some close-up pictures would help enormously. I browsed some reviews but no useful pics turned up. If you have this part please post some pictures of the "eye"-area, the studs (from above to figure out the orientation of the LEGO logo), the underside of the feet as well as the hole where the tail is inserted. Thx, Willy

An updated version of the LDraw All-In-One-Installer, in short AIOI, containing the LDraw Parts Library update 2022-01 with 821 new files (including 568 new parts and 22 new primitives) has been released. The AIOI supports Windows XP (Home and Pro), Windows Vista or higher (all versions). There are two installer files available: Use the 64 Bit AIOI to install all the main 64 Bit programs, while the older 32 Bit programs are offered in a separated .exe file. Please note that only the 64 Bit version contains the LDraw Parts Library. If you want to use the 32 Bit programs it is mandatory that the library has been installed previously. The Installer will NOT run on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT Ver 4, 2000, or XP below SP2. It contains the following changes: * Update to Parts Library 2022-01 * Update to MLCad.ini 2022-01 * Update to Offline Parts Catalog 2022-01 * Update to LeoCAD 21.01 * Update to LPub3D 2.4.3.0.2557 You can download the AIOI from: LDraw.org >> Help >> Get Started >> Windows >> LDraw All-In-One-Installer Many thanks to all the programmers who contributed to this release. Hi, I'm trying to fix some LDraw parts which are stuck on the LDraw Parts Tracker for more than 12 years and would need some pictures to get the job done. The part in question is: Train Battery Box Car with Three Contact Holes, Red Switch Lever, Black Magnets, and Black Wheels It is my understanding that it comes in two flavours: two and three contact holes: I would appreciate if you could post front/side/bottom pictures of the black train base which is the subpart I'm currently working on: https://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/x941.dat Obviously the color of the lever, wheels, magnet is irrelevant as I'm interested solely in the train base. So if you've got the part it would be nice to get some pictures posted here of send to willy[at]ldraw[dot]org. Thanks, Willy

Custom LDD bricks and fixes
Holly-Wood replied to Equilibrium's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi, you're doing a great job here and I love that also LDD users benefit from our collaborative effort over at LDraw.org. However I wonder why the authorship and the history have been stripped from the converted parts and why this Derivative work is shipped with no License and Attribution as determined by the: LDraw.org Parts Library Agreement Kind regards, Willy Tschager LDraw Content Manager -
Use the pics as reference for the pattern?
-
Hi, I'm currently working on an LDraw version of Watto: For the patterned version I would need some high resolution photos from all sides + two-thirds from left and right for reference. I found some pics on the net but not greater than 1600 x 1600 which is not enough. Many thanks in advanced, w.

Hi, I'm looking for some pictures of: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...ge?P=20193 as well as its measurements to turn it into a LDraw part. Thanks, Willy

After searching a bit more I'll go with: https://www.whatfontis.com/Benguiat-Gothic-Std-Medium-Obl-adobe.font?text=Technic and adjust the converted font in the Pattern Creator. Many thanks for all your help!

Interesting site. But I'm quicker recreating the logo with the LDraw Part Author tools we have than first trying to recreate the font itself - I would still have to convert it into a rough LDraw mesh. I was more hoping into an answer such as: It is ITC Benguiat Gothic™ St Has any of you Technic-ians a direct line to Technic department in Billund to check this back? Thanks, Willy
