Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The best time to look for these sets before Christmas is probably after 15th December (as mentioned in the article)! I think I might manage to get mine as free 'Christmas Presents' -

Got to the last level yet? The Omens are no more deadly than the hordes of other weapons the guards carry. (I would suggest a lot of machine traps) I still voted for Nightfire though, because I STILL play multiplayer with one of my friends. The story isn't great, but man, the multiplayer is funny!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
(With the Thunder Drill being The Mole ) Let's think about new molds: 1. Pretty obvious, the monsters! 2. The cockpit 'rollcage' piece used in all the sets but 2 3. The mech's left hand weapon (I think. No, I'n not taking about the circular saw) 4. Some of the cutting pieces on the arms of the medium sized vehicle (8959) 5. The massive wheels on the cutting vehicle and the Thunder Drill. 6. The large round orange pieces in the massive crystal excavator and behinf the 'Thunder's' Drill. 7. The casing around the drill on the Thunder Drill 8. The small drilling piece itself (still not as good as the chrome Rock Raiders piece, but chroming's now too expensive. 9. A new type of caterpillar tracks on the massive excavation vehicle. And some 'Resused after a long time or just very rare pieces': 1. The miner's helmets 2. A rock carrying skip 3. The SWEET crystals (now in orange as well) 4. The digger bucket piece in the medium sized cutter. 5. The new dirtbike mold 6. The good ol' 2 piece boulder mold. -
I get extra Force Powers with my Force Unleashed (It's a bonus from predording with GAME) The earliest any member of the public can possible get TFU is tomorrow for the UK! It seems weird to hear people wondering whether they want to go into town and pick it up when it's not released. PS3 and Wii both have their strong ponts and weak points (I have both). However, I must admit I barely ever play on the Wii because more PS3 games take my fancy. I have a confession to make - I CAN'T STAND freakin' Super Mario!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I second that I just love the new green colour scheme The only gripe I have about what I can see is that the monsters should be bigger and the humans should get new torsos. (Currently the torsos are Mars Mission!? -

Power Miners is better than Rock Raiders! PERIOD (oh well, at least I might be able to review some, if most people literally despise them) -
Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I just tried to use a language translator website (I'm sure some one here who's Dutch could translate the set names ) I got these results: 8956 Stone Cursor 8957 My Construction Machine ( ) 8958 No direct translation 8959 No direct translation 8960 THUNDER DRILL 8961 Crystal *something* EDIT: IT seems these are sorta null and void, thanks Wout for rectfying that Hey, I still got THUNDER DRILL right! -
Providing the raffle is still running, I'll provide a lonely set with a home!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It looked on the box pics like the monsters were different in each set, but perhaps they are all in the same mold. I also have the Lego magazine and the monsters look like they don't have opening mouths or moveable legs. I just wish I knew what was going on in the background on the largest Power Miners set... -
9 out of 10 Wii games (at least it seems to me) are babyish or for too many people (Ican't always have parties)

Review: 7979 Castle Advent Calendar (First Look)
The Rancor replied to brickbitz's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The only thing I want to know is what part is on the 24th (I bet someone's already asked) And if I get it I WON'T open it until 1st december! -
I came into this topic expecting a Death star the size of an X-Pod or rolling rock from Temple escape, but I was wrong. It's a sweet looking Death Star, but the beam almost looks too big

The Rancor replied to Akkhraziel's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think there is a lighthouse hideout made in Megabloks already, although I wouldn't dare post a pic! I happened to see it when I went to Woolworths the other day. !~(@$£? M&%&*!^#! (i think you know what's said) -
