  1. Actually, I've decided to put Roger Rabbit on hiatus, and start on Mr. Toad. Can you provide me with a bigger picture of him? Since Mr. Toad has never been a meet & greet character @ DL, I don't have a picture of the character helmet, so I have to start from scratch.
  2. Wow, backyard of WDW, it's like my dream to live even remotely near any Disney. The closest I ever got to living near a Disneyland was during the summer in Hong Kong, and even then, it was a 90 minute bus ride from home to park. It's one of the cons of living in Vancouver, all you get is forest, forest and more forest... not even a theme park.
  3. I live in Vancouver, I've only been to Disneyland 3 times, I know I've been on the ride, I just don't remember which of my 3 visits, and I don't exactly remember much about the ride either.
  4. you're right, i'll try that... however, i don't know how to customize the fabric, i might have to ask around.
  5. That head would be quite easy to sculpt, but I always thought that the collar should be included in the torso decal. Tell you what, I'll give it a try, you might see it within the next 2 weeks. Right now I'm pretty busy, currently working on Roger Rabbit, Chip/Dale, Goofy. And in addition, I want to make a mold for the Mickey Mouse head I did a while back, then cast it in resin. However, I have no idea how to make a mold, so if anyone can provide me with a tutorial, or some steps it would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. i don't know why it's white speckled either, is it possible that it's the way i cured it? I boil it, so maybe that's why.
  7. As I said on my last post, I will be making more headpieces for my Disney minifig project, and here they are: Tigger, Stitch, Tarzan, Ariel. Tigger and Stitch: Front View: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2619275085/ Back View: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2620099716/ Overall, the Tigger turned out better than I expected, and the Stitch head is quite the abomination. I'll probably try remaking it sometime in the near future. Ariel and Tarzan: Front View: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2620098034/ Back View: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2620098608/ These are just the hair pieces, they need to be painted though, Sculpey changes colour after hardening, so they aren't in the colours that I intended. Remember that these are just the hair/head pieces, the torsos and legs will be modified as my Bricklink order arrives. Also, sorry for having to click the links to view the pictures, I'm still having problems with posting images. Thanks, feedback appreciated.
  8. yeah, i did use sculpey. it's cheap and easy to use, however, it's quite fragile.
  9. This is PERFECT! I'm going to stick with this one, but it probably won't be finished until early august, have to wait for a bunch of orders to arrive from Bricklink before I can continue. I'll be making more character helmuts in the time being though, and will be posting them when I am finished. One quick question: When I was curing the sculpey (for the Beast head), I left the horns inside while it was boiling. And now, the horns are stuck. Is there any way to get them out without wrecking the surrounding sculpey?
  10. ohh. right., well the center: height = 2.5cm, width = 1cm... again, it's only a close approximate. thanks
  11. thanks, im going to make decals for the actual clothes for the characters. for the hagrid torso: height = 2.5cm, width = 1cm. don't know if it's right, perhaps once you manage to dig yours out, then u can double check. thanks for the offer.
  12. I posted a topic last month about creating disney figs... and finally, they're close to existence. i made some of the helmets that will be used for the characters: mickey, donald, beast. (mickey and donald still require paint) However, i have a little problem.. the beast head is too big to look natural on the normal figs... and the only big body fig is Hagrid, which im sorry to say i don't know how to create decals for. does anyone have any suggestion as to what i should use to make beast's body? 13. Would it be possible for someone to make me a decal template for the Lego mermaid tail (from the HP sets)
  14. thank you so much, i love the one with the male torso, it will go well with that wrestling match i'm building
  15. Is no one going to make these? I hope someone would make them soon, thank you.
  16. can someone make a decal of the princess leia slave pattern? here's the picture: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb87c02 I would also like a decal for a bare male torso. thank you
  17. I was thinking of making them into more minifig scale. No offense, but those 3 characters are humongous.
  18. My cousin just came back from his first trip to Disneyland and he can't stop talking about it. So, for his birthday, I was planning to make a set of Disney minifigs for him. I've never really done customization before, and just followed the steps from reading the tutorials. However, a problem arised. I made a Mickey Mouse head gear (similar to the official Werewolf helmet from Lego) with sculpey, but the final piece looks incredibly crude, and extremely fragile. I blame the crudeness on my lack of artistic skills, but the sculpey isn't really the type of material to use when making playable minifigs. So, I was just wondering, would it be possible to comission people like Brickforge or Arealight to make my designs with their materials? Would they be willing to create completely new molds just to make some new headgear for one customer? Any reply is appreciated, thank you.
  19. don't know if you know this, but there's a movie coming out called journey to the center of the earth 3D. you can probably go watch that to get some more inspiration. plus.. i think you should add a kid into the characters, like with the short legs etc. a kid for comedic effect.
  20. i think that you should actually try to build a real ride out of it... with tracks and scenery and other flashy stuff. i would be cool to see the mole running on a roller coaster track.
  21. Oh, thanks for the tip imperialshadows. This is my first post on here, so I really have no idea how to go about it. Technically, many of the pictures can be found online, since the characters from Disney only have 1 outfit in their entire existence. Some characters I would like to see: Aladdin (Aladdin, Genie), Toy Story (Woody, Buzz), Tarzan, Peter Pan, and since it's the Disney minifig project, the Disney Princesses. The outfits from the movies will do, and once again thanks.
  22. I am looking to make Disney minifigs, and was wondering if anyone could make decals for the Disney characters (not the Anthropomorphic characters ie Mickey, Donald), but the characters that could be easily portrayed in minifig form (Aladdin, Cinderella etc). I would have done these myself, but I can't even draw stick figures to save my life, let alone lego torsos. Thanks for any help PS, I want to make them in flesh color.
