Here's the newest additions. I am officially out of helmets to build onto, so I will now focus on making molds. Resin versions should be available by next week, if the mold making goes well. Also, a note to Norrington, I really wanted to do Mr. Rat, I actually did one, it broke, and I ran out of brown sculpey, so forgive me. And ImperialShadows, I hope you're happy with the Scrooge McDuck, it turned out pretty good (the glasses aren't sculpey, I twisted a paper clip) I also hope you can continue making decals for all the new characters, your work is beautiful. i just wanted to add the eyes for some of the disney heads i already cured, don't want to risk ruining those, so i'll probably just make the parts i want to make, then cure them, and glue them onto the original, seems safer

Is it possible to cure sculpey again? For example, I made something from sculpey and then cured it, afterwards, I decided to add something else to it. Is it possible to cure the sculpey again? Would the original piece break?

Disney Minifigs 3

I can do badger too, but i'm really sorry, cause I can't do the diving gear. What i do is I mold over the helmet, there's a lego helmet inside every one of those character heads. This makes the helmet end up much larger, and that fits with the disney ones, cause aall the disney heads are extra-large. However, the diving gear has to be more form fitting, and it also requires a visor, which i can't make at all. -
Do you know where that bowler came from? Is it custom made? Or ordered from and online customizer?

Disney Minifigs 3

1) No, the goofy, mole hats won't fit on a standard minifig, they are kind of like the feathers for the Indian theme, or plumes for Pirates. Goofy and Mole have a hole in their heads for the hats. 2) They are helmets that go over the standard head. I modeled it after the Studios werewolf helmet. By the way, I'm officially done all the ones that I want, so if anyone has any requests for their favourite Disney characters, I'm open to make them. I will make the first 5 requests, right now in this order: 1) Norrington - Mr. Rat (I will need pictures, preferably like the one you gave me for Mole) 2) Stony - Brer Rabbit 3) ImperialShadows - Scrooge McDuck 4) OPEN 5) OPEN -

The Wall-E isn't mine, I actually found it on another site and thought it looked really good, so I made my own copy. As for the Brer Rabbit, his face is quite similar to Chip n' Dale, so once I make Chip n' Dale I'll work on Brer. Shouldn't be long, I'm doing Winnie the Pooh now, then should be Chip or Dale, and then, I'm taking requests. -
I know I said that I would post these over the weekend once I was finished making them. However, some jerk didn't show up and I had to cancel all my plans for the day, thus, I sat at home all day and worked non-stop. Only 3 figures this time: Goofy, Mr. Mole, and Roger Rabbit. I also included a minifig scale Wall-E, I found it online and decided to make my own. Disney Decals to Accompany tin7's Sculpted Heads
tin7_creations replied to Shadows's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I shall make Scrooge McDuck, all I need is the mold for the duck head, then I can make Donald, Daisy, Scrooge... and even Darkwing Duck. I really appreciate all the work that ImperialShadow is doing, all the decals looks so nice. I also appreciate the offer of making decals for future heads, much thanks. I made a few decals of my own for some of the human characters, they aren't as good as the ones made by ImperialShadow, but I'll post them here anyway. Aladdin: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2626631223/ (that little patch on the side is going to go on his left leg) Genie: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2626631249/ (ignore the head decal, I'm going to make a sculpey helmet for it) Ariel: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2626631263/ (edited from a Princess Leia slave torso decal) Prince Eric: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2627449596/ (can't have Ariel without her prince) Tarzan: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2626631297/ (edited from a decal found on this site) -

I'm not going to be posting new heads anytime soon, I want to make a few before I post again. Next post: Roger Rabbit, Goofy, Chip (Dale), Mr. Mole. Look forward to it in the coming weekend. -

Thanks. The Tigger is pretty good, but I think the Stitch could have turned out better. -
The newest addition to my Disney minifig collection is: Mr. Toad. The model turned out to be one of the best yet, since his head is quite easy to mold, however, some of the facial features might be a bit off, seeing that Mr. Toad is not a meet & greet character @ Disneyland, so I had nothing to model the helmet after except the cartoon. The collar for the character is made from a piece of paper, but once I find out how to make the fabric I will recreate the collar in fabric. Also, the decal for this character was made by ImperialShadows, and can be found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/darkmena...haddeustoad.png Front: http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625014165/ Side: http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625016061/ Back: http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625017483/ Head: http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625840048/, http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625840718/, http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625021051/ Collar: http://flickr.com/photos/tin7/2625839180/ Forgive me for all the scratches and cracks on the helmet. I used a tiny screwdriver to help me work in the details for the face, and the tip of it just leaves marks all over the model, I already tried my best to smooth them out before curing though. I have got to start making molds for these Disney things.

The one @ DL is still around though, been there since 1955, when DL opened. Also, I doubt Disney will care, any chance to make money, they'll jump on it. Just look @ what they do to those Disney Channel shows, you can't turn the corner in a toy store without seeing those merchandise. -

that's the one i read, i have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done, just want to be at least 90% sure before i do anything that could ruin the originals. trust me, once i find out how to make molds, i'll make all my pieces into molds and sell as many on bricklink as possible before disney finds out and decides to take me to court. -

i think it's possbile, i've read some tutorials online, but they aren't very clear, so i'm scared that even if i follow the instructions clearly, i might end up screwing up and ruining the original sculpey piece. it takes about 2 hours to make one... so if it gets ruined in the mold making process, that's 2 hours wasted. i want to make molds... cuz i made a mickey mouse head, and i seriously don't want to repeat the same thing to make minnie mouse, so i want to make a mold of that, then add a bow. same for donald/daisy, chip/dale... but i need some very straightforward tutorials. i think people make molds out of silicone though. -

mole wouldn't be too hard... rat however, mit be a little harder, cuz he has a longer face. what i do, is i mold the sculpey over a lego helmet, so round heads or oval shaped heads are easier to do. -
