Very nice looking butchers, would slot in well to medieval villages

That's an awesome lanscape, how big are you intending to build it? also what will it consist of? villages, another castle maybe outpost etc?
-
@Ihira you only think that, the bug will come back and bite you... has happened 3 times to me so far, and each time my collection of the castle sets grows, not that i'm fuly complaining though, its fun to try to find the older sets for decent prices then build them once I buy them. personalyl I'd set your castles up somewhere like a full lego world, but that would need ALOT of space. Or you could make your own castle with bricks you order to add to the collection.

Wow, that is amazing looking, the details on the landscape alone make it wow for me an the houses and bridges / trees just add on that.

That's an awesome sight, I'm also doing a collection of the castles and love seeing them completed and all setup. Personally I'd keep your sets seperate if you dismantle them, and also if you consider selling them please give me a pm, i'm looking to complete the entire castle range so I can sit back proud at having 1 of every kingdom set ever produced.

Awesome looking, loved the alcoves along the back wall and the columns.

Was going to type out my opinion on this set after building it at the weekend but this reply basically said the same thing. I wasn't too impressed sadly with the set. The stickers really put me off on building this due to the number.

@Deathleech, nice idea, consider it stolen... and as you say a pity they didn't do this themselves as it does look ALOT better than a simple long stick.
-
Quite happy with that as I LOVE the castle themes. :)

Picked up entire LOTR set collection and got 2 of the castle wall set purely as I liked the look and hoped that i could make helms deep even longer. Have just ordered some kingdoms sets off Ebay from the year 2000 mostly Bull knights stuff to add to my collection.
-
weakened and got this set x2, was quick to build and i enjoyed how it will link in to my Helms deep once its built. Although I do wish it had even one more good side model, but thats just being greedy I know. Looking forward to connecting both side by side to further extend the wall. The wall construction was nice, and I hope they begin using this in any future castle theme sets, and as already stated alot, its good for expanding the armies until a chess set or something comes out.

This was a great set for me, took a couple of nights, but I loved the small details, the different parts you got to build and the huge archway (Which I'd love to turn into a city gate). Would have liked a few more soldiers and maybe a few small stalls and onlookers for the event, but thats wishful thinking I suspect. Well worth the building time and cash imo.

not a bad set, I liked the details, but honestly wanted it a bit bigger, currently it felt a little too small for my liking. Do like some of the blocks in the set though. and the weapons :)

Built this last night, not a bad little set, some nice looking pieces and easy enough to throw together, but just seemed like another cart set to me. Do like the way the sides of the cart are built though, may be stealing it for making more for my medieval themes.

The entire lord of the rings set x1 (Bar the army set which I got x2) from Lego and a few of the older sets on ebay... it was a weak willed day for me it seems.
-
Great interior of the house, and the small loft / grass really helps make it look great. Now if only we could buy this along with some wooden type houses I could make a medieval village or 3

As promised (But a bit delayed as I kept forgetting), my small but growing armies: Still many sets to collect so the numbers will rise alot.

I keep the boxes from the sets i get which have them, though i'm not really worrie if i can get a set without a box. Do enjoy looking at the older kingdom boxes sometimes with the setup fights etc. Brings back memories

looks great, the shape is interesting, and I love the details inside like the statues, tables and beds etc. really brings some character into the build.
-
My god thats awesome... I'm tempted to do something similiar ontop of a mountain or built into a mountain side. your's is giving me alot of building ideas.
-
awesome job, I do with Romans were added into their own range or as a faction (Even if named differently) of the kingdoms range.
-
Wow! 'd happily take 2 of this as a set, very nicely done, and the details look great.
-
3-4 of this set could net you some decent sized armies to build on with the other sets, and also could make a decent sized castle / keep. or more obcvious an extended Helms deep wall line. Think I'll be picking a few more up to make double height walls for that imposing factor.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Duce replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm loving this, the castle in progress construction looks epic. especialyl like the pic view form the village building ith it in the background. I do reckon you should take pictures as it gets more built up (With mini figs looking like their doing the building) up to the new lord or baron moving in. -
Property Developer, Sadly it isn't a grownup version of lego building but is a great job for my age, and does help in bringing in cash for legos and other passions.
