it seems the last and only starwars set I've bought was a 7101 Lighsaber duel... probably in 1999
-
Before destroying it, I wanted to present you what I've played with when I was young, 15 years ago, and the last thing I've built before entering my dark age... Behold! the XB-13 (sorry for the not so good pictures, and the dust...) Some overview pictures The front cockîts detatch The central section open and reveal land vehicle, and access the floor with a ramp The hangar rear doors slide The hangar can be opened The whole ship's crew The moustached pilot waves goodbye

Thanks I didn't have the part for the eye to rotate left or ight, but the "head" can rotate up and down. I don't know if I'll buy sets, I'll need to buy a lot from bricklink as I'm planning to build a SSD (look in the star wars forum). But I'm getting back all my old legos from my parents house, so I may be able to build some cools stuff, but First I need to dismantle the spaceships to has been laying under a bed for the last 15 years

You know, it was just a joke about GB not winning a lot of gold medals in the olympics and so the minifigs with gold medals weren't really realistics

Why not using a subforum for the buyers, and another for the sellers? -

What I meant is to add a battlepack with a 90 degrees corner, with some of theses, you could something more complicated than a corridor Edit: Made a quick build. A corner can be connected to a corridor (the one you made) or another corner. The battlepack could have 2 corners and 2 minifig, or 1 special minifig like a commander or a hero -

I have two comments: - It may be cool to be able to build "infinite" corridors, the theed palace set with the stairs can only connect on one side, obviously you could build it in reverse, but you could show it on your pictures - And I think adding simples "corners packs" would add a lot more playability! -
But Jackson is a Tolkien fanboy... so he has put as many thing as possible in LOTR, and he will do the same with The hobbit... I tend to think "wait and see"... We won't change their decisions, even with the bests arguments... Tolkien books, including the hobbit, are a part of a huge and unique story.

So you basically agree about the possibility of a romance involving only legolas and kili?? I'm disappointed too... I know there is enough material to make three film, maybe four, but it will wander far away of the hobbit main story... I hope Jackson know what he is doing.

I voted "Excellent", but it could use some improvement Your asian style is really nice. I guess it's inspired by the japanese castles. To be more realistic your stone walls should be smoother and without windows. And you could have used angled parts for the corners, like 4460 and 3685. Hope you will do more build with this theme

As expected the cities's greebs will cost me an arm (more than half the totale price)... And it will be nearly impossible to build the SSD with an arm missing -
The chess idea isn't bad. Each guild could build the chess pieces representing themselves.

The team GB minifigs are cool, but I think they have more gold medal accessories than needed
-
Thank you! And yes it's the giant Spongebob set Made a small update... It can now land and the eye rotate. Also the eye can detatch and bring fear to the galaxy by itself!

Which Hobbit set are you most looking forward to?
Bob De Quatre replied to Ferrik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I didn't vote cause I don't know the sets, except for bag end wich I love. Could you include a description or a picture of each set? (if available) -
Not so long ago in a galaxy far, far away... but not far enough, one of this ship appeared suddenly... It was a scout, leading a devastating army of a mechanical civilization, enslaving every race they come across in their huge factory ships, consuming every drop of resources in the area to construct more and more of their army. (there is even an enormous factory ship that build factory ships) Build this ship last night... First time I ever touched a lego brick in the last 15 years... So I got a lego set at my apartment, never opened it, and I though it was the time. The second it was completed, I destroyed the model to start building something more to my tastes I'll let you guess what set it is, the winner got a cookie Oh and sorry for the crappy pictures...

I've made a try at the hobbit hole door challenge The obvious flaws are a gap 2-3 studs on each side of the door and 2 snot on the left of the door Edit: Here is the LDD file

[MOC] Yet another Super Star Destroyer Executor...
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've created a google spreadsheet to prepare my bricklink orders. It lists all the parts, with a thumbnail, part id, color, amount, amount already possessed, amount needed. Next are 4 columns to add the parts price for 4 bricklink store, and one column for lego PaB. The last column calculate the total cost per part, using the cheaper store. The problem is the stores... Anyone knows a good sellers in europe? I've checked the appropriate thread and found a great store, but it didn't have all parts -
I don't know if it has already been discuss, but an rivendell set would be great, and it could include an old bilbo
-
Maybe what seems wrong with the legs (and the feets) is their length. Your mech has an humanoid shape, but it's legs are shorts compared to it's torso and arms, maybe that's why we focus on the feets...

Smalls updates for the version 1.2: - the engines bodies will now hold together - modified the middle engines banks - modified the area between the middle engines - updated the feets (wanted to add some dark red as I love that color.... but finally used dark bluish gray) Brick count: - Frame 1338 (includes greebs on the sides and part of the engine area) - Hull 530 - Cities 2182 - Engines 404 - Feets 267 (optional, could be a lot less) Total brick count: 4721
