Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Tobias_Jay replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I personally agree with both of you. I think it's very plausible that Ronin is/was a member of the Pirates, but we shouldn't be so quick to come to a conclusion based on a figure design. Mandate brought up the example of Ash's belt. I seem to remember a large tussle about Ash being a servant of the Overlord, or something, because they shared a symbol. It was just a design on a figure. It's possible and I'm prepared to accept a humble 'I told you so' if it is true, but there isn't definitive evidence at the moment.- 4,591 replies

Lego Ninjago 2016

I don't think we should be so quick to conclude that Dogshank is female. These descriptions have been incorrect in the past. For example's sake, this is an extract from the Jay Walker One description: 'Capture ghost discs fired from the haunted gateway and shoot them back at Blade Master Bansha and his Ghost Warriors.' As you can see, it describes Bansha as male when she is portrayed as female in the show and on her figure. I'm definitely open to the possibility that Dogshank could be female, but I think we should take it with a pinch of salt. Sorry to be a downer! -

I have had the same suspicion with Ronin's possible involvement with these pirates, like say maybe he used to be a member of their crew or something. It's not like he holds much in the way of backstory at the moment. While this is a cool theory, I seem to remember Cryptor exploding at the end of season 3. I could be wrong though.- 4,591 replies

Lego Ninjago 2016

I'm personally relieved that this wave is so small. It'll give me the chance to catch up with the sets from this year's waves. I'm glad that the elemental dragons are being realised in set form. It's a bit funny that Cole's dragon is so small, but time will tell on how it looks. Season 5 spoilers ahead. -

Good lord, so much hate over an innocent cameo. It'll probably never be referenced again and is just a fun way to send Chima off into the realm of forgotten themes. There is no way Chima and Ninjago will 'crossover.' Chima is done and the writers, surely, wouldn't try to make it relevant again through Ninjago.- 4,591 replies

I have seen the Jay Walker One at Kmart, but I assume the rest will be released in August. Jay Walker One may be a Kmart exclusive in Australia released early for the mid-year sales.
-
This plot line sounds very intriguing. There could be something darker between the lines. There is a cultist named Kapau and an Anacondrai snake named Kapau'rai... There could be more to this alleged tournament than meets the eye.

Volume 7 of Legends of Chima comes out on the 27th in Australia. On the same date, a box-set of volumes 5-7 will come out. This covers the Outlands and the Fire vs. Ice episodes. The latter really helps me because I still haven't collected any of the Chima DVDs yet.

Perhaps they are in the sets we haven't seen yet. It would be odd if the main characters weren't included in a wave, especially when the others are getting new armour pieces.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)

The game does exist for PC. EB Games in Australia has a PC version for preorder. -
Are these sets due for a January or December release, like Rebooted?
-
That's odd. She has used Spinjitzu in the past (specifically episode 25). Then again, I guess these sorts of mistakes have happened many times in the past.

Darn, I will have to venture to eBay for this one. Polybags like that never appear in Australia (to my knowledge). Kinda surprising really. Why couldn't he be in the Visual Dictionary! I do love that they included a trophy for Dareth.
-
Bears, hurrah! This new wave is going to be great. It's a bit odd that they have a mech though. Should look awesome though! Now that is a capital idea. From this list, the battle packs are the sets that excite me the most.
-
Interesting, never thought we'd see more Fire vs. Ice sets. The battle packs are a great idea. Give us more generic tribe members to build up armies. Hopefully we see more of those. Also, I hope these Ice Bears have head molds that can be used for the Bear tribe. Perhaps we will be seeing Bladvic in a set next year?
-
This list excites me, but I was getting used to having 6-7 sets in the wave. Meanwhile, The Fold posted this on their Instagram. Could that be a preview of the new ninja suits on the screen in the corner? I can't really tell, but they might be due to the hashtag, 'whatnewsuits?', attached to the post.

I think it is a great set, I don't really get the negativity surrounding the set.
-
Sounds very interesting. Can't wait!

Yeah, Destructoid was advertised as a Big W exclusive in AUS. With so many opportunities for exclusive minifigs, this is a disappointing surprise. I imagine LEGO told them it was an exclusive minifigure before they put him in Destructoid. It would be a wonderful exclusive if he wasn't included in Destructoid. Of course this won't stop me from buying this book. I was going to try and get it regardless of what the figure was going to be.

I hope we get and a new Lord Business with a face that isn't frowning. We have 3 face prints for him and none of them are smiling. -

I believe it was confirmed at Toy Fair this year that Ninjago would continue into 2015 and beyond. I think Ninjago is here to stay for a little while longer.
