  1. I decided to have a crack at the Bowling alley. Here are a couple of pics. More can be found in the Flickr link in my signature. Cheers
  2. Great to see a couple of modules already guys. Adho15 will you be building the LDD version with figures etc? Eskallon, your build looks good, though you stll have a bit of empty space you could fill with bins for broken bits of droids etc and perhaps some sort of jail to keep the droids locked away even though they are deactivated. Good stuff all round though, keep em coming.
  3. Wow, they aren't wasting time marking that set down! That's a shelf life of all of 3 months. Maybe I better get in to Kmart and snap one up Or maybe I will wait for a 15% off day to boot.
  4. Nice work Athos, this is a nice representation of Castle Frankenstein. I love the evocative dark mood to the creation, especially with the dead person in the sulkie. The towers and landscape look great, and the face on the entrance looks great. Say, when did you find time to build? I thought you would be busy changing nappies
  5. A friend of CGHair's is a friend of mine, welcome aboard Pally, now get building! We want to see what type of Castle creations you can build.
  6. Welcome from across the ditch! I too got back into Lego, as it is a great hobby and way to build with my sons. If they break something you just rebuild it Great to hear there is a few BL stores in NZ now, give Maxspace a look too as he only has to mail from Australia. Always has about 350000 pieces at any given time.
  7. If there is a valid reason to make a room larger then by all means combine two 16 x 16 modules together to make a mess hall larger etc, but most rooms should quite easily fit on a 16 x 16, just take a look at the Castle Community Build to see what members have been able to squezze onto this size.
  8. Great to see all the interest. Just remember people to put your entries into the Build thread I can't wait to see what people come up with for this project.
  9. Welcome aboard, your Hoth base is taking shape rather nicely, lots of work and great working functions really add to the appeal of this. Great stuff.
  10. I am in the same boat, so to speak, but hope to churn out something shortly As for which modules, I will probably take something that hasn't been done.
  11. This is an amazing MOC Mos Eisley, thanks for sharing it with us. The house really has a spooky feel to it and I love the fence, boarded windows trees and all those brown stalks too I also quite like the 10199 Haunted House design too, keep up the good work. ISC
  12. Nice to see we are up and running. Perhaps members can help out with rooms to be added to the build. I suggest a few of the following. Mess Hall (Clones) Bathrooms Briefing rooms Munitions depots Hangars (possibly large modules at least) Bridge 37 Turbo lift between levels Gunner placements Radar room Quarters Medical bay Detention block Escape pods room Bowling alley Games room Training rooms Droid repair room Captains quarters Jedi quarters Communications room etc Good luck to all the builders, I hope to be able to build a module or two as time dictates. Remember to have fun.
  13. Looks like a blast, great to see so many pics of the event too Bonaparte. Now I am looking forward to Brickworld10 even more next year. Cheers.
  14. Thats not a problem mate, it can be tough with using english on this site if it isn't your native tongue. As for the set, I feel it is a nice set, but prefer Green grocer to it due to Cafe Corner having no interior. From the outside they both look fantastic though. Kids will do that to you.... Shameless plug On!
  15. Sorry but i am having trouble understanding just what you are asking? Are you trying to link to another site? Post pictures of Cafe Corner? The set itself is currently sold out in a few countries on S@H, so if you want it grab it! It seems like Lego will only have two Modular sets on sale at one time, and as this is the oldest of the three currently on sale you better grab it now. Cheers ISC
  16. This is one amazing piece of spooky building! I noticed this during the BrickCon coverage, and I think it was showcased on Brothers Brick too. I love the sand green with the great grey arches, really catches the malevolence. It is actually based of the architecture of Antonio Gaudi, the builder is Brickbaron Just so you know Wout, the image posting guidelines ask for pictures to be no bigger than 800x640, this pic is more like 3500x2500, so a link would be better. Here is a link to Brickbaron's Flickr, and a better sized pic Just amazing curves, reminds me of Addam's Family and The Munsters. Cheers Wout.
  17. Spend two lots of $20 at Kmart, enter your two reciept numbers on bricktober.com.au, then you could win a trip for 4 to Legoland California. Also each docket can earn you bonus free stuff like key rings up to big sets. So get moving man!
  18. Well if it helps, that is the same code I got, so maybe it is what natelite was alluding too?
  19. Hey Thrash, happy birthday mate! Glad to see you are involved in the new Community project coming up, and hope you have a great day with lots of custom Lego pressies!
  20. I would love to see a nice large Cloud City set, as mentioned by loads of other members already. JCC your idea about a Darth Vader funeral is probably a bit morbid for a kids set, however Ghost Jedi figures would be amazing. Trans Clear or Trans Green Figures would be amazing! Probably brittle though.
  21. Not to mention if you tilt the decoder print out down you can make out the words "try again", at least on mine anyway
  22. I want to thank Dragonator for hosting a great game, with lots of action. The Castle design was vast and impressive, with some great lighting and effects. Perhaps you would care to show us the creation in its entirety. As for me, I was Simon the Dragon assasin, and had I not gone so hard on Shadows, perhaps I would have hung around a lot longer, though draggy was dropping hints about me being old and slow, when I murdered people. My team mates fought hard to keep me in the game, not realising that my ability would transfer down the line. This probably put us at a disadvantage, but boy it was fun having the ultimate power! We had many a PM exchange trying to figure out who to target each night too. Well played winners.
  23. Well done on another amazing coastline scene I have been meaning to comment on the amazing work on the church, but now the finished moc just seals the deal. An all round inspiring creation, well worthy of frontpaging. I love all the detailing on the church, especially the windows. The cliff face appears to be made out of lots of BURP's and LURP's, is this right? The water tiling works well on a large enough creation such as yours, had you considered raising the white tiles by one plate to make the waves rise out of the water? perhaps using jumpers underneath to allow angled waves. Great stuff!
  24. That is a really nice idea for a Modular Christmas shop, well done! It could do with a chimney as well. Keep up the creative work.
  25. This is a well thought out township, Lots of nice details all around. I agree with Stash about the Charcoal Maker, very good idea. As for the Medieval Market Village, whilst I love the set, I really would like to see people be more creative with the parts and change it around in there MOC's, since you put so much effort into the rest of the town. Don't get me wrong, you have done a great job, I just look for originality in all parts of the build. Well done.
