A really nice one Sly, I actually contemplated building a complementary MOC to rival this. Lots of nice techniques to enrich the whole feel of the outpost. Great stuff.

I would like to look closer at the entrance archway for any details or clues This is gonna be great, you know I heard they used to have a pet giant squid on the island that they would feed makak's too. Though it could have been lost in translation, kind of like groundhog day or ghostbusting, well that's enough Bill Murray references for my liking. I would almost consider turning for Bill.

Looks great so far, just a nice sleek creation faithful to the original.

Its so good to finally arrive and get off that bus I would like to snap a picture of the foot prints please, as well as the animal tracks Perhaps we can finally enjoy this eclipse.

A truly horrifying creation! Well done on a well designed haunted house. Lots of nice detailing.

A very nice and colourful creation. Nicely done even down to the picture of himself on the wall Good luck in the competition. -
A great creation Thrash. While there is plenty of great action and posing of figures, building in black always makes it hard to photograph. Mixing enough brown, grey and bley seems to have lightened up the cave somewhat. Great stuff.

When in doubt about weight and shipping charges, just consult Bricklink's catalog. It gives you box dimensions and weight etc allowing you to work out roughly what shipping will be using calculators on postage websites like USPS and Aus Post -

Checked out the clearance items at Kmart, they had City corner for $69, Tan house for $99, Soldiers fort for $60, Squiddy for $6, Orange SP3 guy for $10, racers all about $7. If anyone hears them dropping further, let us know, because at the moment, it just feels like a 20% off sale without the good sets. Its nice to know that shipito.com is legit and a happy experience for you, may be worth a try in future. Cheers -

Yup, just managed to offload a 10195 to help with the trip. Maybe I can pick the Imperial Flagship up in the US at the nice exchange rate Probably have to mail it home though I do remember reading about a SW fan who took the 10179 on a US flight to another country as carry on luggage though, probably need to buy a spare set for that behemoth. I would want to open the box and get started, do you think the stewards would mind me spreading out the bricks on the aisle? -
What are you talking about? Jack-in-the-box? What's that got to do with New Years Well if this is what you can build with limited experience, 2010 promises to be amazing!

Thanks for the tip earlier, it appears to be Australia wide on the $30 Venice sets at Kmarts. I had to reach up to the back of the top shelf to snap up a couple myself, its good to be 197cms. They are awesome parts packs with loads of dark tan etc btw. That 10210 is lurvly! -
Avast ye Fleshies! Well done on an inspired Happy SlyOwl-esque build! The use of many trademark pieces caught my attention straight away, including and not limited too the dark tan flower pot and tentacles, the TS green lily pads, shirtless dude from Fight on flight wing, and of course the pig! Bravo on an abstract and interesting entry.

A Happy New Year to all the great people who make Eurobricks my favourite place to visit! A special thanks goes out to the Staff who without their efforts we wouldn't exist, Cheers and bring on another great year of Lego news, MOCs and discussion.

Rook, this is just an amazingly detailed and over the top creation! To put 4 months into this project is a lot of time, energy and bricks, but I think as do a lot of others that the effort is well worth it! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. Cheers

A nice creation in a colour where there isn't a lot of pieces for vehicles. Great stuff.
-
Nice work Sieggy, this looks very nice for a fantasy sci fi based pirate ship. The quad guns and skull as well as the engine greebling all add to the overall design nicely.
-
A nice beach side creation, you can feel the tension in the air.
-
Just beautiful work Erdy! You continue to get better and better with your MOCs. This is one of my favs of yours for sure. The Ice cream tubs are great, as are the nice little details achieved thru interesting parts usage. I will look over this in time for inspiration.

Happy Birthday Sly Owl! Have a great day.
