  1. A very nice contribution to the Community build. Love the bird, the interior and exterior. Good stuff.
  2. I am really quiet embarrassed to say I do not own a single Castle ,yet I know how to make them . Fortunately I do own a couple of MMV's though and loads of smaller sets. I have the Forestmen Hidden Outpost but not the larger set you mentioned (had to get a black Forestman) Thanks for compiling this list of beauties Dillon, great work on the selections.
  3. Some really great work there Legostein! Cheers.
  4. Go'en out west is my newest title. Most likely due to Brickster. I am planning on a Wild West MOC at the moment, so this is the most likely explanation.
  5. A nice contrast between this and you Staff entry Sly, you have been very busy in the last few months Great techniques and nice parts usage on both MOCs. Cheers.
  6. Sly -1 Erdy - 1 Jipay - 1 Great job everyone, some really nice entries.
  7. Off to a great start Steve, the few things bothering me is the fact that the entrance is off center with two round brick towers on one side and one tower on the other. Another thing is the black baseplate for the 1st floor, perhaps raising the black baseplate on the first floor up or thickening it would give a stronger thicker floor like appearance to the different levels. I also find all the little windows a bit plain and distracting too, perhaps some snot style windows using 1 x 2 clear bricks would allow for a different look, or even half setting windows in with jumper bricks. You could also break up the all white of the frames with tan or grey plates between. Probably need a reference for me to make all these calls, when you probably have the design spot on already
  8. Not this year unfortunately, I live near Sydney so it would still cost a little to make the trip down to Melbourne besides all my money is being saved towards BWorld. I haven't bought more than a couple of sets since June last year, what with mortgage and daycare blah blah blahGotta maximise the US experience while there. Oh great, now I gotta go edit my details again
  9. Good to see the new sets are turning up. Welcome to the Aussie thread Kenny. I scoured my local Kmarts and Big W south of Sydney, but no luck on new sets. Kmart hasn't further reduced their mark downs yet either. The price diff vs US almost makes it worth buying whole collections of themes from BL. As for TRU's prices being the same as S@H, thats because they are the inflated prices. I actually expect Battle packs to still be $20 at normal retailers vs TRU etc.
  10. Another Aussie making the trip! I have registered as well and encountered the same issue. I guess as long as you have picked Australia as the country state probably doesn't matter. Might see you there too. I will be displaying with Stash2sixx.
  11. I would like to turn the statue towards the vacant torch hole in the wall. Otherwise we may want to try moving one limb at a time. It seems moving all three existing torches got us somewhere as well.
  12. Well I am stumped on this anagram. I can't even get an eight letter word with Si in it. My other idea is that only the letters with dashes are of significance. megablocks Revive Lust Silver Sheave Lost Us Silver Leaves Shut So Silver Leaves Shot Us Silver Heals Votes Us Silver Hates Loves Us Silver Hates Solve Us Silver Haves Use Slot Silver Have Uses Lost That's the best of a long bunch people.
  13. Thanks for that Brickster, I was hoping you would have some opinions on the Western theme. I like the gloves on the hands, I have looked into BL for Tan fedora's as well. I wasn't happy with those two torso's you mentioned as much as the others. The Bandito torso is from the Jawa's in the 10144 Sandcrawler set. Cheers.
  14. I am about to build a western town and would like any feedback you guys have on the figure selection I have jumbled together from Indy, Han Solo, Jawa's, Pirates etc. Any ideas for other headgear etc appreciated too. 1. Fancy city slicker 2. Ranch owner 3. Gun for hire 4. Sheriff 1. Prospector 2. Bandito 3. Small Poncho dude 4. Large Poncho dude Cheers Big Ears!
  15. Really well thought out, built and photographed comic Sandy. The mythological creatures are quite good and the scenery is tops. Cheers
  16. No sign yet to my knowledge. You can also check out the Aussie Sales thread to keep more up to date Head on over to the Welcome forum to let us know some more about yourself too
  17. Like everyone has mentioned, it is an immediate assault of colour, yet after a bit it rewards a closer look at all the details and is quite nicely designed Lime green is growing on me as a colour, though it just feel like a bit too much on this beautiful creation. The little architectural pieces are nicely done. Cheers ISC
  18. Some great builds so far people. I especially like Oky's parts usage. Great job and keep inspiring each other to try new techniques
  19. Thanks for the frontpaging and blogging guys
  20. Glad you like. I wanted to try out your design for the Pirate Ice cream parlour. Thanks, I don't mind you posting it.
  21. A great job on this train. A nice choice for colours as well as some nice styling, going from 5 wide to 4 then 6, just the kind of thing I would like to have a crack at. Cheers
  22. Oooo I like you, sassy! Yes I agree we should look for a slot for this powerful sword to be slid into much like Excalibur, though we will probably just get it stuck somewhere...
  23. Good work on the sword boys! It seems to have revealed the hiding place of the sword, perhaps it will be of use later, but probably not. ooooo, scratchy rocks! scaryyyyyy stuff that. I forgot my sunscreen last weekend whilst sunbaking, anyone wanna see a Red Moon earlier than scheduled?
  24. Thanks for taking the time to comment people. Glad you all like the archway, stairs and ice cream shop. It may be as simple as changing the awnings colour to stop the colour clash. Cheers. ISC. You would trip too looking at the cracks in the sidewalk on this street I would have liked a sign for the ice cream shop or chinese resturant, but ran out of time before moving the house around. I might try a different Modular build one day. So the arches are over detailed yet you want me to close in the open base of the bricks? Svelte and I mucked around with this for a while before getting to the end product, detailed but not too much.
  25. I couldn't come up with a clever name for my first attempt at a Modular Cafe Corner style building. I built the first level with good friend Svelte a week ago and then completed the top two levels later. There is a real clash of colours on this creation unfortunately, but as I am moving the whole house around, I have decided to call it finished for now. The bottom floor has an Erdy Icecream chain shop and the entrance to the Chinese resturant up above. The other floors have no interior to date. Hope you like. ISC.
