Its tough to comment as all you have done is build a straight river and little bridge. Your town really needs to be a bit more advanced when compared to a lot of the finished work that gets presented on EB. The one thing i would offer is to make the river curve, this is in keeping with traditional rivers that don't follow straight lines.

See below Yup, the current recievers of tags were well overdue for some lovin from me for past efforts, the rest will recieve tags on the basis of continuing work. Its the carrot that makes building/reviewing/map making more enjoyable. Exactly, I think the idea of focusing on one or two guilds primarily to define their habitat is the way to go, don't let this stop you from building in the factions you like either though. With this in mind I think we should kick off a couple of factions soon with people interested to have a discussion amongst themselves to determine the best way to go about defining the lifestyle of said faction. I look forward to what you can come up with.

I'm not seeing any issues with names, they no longer are relevant.

Have you tried logging in and out? Perhaps clearing the cache might help, sounds like a glitch to me.

Just beautifully done shutinc. The whole landscape is really quite decieving, it looks smaller than the actual size. The details all mesh so well together and the colours on the buildings really appeal to me. Love the trees and water features as well.

The background definitely lifts it, good job. I hate PS editing as much as you do, but the results are often worth it. Now will there be hobbits and dwarves on this mission? Do I have to make a Hobbit MOC now too?

Nice work, it looks very organic and built in to the hill quite nicely. I see your rock technique gets another go too. You have gone to a bit of trouble adding a nice title yet removing the background would be great as well, does your software support this?

Escape from Docking Bay 327 Eurobricks member spacepilot3000 has shown that if you want to make a home for your UCS Millennium Falcon, then do it properly. This is the culmination of 3 years of planning and ordering but well worth it in my opinion. Take a look at all the majesty of the project, from lighting, character positioning and sheer size! Amazing!

Well we do definitely need a map, and micro is a great idea in my opinion. I have added another question on areas/regions to be included. Please add more to your posts if I missed anything.

Not sure about the rest of you (SI Mocs is the exception) but I think actually making a microscale map, rather than drawing or using graphics would be more appealing in terms of laying out the kingdoms, and easy to add too in future as well. I have created the first poll question in this topic. If other ideas interest you in regards to poll questions then let me know.

Ah, but the difference is the guys on FBTB are enjoying running a contest like this, you would clearly not get any fun from running a similar contest. These contests are meant to make people have fun building and enjoy building original creations. If its not your thing then move along to a more canon SW discussion on this site, its obvious this topic is irritating you. Remember to enjoy this hobby, that's the whole point.

...and yet they were built for a Star Wars contest. Perhaps your answer lies within that little snippet.

Suvie, a map would be a great start to this whole shebang, even if we just start with one continent to begin to get us moving. It seems the idea of faction community building is picking up speed too, so please continue to brainstorm guys. Any one need a poll started about factions to include, or toher ideas, then mention it in here. Here are a couple of extra tags Rufus has whipped up for us! Skipper, if you would like to work on the index that would be amazing Sirens, your idea about factional avatars is great as well, that would really help group the people together as well.

I like the idea of a historical themed world map, great idea. If anyone has an idea on illustrating this or wants to run with it, I think we need to get a index of all factions and work from there. Great stuff already guys, and maybe a return to a Community Castle build is well overdue. The faction themed idea is fantastic.

Hello fellow Historical fans on Eurobricks, recently we have seen some amazing community minded efforts from maydayartist and Derfel Cadarn, not to mention our very own moderator Rufus that have helped to reinvigorate the Historic Themes Forum. I have enjoyed all the hard work and creativity that these fine members have put in and am now looking at commencing a project in the not to distant future in association with the new Historical Themes Regulator. What it will be is a secret for now, however I am looking for more members to have a positive influence on this great place to hang out! Tell us how you plan on shaking things up on Eurobricks, historically speaking. New ideas for unseen MOCs, a 'how to' guide for another aspect of building, or something completely different! Tell us all about it here, and I may start handing out a few special Tags for our members. Like any of these? Cheers ISC.
