  1. Happy Birthday Khorne and marcosbessa, have a swinging time!
  2. Nice one mate.
  3. I'm normally not a big fan of natural light and shadows in MOCs, however it is quite good in this instance, showing a harsh desert style of living. The build itself is quite nice and an amusing story too.
  4. A really nice rendition of Valholl. Its easy to forget that it is an LDD MOC, though the effort put into LDD to produce the detail is great.
  5. Some inspired work from all the micro builders of Valholl. I really like the integration of the hands as flags, the fields, city centre and more. Great job.
  6. The city looks superb Rook. Great job. Any chance of a close up shot or two of the Venator? Its so cute and I would love to have a crack at building one myself.
  7. Now that is just MAD! We should work on a Microscale capital build first of all, to get a feel for the landscape, but I love that picture, very inspiring.
  8. Check out John Avon, http://www.johnavon.com/ he painted the third pic you posted. Pretty sure I own a print of that piece. I like the use of green as well as lime for swamp. Trans green tiles work well too. Anyone else have some ideas for Abyssian? The WIP is coming along nicely.
  9. Jolly good show. Never gonna give you up! Beers @ BW On!
  10. Well Regulate his megablocks then No one wants to get Rick SIG Rolled after all.....
  11. Well I was originally planning on building the capital city castle, though it looks like it will have to wait till after Brickworld and Sydney Brick Show. I would really like to see the city itself built up on top of a swamp/marsh. I was/still am planning on building it atop a lime green SNOT base. Perhaps we could brainstorm a motif for the walled capital? I like the idea of a snake/dragon theme to the stonework, which I incorporated into my throne room build. See the floor pattern and the stone snakes wrapped around the columns. This is progressing nicely Hersbrucker. The inspiration pic looks sweet for the temple which appears to be taking shape nicely. Will the grassland be covered with vegetation/overgrown? Take time to think of the best angle for your photos too, this may force changes in the position of the temple. Will the action shot be of the team pulling ashore and gazing up towards the temple? You may wish to move it closer to the river, with bushland behind it. You may even want to angle it as well to break up the rectangular nature of the MOC. The stream looks great so far as does the rock archway. I feel it may be lost with the temple so far away from it unless the rock work continues closer. Get down and scope out the best angles that make it work for your idea of action/story telling.
  12. I realize its a little late, but if any Nocturnus builders are interested in some feedback on how to improve their building post Round 2, then shoot me a PM. We are afterall hoping to improve everyone's building skills and enjoy a great collaboration in Historica. Any one have ideas to kick Nocturnus along with some free builds? Should we flesh out our swamplands? Design ramshackle accommodation? build portions of farm land(what ever Nocturnians harvest ) Cheers from a tired and busy ISC, who still wants to help out.
  13. First of all, I love the look of the fleet, and secondly, you guessed it, would love to see a tutorial on your presentation style. Very catchy.
  14. If you are referring to the Crystal quest for round 3. Only a member of each guild can attain the crystal from their land, as is the lore of Derfel's back story.
  15. I just love the styling and colour scheme, great job all round on first designing in LDD and then seeing the build through to completion
  16. Awww nuts. Cecil would have had my vote for sure, he seems like such an upstanding Mitgardian Avalonian
  17. As I already mentioned elsewhere, the level of detail is great, the curved roof looks a treat and the usual nice landscape and photography are top shelf.
