  1. Same reason I got it, to MOC! Now that I would like to see! Thanks for the great facts around the design of this set. Cheers
  2. Outstanding work svelte! as always I was thinking about this set for the figs alone, but your indepth review showed all the great play features and awesome selection of useful parts for MOCing too! Now its a question of how many I will get not will I get any! Cheers Im off to get some fezinger Fezs now! (wow that was bad )
  3. Thanks for all the nice comments guys! It was an expensive set compared to others but for price per parts it was great. Sorry Whitefang for posting in the wrong forum
  4. Hewki, these are amazing! I have been a long term fan of the Dr too (cause I am old ) and I could easily tell which generation all the figures were! Well done! The Cybermen and Pyrovile are very creative too. Cheers
  5. This is a great MOC for the contest svelte! You have done well achieving the Classic town feel, yet including great characters and storyline as well! Fez On! PS: stop buying new sets before the rest of us
  6. Time to move house? sick of the old place? Then you need the Model Town House! If you don't like the house we can change it to something else, you need a school for the kids? price too much, how bout an apartment? Set Name: Model Town House Set Number: 4954 Theme: Creator Pieces: 1174 Minifigures: 0 Price: $70US, $100Aus Bricklink Brickset Peeron Box Dimensions 57.3 x 38 x 9.5cm The front of the box shows the main Creator house model The back of the box shows all three models and each vehicle. Instructions Three instruction booklets included, one for each model. Each is a pretty intense build, hence the large individual booklets. I decided to build the smallest model first. The Town House. Model 1: Town house. I really enjoyed building this model. It was a good way to ease in to building the other bigger models. This build consisted of two standalone town houses and a truck. I really liked the quaint neighborhood feel upon completing this section. On completing this section, there was a fair amount of bricks left over. It kind of felt like TLC could have made another floor for one of the houses from what was left over. The truck was a nice vehicle, though you wont fit a minifig in any of the vehicles except the convertible. They are scaled slightly smaller than a normal minifig car. A nice front on view, showing off the nice individualized windows on each house. It would have been a lot easier to make them copies of one another, but designers have gone for nice separate builds for each, bravo TLC. A peaceful suburban street. A better look at the side of two storey house. Birds eye view. Just look at the nice windows on the smaller house, as well as the great guttering. An imposing structure. Complete with truck. Model 2: The main house. For my next build I went for the centrepiece, the grand daddy of living Lego style. If this baby doesn't cut it you will need to move to the big smoke and find an apartment on Cafe Corner I love the corner detailing on this house, it is a fiddly part of the building and I often found myself pressing the tiles back onto the headlights after adding a few levels of bricks, however I think you will agree it looks really nice. From this angle it looks rather majestic, even a little like a haunted mansion! With a nice sports car parked on the driveway, the owners aren't short of a penny! Though it may get a bit drafty in the lower floor of the house looking at the massive gaps above the windows A quick view of the Garage and guttering on the side of the house, very nice. The door looks great open or closed and stays open very easily. A better view of the tiling outside the house, and a look at the side windows. Model 3: School house. Off we go to the lovely school down the road. Here is the typical angle as viewed by a Kindergarten child on the first day, a little intimidating! From this angle we can see the lovely layout of playground equipment, including the basketball court, see-saw, and jungle gym amongst others. A couple of views of the side of the school, complete with waste bin for lunch wrappers etc. A well built schoolyard and house. Birds eye view. Conclusion Parts: 9/10, An excellent variety of parts worthy of MOCing into other buildings etc. I was missing two parts unfortunately Build: 9/10, I enjoyed all builds, however the most intense is obviously the largest flagship of the set. Both of the other builds were left with quite a few spare parts. Design: 9/10, All three sets are strongly designed, I tip my hat to TLC, they pulled out all the stops on this set. Obviously with no interior or back of the house designing the score is slightly lower, but if those were included the price would have skyrocketed. Price: 9/10, I picked two up for $89 Australian each and sold one on for a tidy sum, so I certainly wont be complaining about the price per part In conclusion, I bought this set with the plan of bolstering my tan bricks, headlight and tile supplies, however I fell in love with the great designs and learn't a lot about Lego house building from the various models. I strongly recommend picking one up if you can find it at a good price. I believe fans were caught out when it stopped selling September last year. Its an awesome parts pack and features some great builds. So don't hesitate if you see one that's been sitting in some small town supermarket or elsewhere, because they fetch a hefty price on eBay and Bricklink nowadays. Never hire Dwarven removalists! ISC "I should have seen this coming!" Thanks for making it this far, some extra pics can be found at my Brickshelf
  7. A very nice exterior and interior all in one great MOC, Well done! I will be sure to try out some of these nice techniques for furniture etc. Cheers
  8. Well I have gotten some of the newer pieces. I just emailed S@H about the ridiculous pricing for normal bricks 3004, 3008, 3009, 3010 etc as they are nearly 50c Australian each! No one is going to buy two plain bricks for $1 that's nuts. Guess I will see how S@H responds.
  9. Why would we rip on you for wanting such an awesome set like Cloud City Wicked!
  10. I shall patiently await the outcome of this venture
  11. This is a great example of why official pictures are worth the wait! This set is drool worthy, I am not too dissapointed at the price as the new molds etc aren't cheap to make but well worth it in my opinion. Home One On!
  12. Awesome work Aliencat! I love the quirky details in this MOC. The invasion/encroachment of the cityscape is well constructed. As someone who is looking to MOC more city buildings in future, you have inspired me greatly, well done.
  13. A nice design, I have tried to post an image of yours as well, perhaps it has to do with BMP files? If you save the files as jpegs and upload to BS again this should remedy the problem.
  14. A solid review of a most highly anticipated new set! Well done Capt Zuloo, and enjoy your Emerald Night. I think your review may have persuaded me to get this fine Train for my collection.
  15. Well done Pedro! If this is your first foray into Castle, you have set the bar quite high! I love the roof, the exterior and interior. I will def check the BS folder too. The hair pieces are fantastic, the swept back hair is quite nice. I just ordered a few bits from Arealight, and will have to go back and have another look. If you have a chance to look at the list of unbuilt modules, you could help us finish the town off too. Cheers ISC
  16. Try the NZ thread, they have this same promotion at Toyworlds i think. Nice tractor though. That fedora is cool.
  17. Outstanding MOC's and story, well done on taking on a huge project, and making it work
  18. See the point is, he sent this same message to so many members that he got banned. It will still be in your inbox after his status is changed to banned outlaw
  19. Just don't open messages from members you don't know. This has happened from time to time, and they are generally members who have 0 or not many posts. Besides you shouldn't open links if you don't know who they are from.
  20. Well I am 30%, the kind you least expect to be evil! Perhaps we should rename this site EVILBRICKS Uniting Evil fans of Lego around the world
  21. Myer has 20% off Toys including Lego just for today! Buy Buy Buy
  22. My wife would say more than enough, and I would say not nearly enough! Somewhere between 100-200 I suppose, but its growing all the time
  23. A really nice Colosseum vignette you have there Thrash, great custom figures and I can definitely feel the mood of the whole piece. Well done!
  24. You mean the Lion head bricks. I agree they are probably the reason the Tan and Blue don't mesh well in my opinion.
  25. Here are some vine pieces 2488 and 55236
